We just had Quickel Paving repave our complex in Park Tustin. They did an absolutely terrible job. The roads are bumpy, some people thought they had a flat tire, several areas look like patchwork, other areas look just plain dirty. Not a smooth new nice blacktop look all. Our association of Sherwood Village in Anaheim hired Quickel to repave our community. The work was divided into 6 zones. We are very early in the project, with one of the zones being rained out. The weather was something no one expected in the month of May. But on 2 of the first 3 zones Quickel worked on, they damaged the waterlines causing community-wide water outages that lasted about 8+ hours each occurrence. Due to them hitting the water lines, the pavement laying in those areas was delayed. In my zone, the delay lasted through the weekend, and currently about half of my zone does not yet have pavement. This was work that was to be completed & painted by noon on Friday, May 12, 2023. With their record of hitting water lines I could not recommend Quickel Paving for any community. Time will tell if they hit water lines in the other zones of our complex, but to do the same mistake twice in two days is not a good precedent. The paving they did complete does look nice. The negatives are the damage they caused to the waterlines, the delay it caused the project, and that Quickel did not have staff working on the weekend to complete the work that was supposed to be completed by noon on May 12. I realize that they probably didn't want to pay overtime, but this delay was not weather related, it was the negligence of the Quickel staff, and they should have had their staff working the weekend to catch-up for the delay they caused. I'm hoping Sherwood Village will receive a significant discount from the bid amount due to the massive inconvenience of the water outages and delays they (Quickel) caused. Anyone residing in an HOA should ensure that their Board Members have looked into the bidders consumer reviews in sites like Yelp and Google PRIOR to entering into any agreements/contracts. Often times a Management Company will recommend entities that are very shady or incompetent. Update: Tuesday - May 16, 2023 the zone that was supposed to be completed on 5/12/23 is still just bare dirt. I received a mass email from The Management Trust (our property manager) today that Quickel has informed them that the work will be completed by 5:00 P.M. on Friday, May 19, 2023. This means around 30 homes will be without garage access for 10 days. The dumpster in that area is overfilled and will not be able to be emptied during this timeframe. Update 5/18/23 - We are being told by Management Trust that the entrance will be loose dirt (almost need 4x to traverse) until at least May 25th. The 30+ homes have still been out of their garages, and today it appears that Quickel struck again, as there is another water outage. It seems that they are surprised that water lines are located underground. No telling how much longer this project will be delayed now. Anyone else in Sherwood Village Anaheim, please leave your own review of this paving company here and on Google. Update 5/24/23 - Quickel Paving hit yet another water line causing a community-wide water outage that lasted most of the day. This is the 4th time they have done this. There are only 6 zones in this project. Quickel Paving has hit waterlines causing massive water outages in 4 of the 6 zones, and they have not yet completed the project that was to be completed by 5/19/23. The last estimated date of completion was June 5th, but that was before they damaged the water line yesterday which may delay the project even further. We still have just a dirt roadway into our complex that has been dirt since May 17th when they took out the pavement but didn't repave. read more

Quickel Paving was hired by our HOA to patch several driveways in our neighborhood. You can see where they went with their vehicles, because they leaked oil (not patch material) up and down each driveway. Their vehicles leaked oil on the sidewalks, and dripped oil down the street. You can follow the drips from driveway to driveway around the block. The HOA's lazy butts aren't doing anything about it, just ignoring, and so is Quickel. I do not recommend this company, they are unprofessional, and have made my driveway and street look junky with oil stains. No, the hydraulic fluid you company left is oil. Hydraulic fluid is an oil (show how much you know) and was not left by the trash company because I watched your workers leak oil as the went up and down the driveway. Nice try, but try again. read more

I'm still puzzled. What is the point of this sealcoating and curb painting exercise? Power washing was good, but what happened after that? Sealcoating job is terrible, uneven with unsealed cracks. They threw a road reflector in the middle of the street, not even attached to the pavement. They painted over some plants (see pictures attached). What is going on? This is just not right. read more

They are paving my complex! Notified us when areas will be completed by putting notifications on our front doors, cones in front of assigned parking spaces and garages. I had a question because I didn't know if my area was Day 1 and 2 or Day 3 and 4. I left a message with the person in charge but I received no call back. Day 1 of paving came and went even though everybody moved their cars but it rained that day so they didn't come. Day 2 arrived and still people moved their cars and they didn't come. By now I am totally confused because are they going to pave the area they were supposed to complete day 1 and 2 on day 3 or follow the notice provided. Valid question, right?!?! They arrive loudly way before 7am on day 3. Thank goodness they woke me up. I walk down and ask (adding an expletive or two which I regret) where they are paving. Someone responds; " I don't need to answer that question because of your attitude and you were notified when and where." I moved my car but if I left it in my garage; I would have not been able to drive to work and I doubt they would have refunded my Lyft. Thank goodness others were able to move their cars but I know I wasn't the only one confused and moving their cars while they were setting up barricades. Extremely poor communication. All they needed to do is contact our HOA with the updates and they would have sent a mass text letting us know the changes. Problem solved! read more

Most disrespectful group of people ive ever met. They paved my neighborhood a few months back, and keep returning to fix something they messed up on. One of their workers came close to hitting me head on driving down the street. Then when they blocked my garage to fix another mistake(they made plenty) i talked to the supervisor (only english speaking person) and he said theyll be a minute and theyre careful. If a minute means 45 minutes and careful means almost backing a steam roller into my truck, then he was right on the money. this paving company is a joke, They are contracted to complete the paving in our apartment complex, after spending 2 weeks blocking our entire parking lot, they only worked for 2 days out of those two weeks. the first day they destroyed it. then the second they paved only 3 sections, right in front of our trash cans. Then 5 days go by, the cones in all of our parking spots and all the neighbors parking out on the street. My own neighbors came in and moved their cones out of their parking spots because they hadn't returned to remove the cones in 5 days. they posted a date on the cones with a piece of handwritten paper saying 11/9-11/16. Guess what? on the 16th they never showed up to remove the cones and that's why my neighbors did it for them. Now get this, they are back here 11/19 and they are now blocking cars in and fixing some mistakes they made the first time...so there is neighbor after neighbor walking up to them asking what the hell they are doing here considering they gave us NO warning they would be back the 19th to block us in again. The workers are disrespectful, their work is mediocre, and clearly they absolutely suck at planning and warning people of their destructive and invasive work. read more
