I requested the 59 (no toll) bridge from 71st and Broadway and promised a better tip and it was no problem. Only issue was driver was nice but a little crazy. Cut people off, aggressive etc. if that's ok with you, then take these guys, it's great. read more

I've since used their service again, this time to go from midtown to New Jersey. I figured that if a car service with an overall 4.5 stars was so shoddy, I wouldn't take a chance with any other companies rated even lower. The fare was 50+toll+tip to Englewood Cliffs, NJ, which totaled $60 (no tolls going there). It was only a 20 min ride, but I guess riding a yellow cab would have been the same amount of money. It's really kind of outrageous for such a short distance, but I'm well-aware that most companies will charge the same going across the GWB. My driver was professional, and the car, while old, was not dirty or smelly. At this point I'm 50/50, so I took a chance and made another reservation for a ride to LGA tomorrow afternoon. Still have my fingers crossed to NOT get that frightening van, or anything of the sort. My go to car service whenever I have a super early flight for work. I've used their services several times now, and they're always very reliable and punctual! From downtown NYC to JFK/LGA, it's $30 plus tip. They only accept cash (and can provide a cash receipt), so be prepared. Rides to Newark are more hefty as expected - around $58 with toll included. Cars are always clean and comfortable, and they'll call you when they're outside. Simple as that! read more

Thanks to my fellow Yelpers, I booked this services for some precious cargo: my wife and daughter. A call one-day ahead produced the desired affect. The driver arrived 15 minutes early for the trip to Newark from the UWS and they called me (at my Toronto to announce it). I did give them my wife's numbers, but I guess they only call back the number they received the call from. Not that cheap really: $45 +$12 toll + tip. All in cash. No issues with the dispatcher. Understood her clearly despite what others have said. Coming from Toronto, I thought we had crazy tolls on the 407 until I cross the George Washington Bridge myself a week earlier! My wife and I chose Quick Ride on our way back from JFK after a terrible experience with GoGreenRide on our outbound trip which routed a driver to our apartment in Queens from Westchester (???) and would've probably caused us to miss our flight had we not canceled and grabbed an Uber instead. Anyway, our experience with QR was super smooth. The operator was easily reachable, communicative, and helpful. Our car arrived on time and our driver was very efficient. This car service is the best! We used it on Labor Day and were thrilled with the promptness with which the driver arrived (5 mins after we called). The price was very reasonable, and when we accidentally left a few personal items in the car, the driver tried to return them to us the same night, and afterwards kept the items at the office where I retrieved them today! I needed a ride for my family of 5 during rush hour from JFK to Manhattan. I was a little uneasy since I was use to scheduling things online rather than over the phone. I called a day before we needed service without a problem. Our driver was prompt, and courteous and the mini van was in great condition. The driver was mostly quiet but did answered any of our questions. Prices were reasonable and cheaper than other services like Uber. They did require cash which was completely fine just as long as I was aware. I will absolutely use Quick Ride Corp again. read more

I rode two times on July 30th, 2011. My original flight to JFK was cancelled, so I called them and gave them the new flight information. Upon landing, they asked me to go to a certain passenger pickup area. My wait time was just 5 minutes. The vehicle condition is the only reason I give it four instead of five stars. It was a minivan that had been used noticeably quite heavily. On the ride back to the airport, it was a black town car that had also been noticeably used heavily. The bad - The woman taking reservations is difficult to understand, but I am quite certain she told me the ride would cost $35 to JFK airport. I verified the price a second time the day of my flight because I am wary of car services I have not used before and it was still $35. Driver arrives and he says it is $45. When I call to verify with Quick Ride, the price changed to $45. She tried to say its $35 to La Guardia but I am positive I repeated 'JFK' earlier. I ordered a car service for a late night pickup from JFK for my GF. They quoted me a dirt cheap rate, and the car showed up right on time, but my GF was stuck with luggage issues and couldn't make it out. The dispatcher actually tried to help by offering to call her and give her advice on where to fill out forms in the airport; I didn't expect that kind of help. Ultimately, we weren't able to take the ride and they gave us no grief and was entirely friendly. I've used Quick Ride for years, as they provided cheap, reliable service to major airports. However, most recently, I was swindled by them on a weekend morning trip to Newark International Airport from Battery Park. Not only was the car not a licensed TLC vehicle, the driver did not display his TLC license. As we pulled into our departure terminal, the driver turned around and said, "You know, the tolls have gone up. Toll will be $19." $19?! You've got to be kidding me. Long story short, I paid upwards of $70 (including tip) to a driver who felt entitled in an unlicensed vehicle. An UberX from Manhattan to EWR is $65 flat - tip, toll, surcharges included. And given their rating system, your driver won't really feel entitled. Great to JFK. Not so great to EWR. Cash only, and you'll have to excuse the dispatchers. read more

