We were in and out for an oil change in no time. They didn't check our tire pressure as we were…read moretold they would. The people under the bays did not like the car next to us and they kept complaining about the car. It was very unprofessional. They also did not offer to reset the car's oil change light. It could have been better but they got the job done. One other thing, it was gross when they insisted on tapping the credit card on their own with their oil gloves on.

I've been struggling with how to rate and review my experience with this location of Valvoline…read more I'll start off by saying that Valvoline is my preferred oil change spot. I'll go out of my way to use Valvoline, though I don't live particularly close to this location. I pulled up to this three-bay location. It was clear that on a warmer than usual day with the sun out that this location was doing a brisk business. While I'm typically greeted upon arrival at Valvoline, on this day I wasn't greeted until it was time for me to pull into the bay. The employees were friendly. Andrea, who is an assistant manager, was clearly engaged and active with everyone. I really like the option of staying in the car. I stated I wanted a Conventional oil change. It's the low-end option, however, my car is older and it more than suffices. I opted for windshield wipers and I had a $10 off coupon. The wait was longer than usual, however, given the brisk business I expected that. It was fine. Once I was in the bay, things went fairly timely. They did seem to have difficulty changing my windshield wipers. Andrea made a point of noting the cuts she'd gotten on her fingers. As I'm a Valvoline regular, the option of e-mailing my receipt was offered and taken. In theory, things went pretty well here. However, I'll admit a couple things bugged me. One, while parking in a bay I heard the assistant manager talking to an employee about going home when he was able. The conversation went that he'd been unable to stay to a time she needed so, essentially, he might as well go ahead and go home. I obviously know nothing about the employee, but I do know that HR conversations shouldn't be had within the listening ears of customers. Even if everything was perfect, it "sounded" rude. The experience also seemed to me a bit overpriced. Maybe it's not. Maybe it's perfectly fine. But, the oil change is typically around $39.99. I paid around $96 total. So, I paid over $50 for windshield wipers? Plus, I had a $10 coupon. Unfortunately, this also leads to the fact that I never received the receipt via e-mail. My e-mail is correct in the system - I regularly get e-mails from Valvoline. So, that's not it. As I'd already had an issue with the swiping of my card, it just makes me a bit nervous to not turn around and get my receipt. I don't know. This definitely wasn't a bad experience. It just didn't rise up to the usual Valvoline experience. To her credit, and it must be noted, Andrea was friendly as was the other employee. However, these little things distracted from the experience. If I could go 3.5 stars, I probably would lean that way. Unfortunately, I can't. In the absence of that option, I'm acknowledging that this wasn't quite a miss, but it was a rare off-day for Valvoline. I'll definitely use Valvoline again, however, I'll likely stick to my more preferred locations.

I went in because my brake pedal was completely touching the floor, they told me I only needed and a new brake line and master cylinder - to which I asked them can I please have an entire brake inspection done so that I can know everything that may be an issue. I was told by the brake technician MAX that he would do a full brake inspection. They ended up keeping my car 2 days because they originally ordered the wrong part - which caused me to miss work, and when i got the car back I wasn't even able to get home fully before i noticed the brakes were restricting the car from fully accelerating. When I took the car back I spoke to the brake tech that worked on the car, and to sum it up he confessed that he didn't even do a full brake inspection and never took a look at the brake pads or rotors. I asked him why not he and could not give me an answer, then proceeded to tell me to fix this issue it would be an additional $500. I originally paid over $750 and was out of a car for 2 days which already was a major inconvenience, and jiffy lube did NOTHING to rectify the situation ...

The dealership outlined repairs costing several thousands of dollars. After paying for an inspection ($10 to $22-ish depending on whether you're a Firestone credit card holder) to determine the car's immediate issues vs. longer term repairs, it was hundreds not thousands. After the inspection I was emailed their findings with an itemized cost estimate. There are additional discounts and special pricing for Firestone credit card holders. Over the years, I've found those deals helpful for tires. My review is specific to this Firestone location. Locally, this the only Firestone I have experienced. I've visited other locations out of town and had good experiences because they can look at my car's repair history. That's another benefit.

Myk is always great to work with, and we've actually established a great relationship (I've got my own nickname and everything). Myk has never tried to upsell me on nonsense repairs for my kids beater cars (even though that's their job, to sell stuff), just getting them fixed and running. I'm sure everyone has a bad experience with someone they do business with, but we trust that if something happens after the fact, they will take care of it and make things right. Trust is a huge thing, and Myk at Firestone has my family's.

I called Goodyear and their price was much lower and they already had the tire in stock. I made an appointment for the next day. They pulled my car back for inspection...checked all my tires and replaced the bad tire. When my car was returned to me, they had everything protected with paper. Although I was expecting to pay one price, when I received the bill it came up about $50 cheaper then I was expecting. Great service and very affordable price. Tried to explain to him what I had seen/literally scheduled an appointment for on the web and he said: "things like this are more complicated than free. We charge $135 for that and you have to leave it over night." Classic example of corporate and local branches not being on the same page. Don't be lured here by "free" offers: even if they were free, dealing with rude staff at the branch and dishonest advertisement by corporate is not worth the savings.
