    Taro milk tea

Great hidden establishment in Chinatown. Customer service was great and they had our order ready in a reasonable amount of time. The food is made to order and was fresh. It did not taste as it's been sitting under a heater for hours. I really appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant. I will be coming back when I'm need of a cold drink.

    1. The smoothie was delicious with a good blend! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! 3. There were a few indoor tables! 4. The staff were friendly and timely with my order! 5. Parking lot is small! Note: There is a 50 cents charge for each credit card transactions less than $20! Photo: Strawberry Banana Smoothie

The milk tea here leans way more on the sweet/artificial side, but it's a nostalgic boba spot for me. A nice refresher if you need a sweet drink while exploring Chinatown. More affordable than other boba spots.

Haven't been to quickly in a few years, it's gotten smaller in store size. Still a nice ambiance, calm atmosphere, stereo sound could get some fixing, otherwise nice place to grab a quick refreshing drink! Popcorn chicken was yummy 7.5/10 boba 9/10 the barista was friendly and handled my food with care.

Wanted the classic boba and popcorn chicken combo and was fortunate to have found Quickly. This place is not only affordable but so delicious. Had a taro milk tea with grass jelly at 25% sweetness. It was just right. The showstopper was the spicy popcorn chicken. Spicy was optional. They give your a good amount to the point it made my partner and I full. The chicken was juicy with that perfect Taiwanese seasoning.

I like to pass by this boba place during my day off from college. The service was great and friendly cashier. My favorite drink is strawberry banana smoothie and I like their foods as a snack appetizer, especially I like their squid balls.. While I'm there they had a outlets to plug to charge your phone or ur devices.. I will always pass by this boba place.

A boba and cheap eats hidden gem in Chinatown! Walking in, I found the interior to be very mom and pop like which is a good sign. I got the house milk tea w/ boba and it was solid, but my dad got the avocado smoothie and it was very good! It was made with fresh avocados, was smooth and not icy, and not too sweet. It reminded me of one of my childhood favorites, cold avocados mashed with condensed milk and it tasted like that, but a smoothie version. The boba was also so cheap, $3.65 for a small milk tea like you don't see prices like that for boba nowadays! I also wanna try their food one day which looks good and cheap.

After an hour stroll along the few blocks of this beloved Los Angeles Chinatown, it was only right to get something to quench the thirst. I didn't find any place interesting enough for it, so I decided to walk back to my car and just settle it with the bottle water I already had in there. I parked at the Cathay Bank lot. It's a good thing I turned my head on my walk back because that is how I found this place. They do offer snacks, not just drinks, which explains why I was immediately hit by the smell of fried food soon as I walked in. It was pretty strong, I'll admit, so if it's like this all the time, they might consider upgrading those vents! I'm on a wintermelon tea phase, so I was glad to find that on their selection. Got a large and boba to go with it as well. Although I knew it wouldn't take long, I stepped out for a few seconds because, as mentioned earlier, that fried food smell was becoming borderline overwhelming. Got my drink and started my trek back to the car. It really was refreshing, but I felt it was missing a bit of an umph. The general flavor was there, but it felt it could have used a bit more of whatever mix they use. It almost felt a little watered down. The boba was a perfect chew, though, so they got that right. FOOD: (uhm... drink!) 3.5. SERVICE: 4. Friendly staff. VALUE: 3. Fair and as expected. PARKING: Metered parking and plenty of private lots for $5 for the day. Wasn't an issue when I came through on a Saturday afternoon. OVERALL: 3.5. But I'm gonna keep them in my radar should I find myself around here again. (Honestly, I didn't really see a lot of places like this - then again, I didn't really look - but still... good enough.) Might just try one of their grub to go with a drink next time...

Brings back memories of getting popcorn chicken and boba milk tea after getting off school. Love how they are still so affordable too! Their drinks are all mostly under $5 like milk tea, smoothies, slushy n more. My favorite bento box was the Taiwanese sausage rice and it even comes with free drink! If you're looking for a quick fix on popcorn chicken and milk tea then this place. They are having promotion on $1 watermelon juice too!

Quickly offers tasty and affordable bento boxes, especially the fried fish fillet with minced meat sauce, boiled egg, broccoli, and rice--an amazing deal! The fried dumplings are delicious, and the milk tea is refreshing. Great value with generous portions!

We tried some from the menu and were pleased by all of them. They might look small but very filling actually since all the bowls were filled to top. The Dan Dan noodles have flavorful peanut sauce with it perfect noodles texture. Would recommend add extra sides for proteins, which we opted for pork belly and minced pork. The belly was extremely tender with thick juicy slices. The minced pork was equally palatable. They're generous in portion for being sides, we even packed some home. We obviously didn't skip their Hakka Mochi for dessert, which were still warm chewy yet moist when served and covered in overflowing black sesame and peanut powder. I wasn't usually a fan of black sesame but decided to give this one a try anyway and ending up no regrets at all! The powder was such spoiling mix of sweet and salty in one bite.

You order at the counter before finding a table, which made everything feel efficient and relaxed. We ordered the pork belly bun, Taiwanese popcorn chicken, pan-fried pork buns, beef noodle soup, and Hakka mochi. The MVP of the meal was undoubtedly the Taiwanese popcorn chicken. It was honestly better than many versions I've had in Taiwan, and I've had plenty. The chicken was crispy and crunchy without being greasy, and the meat stayed juicy rather than drying out. If you come here, order this. The pork belly bun was my personal favorite. The braised pork belly practically melted in my mouth, and everything was seasoned beautifully. Simple, balanced, and incredibly satisfying. The pan-fried pork buns were the only disappointment. The filling felt underseasoned, and the bottoms lacked the crispy crust I was hoping for. They were fine, but not something I would order again. The beef noodle soup was solid. The broth was excellent, with a depth of flavor and spice profile that I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, the beef shank was overcooked and a bit too dry (乾) for my liking. For dessert, we had the Hakka mochi. It was served warm, pleasantly chewy, and not overly sweet. It was a nice way to end the meal and made me curious to try some of their other desserts next time. This was overall a fantastic meal. Not every dish was perfect, but the highlights were memorable enough that I'll gladly return. The popcorn chicken alone is worth the visit.

