The third time (today) I had an online coupon that was sent to me two days before I went in --again, they said the coupon didn't work and when I was able to convince them it came from Jiffy Lube, the charge was expensive--$138.!! they claimed their sign of prices was old. I live over 100 miles away and actively avoid going through Hemet when visiting Idyllwild! I impulsively decided to stop by this Valvoline while driving through for an oil change (a little early because my tire pressure alert came on while I was leaving Idyllwild). I waited about 10 minutes before my car was in the bay and they got to work. I got a full synthetic oil change and tire rotation, along with the recommended engine fluid change. Unlike Jiffy Lube, they have screens right by the driver side and an employee that goes over the recommended dealer service based on what's been reported (and their records but I was a first time customer so I had to fill in some blanks). This really helped from a confidence perspective that what was being recommended was real, and I liked that they told me to ignore one of the dealer ones because "it always shows up and isn't necessary". They also suggested the transmission fluids based on the report, but I showed them I'd had it done about 19k miles earlier (receipt in glovebox ftw!) and they updated their records accordingly. All in all, it was $277 and 31 minutes of my Tuesday morning for the oil, engine fluids, and tire rotation. While it was more than I expected to spend, I was due for it and they gave me a discount on each service that helped. Great service and my car has been running great. Highly recommend!

AVOID THIS PLACE!! This place is terrible. First, I called…read moreto check on the service they said $140 to check it and they will apply the $140 toward the service if I opt to get it done. I got there and It is now $150 but the manager (with a beard) said if I didn't get the service he would give me 50% back since it's a simple check. Then I got the estimate of $700. The dealership estimate was $490!! but I figured they HAD to be cheaper??!!? I guess not, damn near twice the price! So I told them hell no I'll be there to pick it up in an hour or so. I got there 3 hours later and the car was still sitting not put back together. So I waited 20 minutes then they said it's the full $150 and they would never say that we give 50% back??!! Also, the part from Honda is $321 they are charging $390 and I'm sure it's not OEM. Then I get to my car and it's missing a cover plate on the door. I told them I needed that part. They go look and nope we don't have it. I said well it was there. The kid who worked on it said it was definitely NOT there. I said I showed the Manager. The MANAGER came out and said are you sure because it was definitely NOT in the car. I said I showed you the screws and the cover plate it was sitting in another cover plate (which was now installed back onto the car). So the kid takes the one cover plate off and guess what? Yep, the cover plate falls on the ground. Everyone laughed except me. I just stared and the manager and the kid and shook my head. What a JOKE of a place. I hope this Manager is some temporary dude because he's a liar who has no idea how to manage a shop. So I ordered the part online for $68 and I should be able to replace it in 90 minutes or so. Oh, also there are 2 dents and 3 marks on the same side of my car now that I know for a fact were not there. I even took a look at a picture I took of my car the day before for an estimate on my door and it's not in the picture. So BEWARE!!! you will be ripped off, have poor workmanship, possibly damage to your vehicle, Pay more than estimated, Bait and switch, Be charged more than a dealership will charge you and most likely wait around for them to finish your car well after they state it will be done. Go somewhere else. Hell, go anywhere else!!!!! If someone from corporate reads this please reach out to me. I would love to tell you even more. I think you need to know this. Wow, worst service I've had in over 30+ years. I'll check back to see your response. I'm not holding my breath. I will also report this location to the BBB.
