From the moment I pull up, they greet me with a smile and offer me a water--it's the little things! You can really tell they love what they do, or at least who they work with. The good vibes are contagious. I'm not sure if Take 5 existed before COVID, but staying in your car while getting an oil change is honestly a game changer. I remember the old days of sitting in a waiting room, but those days are OVER! And if the garages are occupied when I arrive, I never wait more than 10-15 minutes. They're speedy and efficient. They're definitely a solid half-hour or more. And I wouldn't recommend letting them touch any other part of your car. If they get near the tires, they let the air out and set off my tire pressure gauge every time. This time I let them try and change a brake light, which they failed to do. They claimed my old light wasn't burnt out so it not lighting must be a wiring issue. My included picture on this review shows the bulb in question on the right and a new bulb from Autozone on the left. If that's not a burnt out bulb, I don't know what is.

I went in because my brake pedal was completely touching the floor, they told me I only needed and a new brake line and master cylinder - to which I asked them can I please have an entire brake inspection done so that I can know everything that may be an issue. I was told by the brake technician MAX that he would do a full brake inspection. They ended up keeping my car 2 days because they originally ordered the wrong part - which caused me to miss work, and when i got the car back I wasn't even able to get home fully before i noticed the brakes were restricting the car from fully accelerating. When I took the car back I spoke to the brake tech that worked on the car, and to sum it up he confessed that he didn't even do a full brake inspection and never took a look at the brake pads or rotors. I asked him why not he and could not give me an answer, then proceeded to tell me to fix this issue it would be an additional $500. I originally paid over $750 and was out of a car for 2 days which already was a major inconvenience, and jiffy lube did NOTHING to rectify the situation ...

The only thing is didn't like is at the time of check out when it was time to pay I was informed there was a 3% to use credit card instead of debt card. They advised it was because the CC company charges them 6% which I don't doubt but I wish I would have known at the time when I made the appointment so I could have moved some money around and had the funds in the bank account to use debit. It ended up costing me $32 just in CC fees which probably took back whatever money I had thought is was saving... Got down right nasty when questions were asked. 2. Drop car off for flat tire in the morning. No call on status. I had to initiate the call an hour before closing. Then when I arrive I'm told it only needed air. Next day tire pressure light on. I take it back in and after further investigation there was a nail still in the tire. 3. Catalytic converter was stolen as my car was on the lot over night. No "hey I'm sorry about that" or acknowledging that is a big deal. I was told it has happened multiple times in recent months. That didn't put me at ease either. The technician Keyshawn who works at this location has never been helpful and he comes across rude. His go to line is "we were about to call you." In the past year Ive never felt welcomed at this location by Keyshawn or felt that my car has been in good hands. I've been a loyal customer for 5 plus years; however the past year has been much different. I'm not sure what has changed but my trust has been lost in Best One.

I was in the Castleton area tonight, and I decided to stop by this location that is a few months old and sits around the corner from the new 7 Brew (noting that you can not simply go across from one to the other - getting to Take 5 actually mandates taking a different road). I like Take 5, though I do tend to find it a bit pricey. The top oil change is about $100, the next is $83 (this is the one I got). You can get a basic one for $56. While the prices are higher, I will admit the customer service does tend to be stronger and more consistent with Take 5. As I drove in, I was handed a bottle of water and a fun-size Reese's Take 5 bar. It's a fun touch. Rob was the service manager. I wasn't paying good enough attention to catch the names of the other folks. I pulled in at 6pm - about an hour before closing, but they were perfectly hospitable and I was in the bay in a few minutes. One nice touch here is that you can visit anytime between your next due date and get fluids topped off and even air in your tires. They do have online coupons. They did honor a $15 off coupon tonight. The service was speedy. The employees were personable. Recommendations were made, though there was no hard-sell. Overall, this was a solid visit. While I still think it's a bit pricey, there's no denying the stronger customer service and as I drove off there was also no denying the car was running more smoothly. There's a new Take 5 fairly close to my home - I may have to give them a chance, though I won't hesitate to return to this location when I'm in the Castleton area.
