When I got a call back from her all she said was "you need a new one". Okay.. why? Is there a nail, or something puncturing the tire, can we patch it, what? "uhh welll it's got sidewall issues and it's bald so you need all 4 tires replaced". Okay... so we can't patch it? "uhh we just recommend cause they are all bald to replace them." Sunday night, my car wouldn't start. I had it towed to superior on Sunday night and it was there…read morefor them first thing Monday morning. Superior noted on the invoice that the car was dead on arrival. Said they tested the battery and that they were able to start the vehicle with starting fluid after multiple attempts. Well, to me that means there were something wrong with the car battery. They got the car running and charged me $155. They kept the car all day, over seven hours to do the safety maintenance inspection that I didn't ask for. They didn't ask me either. Two days later, the car would not start again. I called superior to let them know and they said that the battery was OK when it was there. The battery was dead in their own words when they checked it. I don't understand why they didn't replace the battery. I was unable to go to work on my new job on Wednesday, I would think that an auto service center would recognize when a battery needs replaced.. I am homeless and sleeping in my car. I have no money to get it towed. Fortunately, somebody helped me in the Walmart parking lot to get the car running so I can drive it to a Walmart service center. If that kind person did not help me, I would've been stuck there. I would not have been able to go to work. I wouldn't had a place to sleep. Anyway, I think they should've changed the battery on Monday when the car was in their shop. I think they should've recognized that since it was dead on Sunday and Monday and it was a really old battery, they should have replaced it. Since they didn't, it was a big hassle for me not going back to Superior auto service again. It said on the invoice that they recommended that I monitor it. That is ridiculous. I'm supposed to just drive the car around and hope that it starts when I get back in. I would have to have an expense of it being towed. Shouldn't they fix the car so you don't get stranded somewhere ? Walmart charged me $150 for the battery and instillation. Superior charged me $155 and didn't fix the car. They just gave me a list of $2000 worth of stuff that needed to be Repaired.

I have a 2009 car I get checked every other year just to find out priority items to get fixed to keep it running another year or two. I called and told them that was my goal - if it was your car, give me a prioritized list of items that are must fixes. Rep suggested scheduling an oil change and they would do a full inspection. I thought I was dealing with a local shop where I would have a personal relationship/discussion with the guy doing the inspection. Not the case. At drop off there was a guy at a desk who took my keys and I was then emailed a laundry list of items to fix that totaled $7,000. I immediately knew this wasn't what I was looking for - even dealerships do a personal consultation with you explaining the work required and why it is needed and the impact/risk of not getting it done. I declined any service and took to a smaller shop local mechanic who did exactly as I asked - advised me on what he would fix if it was his car - the two urgent items to keep my car healthy. Those two items cost me $1,600 - Dynamic's estimate for those same two items was $4,000. Nice people, but for my use case and way of working, Dynamic was not what I needed.

Today I had to stand around for a while before someone could help me. But once they did, they were fast and efficient. The first time, they replaced one of my tires and disposed of the old one. It was done quickly and at a fair price. This time, I came in because my tire pressure light was on. They checked everything, topped off the air, and had me back in my car in less than 10 minutes--at no charge. Solid, trustworthy spot. I'll definitely keep coming back when I need tire help.

After the diag, she needed a new serpentine belt and some other things. I get it; shops gotta charge for shop fees and labor, totally understand that. Here's the fraud. They charged her $82 for the Serpentine belt. (Typical Serpentine Belt prices are $20 or less, even for a premium belt). This belt is available at $10 on RockAuto.com and $15 at Autozone and Walmart. Even the most premium belt I could find from a large parts store was less than half the price they chard us. I called them and asked where they got the belt from- Advance. Advance sells the belt to consumers for $32- no auto repair shop in their right minds would pay the same prices charged to walk-ins, so I know they definitely paid less than $32 for it. But EVEN at $32, $82 for a serpentine belt is 156% markup on a part that Advance delivered to them at no additional cost Never going to The Lube Center, Auto Spa, or Frederick Auto Repair again. I can absolutely confirm that they are frauds.
