Long before the Turnpike became a way for the state to extract money from travelers to pay for continuous "improvements" and to fund other non-Turnpike related agencies and items, it was a super highway allowing fast, safe travel across the commonwealth. The Midway plazas were unique because they were across from one another and there's a tunnel that runs under the road that joins them; this tunnel has long been closed to the public. Anyway, if you have time, it's fun to look at the pictures that adorn this plaza and also to check out the items in the gigantic display case that celebrate the creation and history of this road.

After over $3000 later, and a week staying in a hotel, the engine is leaking coolant again. When my wife contacted the service manager Jordan, he was rude and would not take responsibility for fixing the issue. He said to bring it to a Chevrolet dealership where we live at in Michigan, and they would fix it for free. This was absolutely not true. The entire service department was rude and just wanted to make money. I would highly recommend avoiding this place for any kind of service on your vehicle.

The appointment was made almost 1 week in advance. I showed up on the day of the appointment at 7:15 A.M. (they open at 6:30 A.M.). After I reviewed what was to be done for my vehicle, I was told that they would give me a call. I waited (wasted!), all day waiting for that call! They close at 5 P.M. I gave them until 5:10 P.M. and called back. When I called back, I got a recorded message that they were closed!!! I drove there, tried the locked door, saw someone was still inside and I knocked. The guy who said he would call answered the door. At first he did not seem to recognize me. Then he started to apologize with the feeble excuse of how busy they were that day. (How is that my problem?) He said that the tires did not come in. Was the vehicle inspected I asked? No, nothing was done to it and it was parked out on the street! He offered me a "loaner." What, will you be loaning me my own, perfectly working vehicle? I drove my vehicle home and I will never return. What type of way is that to treat a customer and to run a business? I live in Michigan so rather than wait 2 weeks to have the engine replaced I traded it in for a new truck. I needed to have the new truck set up for a 5th wheel hitch. The dealer that I bought the truck recommended east coast rv to have it installed. I told them over the phone what I had and what I needed and the said they would get the parts and install it the next day. the next day i dropped it off and they installed it. I was expecting the same type of setup I had in my old truck. They put something in totally different and a lot more expensive. It raised my hitch about 3" higher and now my camper does not ride level. I believe they took advantage of my situation too get as much money as they could from me. I do not recommend them because They seem to make profit a priority over customer satisfaction.

Gas is competitively priced, but is still a high price relative to where I live. There is so much traffic through Breezewood! So many people visit Sheetz and you can barely get a gas pump there, so I like to avoid the crowd and stop at Sac's. No waiting for a gas pump here and the gas prices are usually the same.