I have been using this company for four years now and they've always been incredibly consistent. Even when my flight has been delayed or I'm waiting extra long for baggage, I just call the dispatch number and they are really understanding. They are also the cheapest option to get in and out of NYC airports (except for the subway). I was also initially a little weirded out about it being cash only and was skeptical that a phone call placed was all I needed to confirm my reservation (esp in this day in age of everything being confirmed with a million electronic messages), but they are really reliable and efficient. Roughly the same cost as taking a taxi, but the ride was much more comfortable. Compared to the cab, the car was newer, cleaner, and in much better shape. It was a larger group, so we needed a minivan, which also cost a tad bit more, but we got to the airport in good time. They met us exactly at the scheduled time. I called at pick up time because no one called me as they said they would. I was told car will be here in 3-4 minutes. I called after 5 she said he was there. Not true, I live on a short block you can't miss any car. After waiting 15 minutes past my appointment I got in a taxi because I didn't want to miss my flight. I called from the taxi and the woman could barely care. First she lied to my face that he was there. Then she started back tracking and then she didn't have the decency to apologize. I have mixed feelings about Quick Ride. PROS: It's still fairly inexpensive when you consider how much typical car services cost. For the most part, they're always on time too. But lately, I've found their drivers to be problematic. I typically recommend Quick Ride to visiting relatives and these are some incidents that have occurred in the last 2 months: 1. My sister's driver kept swerving in and out of lanes to maneuver around morning traffic. He kept on flying down exit lanes and forcing his way back onto the highway. Annoyed, another car tapped the driver's bumper and both men got out of the car to exchange words. The other driver was clearly more intimidating so my sister's driver got back into the car and got back to driving. 2. I booked a car to pick up my family from their hotel and the driver was an hour and 15 minutes late. I called the company 3 times throughout the hour for an ETA and was always told "5 minutes". Eventually the hotel called another car service after an hour passed. Both cars arrived at the same time fifteen minutes later. 3. A driver kept nodding off at red lights whilst driving my family back to their hotel. My family was slightly terrified he'd crash so they kept pestering the driver with questions so that he'd stay alert. I probably will still use Quick Ride but definitely now with some hesitation. After speaking to one of the drivers, he said most people typically have 12-hour shifts so I understand you're going to probably have a completely exhausted and irritable driver sometimes. But it's still terrifying. Heads up: For 5+ people, you'll need a minivan which is $15 extra. If you have 4 people, I wouldn't even mention it to the dispatcher. One lady told me that I'd need to pay the extra, $15 but a male dispatcher told me the next day that a regular car would be fine. read more

Honestly one of the most reliable car ride services I have ever used!!! They are a small, Chinatown based operation. Call for a car in advanced, or last minute, and they will send you one if available in 10-15 minutes. My favorite part is how clean and comfy the cars are, and the drivers are not rude. They are always on time, in fact, they will be there 10 minutes before scheduled, even if it is at 5am in the morning! Great service and a great rides to the airport--use them! read more

I have used them several times over the last 5 years to get to JFK, LaGuardia or Newark International. They always show up on time; you get a phone call when they are a couple of minutes away and they tell you the car's number (it's basically always a black town car); cars are clean and sometimes they provide bottled water; plus they are SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive than Lyft. Just remember it's cash only. They will tell you the amount when you call to book a ride so you can have the cash ready. read more

Found Quick Ride on Yelp looking for a ride company that would pick up my 90-year-old dad and take him to the airport. (He certainly could not handle Lyft or Uber). They were lovely and extremely respectful and nice to my dad helping him on his arrival. REMEMBER TO BRING CASH-- no credit cards. i first called quick ride to go to ikea in brooklyn - they quoted me 16$ they got to my apt on time and they called me - i accidently left my nars blush in the cab- called them and told them to kept it for me and the driver even brought it to me the next time i used them! since then, i've been using them all the time- since it would cost me as much as taxi fare -why would i have to waiting for a cab that might take 25 mins to get one then?! here's the few rules you need to know..(this rules are applied to all car services out there that i've been using so far,too) -if you need to go somewhere a little far like.. say, airport -must call to schedule ahead of time- and make sure with the date and call to confirm day before or night before. make sure you get the quote price before you hang up! -if you want to go somewhere local- you don't need to call ahead of time.. just call 5 minute before you need a ride -sometimes they won't have a car right then,they will let you know and you can either try call other company or give them a call back in 10 more minutes.. i usually call them 5 mins before im about to head out and they will call me when the car is outside! cost me almost the same as cab fare.. but definitely, better the dispatcher here are really nice compare to others.. so far, i've been frequently call them more often than other places. - read more

