This used to be the only place I would take my car. I was loyal for years. Unfortunately, they are too busy and understaffed. They lost their good communication skills and friendliness. They also completely misdiagnosed my car so I took it to another shop. My suggestion is to pass as the quality of work is just not there like it used to be. read more

This past Monday morning I had called around to see who could (1st) quote and replace my breaks, rotors, and wheel bearing that day or week. I am a female in my early 20s. My vehicle is a 2017 ram promaster that has been converted. (I was worried due to my age and vehicle that I would be price gouged and taken advantage of) That Monday I called Mufflers and More and they were able to help me THAT morning. 5 minutes after I ended the call, I was there and a technician was getting ready to take my van on a test drive. I received a very fair quote on replacing all 4 breaks and rotors(a price I was happy to pay). By 1pm I was on my way with a safe vehicle. They said that my wheel bearing looked fine( no need replacing) and the underneath looked good. This reassurance was appreciated! Definitely will be taking my vehicle back for anything else! I just had tmi classic truck in for an exhaust work. Tyler went above and beyond my expectations.

I brought them a truck needing new exhaust headers and after 8 weeks I get back my truck with a missing power steering line retainer, oil cap, and oil dipstick, Tyler made a quick effort to try to make things right by calling me soon after! They also welded the headers to exhaust pipe which Tyler offered to fix. I personally wouldn't just wished for more communication on their end, and discussing with me the things they saw unrelated. (I should mention but not the worst thing in the world. I asked ahead for my old parts back called a couple weeks in to remind them and when I went to pick it up they had gotten rid of them) Overall price minus the hiccups was good! read more

Oh, where to begin... I dropped my car off in early June to get the stock exhaust manifold replaced with some aftermarket Doug Thorley headers. I was originally given an estimate of 1-2 days down time. No big deal, this vehicle is not a primary vehicle and mostly just used for road trips. After 3 weeks, I began to question what was going on. I called and spoke to someone and they told me that I had given them the wrong part. After questioning that statement over the phone, I asked them to look at the packing slip to see what was going on - if I had been shipped the wrong part, I would need to deal with the vendor that I purchased the part from because I ordered the headers for my vehicle. They said they would check the packing slip and call me back - they never did. So I drove over to see what was going on in person and sort out the confusion. The owner, Scott, told me that it was not the wrong part but he may have to dent the headers to get them to fit on my vehicle around the steering shaft - give him another week and it will be finished. I agreed. 1 week passes - no call, no finished car (now 4 weeks in). I call and am told that the passenger side header has been installed and they are working on the driver side. For 3 additional weeks, I call routinely and am told differing information - the car will be done in 1-2 more days, the owner is on vacation, the owner is out for the week due to family emergency, they're trying to figure out how to bend or dent the header to fit. Week 6 - I get a call saying my car is finished. YES! I go to pick it up, pay my bill, and they pull a car around. This car was the same make as mine, but it was NOT my car. $40 in Uber wasted. I try calling the next two days to see what is going on and have to call at least 10 times each day for an answer - they are now obviously ignoring my phone calls. I decide to drive out again and check the progress of my car. I see that the passenger side header is not installed as I was told - that side had not even been touched (LIES, LIES, LIES!) and all that has been done is the driver side manifold/catalytic converter has been removed. In addition, they cannot find the exhaust manifold they removed , nor could they find an oxygen sensor that was removed - so I now have to spend more money to purchase the cat and sensor that they have lost. I do not tolerate dishonesty. These people lie, do not return phone calls, and lose parts from your car - or possibly just take parts and use them on another car. I decided to take my car and business elsewhere after being lied to and met with constant incompetence for almost 7 weeks. I have had complete engine and transmission replacements done in less time that 7 weeks! Moral of the story? Unless you enjoy being lied to and waiting a long period of time for work to ultimately never be done, do NOT take anything to this place. read more

I cannot endorse this establishment.  A new muffler was put on.  It sounds as though I have an old "glass pack" muffler.  I left it there overnight to be examined the next morning and was essentially told, "It's just like that."  It is a universal muffler.   I inquired about a "made to fit" muffler and was told, by Mike, that those are no longer made.  He then said one would cost about $500.  I later learned that Midas offers them for the same price as this universal muffler which was about $270. This place is great for straightforward repairs. Their rates are the lowest I've seen in the area. They do not upsell and try to get you to fix things that aren't really needed. Don't expect amazing customer service, because it is just guys who like to work on cars. They don't hire receptionists or have fancy computer systems, so they can charge lower rates. My mom just got an estimate on front brake pads on her 2003 Honda Odyssey van at the dealer for $180. Mufflers and more did it for $90! For complex or hard to diagnose problems, I might take my car to a higher priced mechanic with better diagnostics, but for basic things like brakes and Mufflers, you can't beat this place. read more

When we started going to Mufflers and MOre they were wonderful and did work quickly and to the level we would expect at a great price. However, my last trip there was not positive at all. Car was NOT fixed and I was stranded for over 9 hours in Tennessee. We took the car in for a repair that should have been done to both sides of the engine. However, they only did ONE side so I had a big fat repair bill in Tennessee and got stranded on the interstate in the 100 degree heat for hours. We arrived at our destination but we were really disappointed that we took the car in for the service ahead of leaving for our 1400 mile round trip and they only fixed ONE side instead of both???? The mechanic in TN asked why they didn't check both sides. I said I had absolutely NO idea..... So, we are now searching for a new reliable mechanic in the Noblesville, Carmel, Fishers area. read more

Twice I had to take my car back because problem was not fixed right the first time. And was charged both times for the second repair. On top of that they broke the window and said because it happened while on their lot they would only charge for parts. $200. ( motor on auto window ) And car was returned with a grease covered window. Also, on both visits 3 days had gone by without even a call to say anything about the car. I am very pleased with this place. I needed the front brakes repaired on my truck. I got prices at other places and I also check the price of buying the parts and doing the brakes myself. They did the job right. And the price was half the price of taking to another shop. It was quick even though they were very busy. The only down side I could see to going here is that their lot is full of cars and trucks. Of course that can also be a plus. Could be an indication of how popular they are. I would highly recommend. By the way, they only charged me $72 more than if I bought the parts and did it myself. The other shops I went to really wanted to gouge me on price. read more

Is there a word worse than awful? I went in a few months ago to get my brake pads replaced, and all was well. Up until Saturday evening, when I started noticing a noise in my brakes that kinda sounded like I had cement trapped in there. I took my car up to Hare and had them inspect it, only to find that the wonderful men of Mufflers and More had put the brake pads on backwards, added way too much lube and burned out my brakes. Before that, when I went in for a simple AC repair, I left with carbon monoxide leaking through my vents. Which I assumed was a simple mistake. If you value your time, money, and your car; I advise you not to waste it here. read more