The food came pretty quickly and arrived before our drinks, in fact. The cucumber salad was fresh, and the cucumbers had a nice crunch. I liked the flavor of the chicken, but I thought it a bit on the dry side. The dan dan noodles and pork buns were excellent, however. The noodles were flavorful and had an enjoyable chew. The pork buns were tasty as well and filled with juicy meat. I also really liked the soy milk. It wasn't too sweet, and it had a nice thickness. The staff was friendly. Went early to see if anything opened or if walk-in would be faster, surprisingly they actually had something come available sooner. We opted to sit inside and loved the ambiance. Food - amazing! I read reviews first and watched a couple IG videos so I knew a general idea of what we wanted to order. Glad the server suggested the orange chicken over the walnut shrimp when we were debating it. Chil wontons, absolutely a must get, different from DTF, not crazy spicy but full of flavor and richness. XO fatty noodles, perfect chewiness on the rolled noodles and the flavors were well balanced, we enjoyed them with a little chili paste and the orange chicken as the protein. Orange chicken, soooo much more flavorful than your average Panda Express orange chicken, good sized nuggets of chicken that were crispy and tender at the same time, and the zest livened it up. BBQ pork shank, our server did warn us it's not the easiest to eat, but it's worth it, hard to see cutting it off the bone because it was so dimly lite in the restaurant and your hands will get sticky but once you get chunks off the bone and your bao bun built it's delicious especially when you get the lacquered crispy skin yummm! Only skip for the night was the mango sticky rice. Much rather would've spend $8 on something else. The mango was tart/sour. The sticky rice was too wet and mushy. It was a pass for both of us. Service - our server was awesome. From greeting to end, he was the right amount of attentive and was super helpful with suggestions. Decor is minimal but I liked the ambiance. The bathroom is a little darker than expected though. haha As for the food, we did the tasting menu and I really enjoyed the variety of proteins with the fish, duck, quail, and more. The first entrees were really refreshing and I enjoy that the menu changes seasonally so they really cater to using the freshest and in season ingredients. Loved the fois gras/milk roll and the desserts the most but I thought the tasting menu was creative with presentation and how you are supposed to eat it. They even have some additions you can order with your meal ahead of time so they can plan in between the standard items. We didn't try them this time around but I am curious to come back during another season to see the menu they present. Waiters were always quick to refill glasses, offer wine recommendations, and clean up. We didn't try the cocktails this time around but they looked really interesting and even have a pairing you can order with your tasting. It was a but busy when we got there but luckily we got seared pretty shortly after arrival. We originally wanted to sit at the bar, but opted for a table for less wait time. When first looking at the menu we were shocked by the prices. I knew immediately i wanted to get the hui tou potstikers with pork and noodles. We ended up adding on the hongkong style wontons too. To my suprise the wontons arrived in a delicious and warm broth, keeping them perfectly moist and plump. The broth was so delicious even on a hot day, tasting faintly of sesame and scallion. Despite both dishes being pork they were so different and equally amazing in flavor. The pan fried potstikers which were CRISPED TO PERFECTION especially reminded me of black bean shortribs that you get from dimsum, fatty but hearty and had me wanting more and more each bite. The minced pork noodles were to no suprise, so good. Noodles tasted fresh, the sauce was umami with mushrooms and pork. While im not the biggest fan of mushrooms, i still ate it up. I feel it would be so good with some picked cabbage too to complement the saltiness. Most notable thing... THAT CHILI OIL. We probably used almost half the jar left at the table. It wasnt spicy at all, but it had this flavor that i genuinely have never tasted before. The texture of the chilli and sesame and the nutty flavor had me in awe. Enough to take two jars home... i would do it again. Servers were so quick, made sure everything we needed was at the table. Regardless of the crowd we were met with promptness and generosity. This that wonton place your girl tells you not to worry about forreal. Will be coming back despite the long drive from home.

I started with the house made chili oil dumplings and they were unreal. The dumplings were perfectly cooked and the chili oil with black vinegar was so good I ended up using it on everything. The staff was incredibly kind and happily gave me extra sauce when I asked. The spicy beef noodle soup was the standout. The beef was insanely tender and the broth was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat. The noodles had great texture and held up well in the soup. I also tried the Chengdu zajiang noodle and loved it. The sauce had that numbing spice and deep flavor, and the egg on top made it even better. Every bite felt intentional and well executed. The pickled cucumbers deserve their own mention. Crunchy, tangy, and full of flavor, easily some of the best I have had, even better than Din Tai Fung. On top of all that, they offer great deals after 3pm with discounted noodles and half off beer. MIAN is easily one of the best noodle spots around and I would come back without hesitation.

This place definitely smacks; I'm always getting me some beef noodles with L1 (a littleeee spice) and M1 (a little numbing oil) and it's perfect for my dainty tastebuds. The service is usually pretty quick, but they do a lottt of meal-making during happy hour (3-6) so it's arguably a little slower then. The ambiance is pretty spare, with some placemats that explain mung bean soup and some lower-key Chinese decor throughout. It's a simple place, but it really does get the job done. I'll be back!
