It was okay for what it is, but the 4 of us all got sick afterwards. Would not recommend.

Small burger and hot dog joint with a solid chili cheese fries. Burgers look amazing and stacked. Friendly service. Limited seatings inside with a parking lot behind the restaurant. Small diner vibes. Got a medium chili cheese fries and that filled me up. Fries were crispy and slightly thin. The chili is on the drier side and would prefer to have a bit more of it. Add onions to enhance the flavor! Give some time for the cheese to melt. The burger was great.

Double cheese burger - tasty but salty

3.5 The burger was tasty overall but very salty, it actually bothered us and made it a bit hard to eat. The tater tots were crispy & yummy. It took more than 15min, closer to 20 for our order, which seems a bit slow specially that there was no one on the ordering line. But I noticed they have a lot of take out. The place is casual with some outdoor seating too.

Experience (4/5 stars): *Food: Happy burger came with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onion, and cheese. subbed the happy sauce for angry sauce, a spicy thousand island dressing. Burger was good with a side of fries and oreo shake! *Price: ~$10 for a happy burger Overall, I'd come back here for lunch!

My boyfriend, who is from Los Gatos, introduced me to one of his favorite local spots, and I can see why it's a representation of the town's character. This long-standing burger joint has a cozy and intimate setting, reminiscent of an old-school diner but on a smaller, more personal scale. It serves classic comfort food like burgers, hot dogs, fries, and milkshakes. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, and parking was super easy. The staff was incredibly friendly and informative, making the experience even better. I decided on the "Happy Burger," which is a single patty cheeseburger, and it was HUGE. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and everything a burger should be. The fries were delicious, but I couldn't even finish them! Compared to the usual fast-food chains like McDonald's or Wendy's, this place is in a different league. The quality is noticeably higher, and everything tastes incredibly fresh. I felt so comfortable and had a wonderful time. I'll definitely be back!

My two Cheese Dogs, side of small Tater TOTs, and a large PINK LEMONADE!!!

Hey there to all my YELP-ER friends and followers! Well I just had to escape to the famous South Bay Area this afternoon...this area of the entire Bay Area was my old stomping grounds...my first stop was the famous Valley Fair Mall by Westfield. I was returning merchandise but got caught up in MICHAEL KORS, MACY*S, and finally NORDSTROM. I was getting hungry so I drove my AURORA by Oldsmobile into Los Gatos. I remembered an 'ole favorite staple of mine...THE HAPPY HOUND!!! I always order two (yes two) Cheese Hound all beef hot dogs with a small side of Tater Tots and to wash it all down a large PINK Lemonade. This not only is a money SAVER but a meal that always makes me HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!!! The service is served with a smile as well as quick. The Ambiance is sit down inside either at the counter or grab a table. Since I last visited (been quite some time) there is outdoor seating under the STARS!!! Parking can be a bit crowded but there is parking on the street. Since 1971, this popular establishment has been a favorite of mine since I can't remember but if you're interested in a "Cheap n Cheerful" spot for a great meal...head over to The Happy Hound in Los Gatos CA. You won't be disappointed or sorry!

Dried up and overcooked fries terrible, The Burger was Mid at best.

Dried up and overcooked fries terrible. The Burger was Mid at best, I didn't see much special sauce & the burger was not stacked properly with condiments as it had little lettuce on the bottom of Burger & Tons of onions on top weird. I wouldn't eat a burger here I give it a 4 out of 10.

This place is not bad but also not good. Ordered 2 double patty burgers, onion rings, 2 soda and a hot dog and the total was about 50$ . The burger patties looked frozen and were tasteless. The onion rings look like the kind that you just buy and not battered in house. And about 8$ for a skinny hot dog. I understand this is old school style burgers but time has changed and y'all need to step it up a notch with flavors . The service is excellent and the people working there all seem very friendly. Also got tables outside to eat on a beautiful day! Unfortunately nothing special about the food that will bring me back here.

The Happy Hound is a cute and cozy eatery with a few tables inside including classic diner bar counter seats, and a clean and inviting atmosphere. Came by on a Saturday evening, parking was easy in the dedicated lot, service was friendly and efficient, making me feel welcome from the moment I stepped inside, it took about 10 minutes for my order to be ready, and the food was amazing. I got the hell hound with no spicy angry sauce, and it was perfect. The toppings were freshly grilled, and all of the ingredients were full of flavor, the jalapenos adding a nice spice, a bit of saltiness from the bacon, and just a savory delight from the melted cheese and hot dog itself. Add to that a large serving of garlic fries, slightly crisp, thin cut and piled high, smothered in a generous amount of garlic sauce and grated parmesan, it was too much to finish, but an absolutely satisfying meal... the entire casual dining experience way better than I expected.

I really love their fresh fries so I got their chili cheese fries and I thought they were good. I love their grilled chicken breast and I will always order one by itself because theirs are so juicy.

Most cheesesteak shops have a thick and chewy hoagie that sometimes gets to be bit too chewy and becomes a problem trying to take a clean bite - more often than not, it ends up with the meat falling out of the hoagie, and/or juice oozing out onto your lap. Not so here at New Jersey's! This is the first time I ate a cheesesteak with no mess, no meat falling out, no juice on my pants! They solve the problem by using a soft hoagie roll. Yet there is not the sogginess that one automatically expects, as there is little juice to be soaked up. If you think that this makes for a dry cheesesteak, it does not. The meat is tender, not dry at all, the onions and mushrooms are not limp, but the flavor is all there! Some people may prefer the thicker bun to give it a definite bite, but I do like this more refined eating experience!

I personally have not been to this location, but had tried them when they were just Jerseys off of Winchester blvd. A friend recommended them because he said he had the best onion rings and they make their own ranch dressing. I got the standard cheesesteak with onions and cheese. Sadly I did not really get the cheese with my cheesesteak, there was one hidden slice inside my sandwich. Definitely not what I am used to if I have a cheesesteak anywhere else. The flavor was good, I just missed the cheese :( I know people love this place, but I will probably just go back to my regular spot on Saratoga.

Since Main St Burgers is at the end of the street, I guess we've missed it in previous visits. It's located in a cute little corner and can be seen when crossing the streets. Not sure about parking, as parking anywhere in DT can get crazy during busy times. It's self order at the front and then wait to get called. I ended up getting the Cali Burger plus garlic fries. While I'm not a big burger person, I actually really enjoyed my burger. I thought it had the right amount of seasoning unlike some other places that relay on condiments to create the flavor. The mixed greens and avocado also gave it a great balance from the meat. I also enjoyed my garlic fries, but I wish the flavor was cooked more into the fries as opposed to having it just sit on top. My other three friends also enjoyed their burgers/sides, but we did have a little issue with the onion rings. While one friend had nice, crispy rings - the other had really soggy ones. He asked the staff if he could get new ones, and they complied. The new batch was much better. Kudos to the staff for willing to fix the issue. Staff was efficient, but there wasn't much interaction between us other than ordering and the onion ring incident. We couldn't figure out where the trash can was to leave our trash in, so we followed everyone else and left them in a bucket. It should be made clear where dishes/trash are supposed to go. Overall, I can definitely see myself coming back for both the burger and fries.

We got an impossible burger on a multigrain bun with red onion, avocado, sautéed mushrooms, chimichurri, and sriracha. This was a surprisingly delicious combo! Our kiddo liked the vanilla milkshake.