I used Quick Ride Corp after reading the reviews on Yelp and I must say the reviews are all right! This is one of the better car services in the NYC area. I had called prior to boarding my plane and gave them my flight information so they were able to track when I was going to land. Once I landed at JFK they called and said they were waiting for me at the correct terminal with a Quick Ride Corp sign (which made things a lot easier to find!) From JFK to the LES was only $40 which is cheaper then Uber or Taxi! I will definitely be using them again! read more

Dispatcher was so rude that my 50+ times using this service has dropped from a 4 to a 2 star experience. Having used this service so many times I know the drill. I call when I land, they ask if I have my luggage already, and tell me to go to passenger pick up A to wait for my car. This dispatcher was different. First off, she asked me what terminal I was at even though I confirmed I was flying United. She told me to call her back once I knew. I told her I've never had to do that. She basically was like too bad figure it out and call back. Fine, I called her back and told her I was at Terminal 7 (if your job is to run a car service business you should know that United at JFK is only at terminal 7). She gives me more attitude and asks me which pick up area I was at. At this point I'm fed up and tell her they always tell me to go to pick up A (used to be B but they changed it last year). She explains she needs to tell the driver...blahblahblah. As a dispatcher you need to know your airport, extract minimal information from your client, and tell them exactly where they need to go. I was fed up with her attitude and all the back and forth so ended up cabbing instead. In fact I'm still in the cab on my way to manhattan! I might use this service still when heading to the airport, but not for airport pick ups. Too much of a headache. Over the last 2 years, there's been a few times they were 10-15 min late for airport pickups. Also, one time I called 6 hours beforehand for airport pickup and they told me no cars left and just hung up. So all in all, drivers are fantastic, cars are clean and prices are cheap. Used this service twice while in NYC - to and from JFK. Skeptical at first based on some of the reviews mentioning no-show and no-call, however, all drivers were on-time, clearly marked with ID, and very efficient. The dispatcher is very organized and recognized our reservations by phone number alone, albeit being quite hurried and frank while managing her drivers. The cars used were VERY clean, 2014 Prius and a 2014 Highlander. Drivers used rough english but were friendly, courteous, and not overly talkative. The ride was on-time, not rushed, and quite considerate of our needs and safety. Our 2yo daughter unfortunately threw up on the ride to the hotel but the driver had no complaints and was very understanding. Traffic getting through Times Square was impossible, but the driver diligently and patiently took the most efficient route to get us to the front door of our hotel. Reliable, QUICK car service! Called a couple of days before arriving at JFK, and the woman quickly took info about area/destination of hotel (Theater District for me), which airline, flight number and date of arrival. She quoted a cash-only $45 plus toll ($7) and said to call when we arrived at JFK. Upon arrival, we called and were told to look for a driver #118 in a black minivan (vehicles are unmarked; you need to look for the driver waving his sign). You then give the driver the address of your hotel. It's helpful to write down this address to show the driver--we were going back and forth a bit because he couldn't quite understand due to the language barrier, but after seeing my chicken-scratch written address, nodded his head. I know several other fellow Yelpers were a little bothered by the hard-to-understand Chinese accent and the unsettling feeling of not having a confirmation number. But if you've ever called to order Chinese takeout, you know it's simple and uncomplicated. You simply state your order, and tell them when you'll come to pick it up. Called 2 days before the departure flight; same woman answered the phone and stated that they'd call me when the driver arrived at our hotel. We requested a 7:15 pickup for 10:00 departure flight. They called at 7:00 and we were on our way ahead of schedule! This time the driver (#23) was a little more friendly and talkative and we even learned that they're able to quickly go through the toll by using a scanner-type device stuck on the windshield by the rear-view mirror. Couldn't ask for anything more--I'll definitely use them again if I ever set foot in the Big Apple again! read more
