I ordered from this vendor during the Spirit of '45 event at History Park in SJ this past weekend. Service was pretty slow even with only a few customers in line. The staff were super friendly, and self-serve condiments were available in front of the truck -- sauerkraut, relish, diced onions, ketchup, and various types of mustard. Got a hot dog. It was small and thin, maybe 6 inches long, and came on a small plain bun. The taste was fine, nothing noteworthy, far from a gourmet dog, although maybe their polish dog or other sausages are better. It wasn't bad for the price, even if kid-sized. Based on my experience, not for catering but purchasing from their food stand, I think 3 stars is appropriate. read more

My friends and I see Larry on tuesdays if we're by Sabor night club in San Jose. We usually stop by after we've had a couple shots, but even without the intoxication the dogs are great and the service is real friendly. I happened across Larry's amazing cart on South First Street one rainy night and the delicious aromas were too enticing to ignore. I was hooked from the first bite of my hot link. I've since gone out of my way to go back to his stand and tried the hot dog and polish as well, with similarly great results. The standard hot dog is one of the best I've had all by itself, and then with the huge selection of toppings and fixings, you cannot go wrong. And of course, bacon is always a great option! This is a hot dog cart, with a couple nearby chairs. For a late night meal it's great to find such a tasty option. I've wished on many occasion that I could get a hot link earlier in the day, but it's worth the wait for Larry to cook them up just right. So my son wanted a hot dog vendor for his 12 birthday so I found these guys on the internet. they were the only guys that I could find that would serve food longer than an hour without a crazy fee and serve an entire meal I got the package for 60 meals and paid the extra for chili cheese and bacon toppings. They sent a few guys over early to set up and alex was our server (( shout out to alex)) super sweet kid he was very professional and super cool. He was very social and funny and received my family very well. (We can be horribly vulgar and obnoxious lol hey he was serving weenies ) and never once was he offended or rude.
