Came here on a Monday afternoon, pulled up and there was a sign saying they would return at 2:15, it was 2:10 when I arrived and at 2:15 the guy returned. He said it would just be a few mins and sure enough 5-8 mins later he told me everything was good and my truck passed. I have a 2000 beetle that took 4 tries to pass smog. Each time it would fail my roommate would take it home and fiddle around with a new hose or something to do with emissions and then we could take it back. Each time the guy at the smog place - Daniel - was so friendly and nice and finally today it passed smog and we can register it!!! Yaaaaaaaay! Go online to their site to get a coupon for $30 smog. I just presented the coupon on my phone and they honored it. This place is popular so expect to wait up to 20 minutes. Took my car in for a smog after I had repairs done on it. I failed my smog check and Daniel advised me to put at least 200 miles on it before I return for another smog because I just got done repairing my car. He didn't charge me for the failed smog check. Quick smog check. I came to this location because I found a $21.75 smog coupon, which turned out to be too good to be true. The coupon only applies to small, 1.8L engine cars, which I do not own, unfortunately. Regular price is $35. Also, I've never been to a smog test that took more than 15 minutes anywhere, this place isn't that unique in that aspect. read more

I highly recommend getting your smog test done at Quicky Smog of Glendora. It is located in the same lot as the express car wash on Route 66. When I arrived there was one gentleman getting his car smog and two more ahead of me. That being said, my total wait time was no more than thirty minutes. Once my car was pulled into the garage it took about 10 minutes or less for the check itself. I printed out a coupon from their website for $21.95 plus $8.00 for the certificate number, and then there was an additional $5.00 fee for an electronic transfer. My total was $35.00, which I still found to be very reasonable compared to most other smog stations in the area. If you check-in you get a free express car wash too! The employee working was extremely friendly and kind as well. I'll certainly be back for future smog tests. read more

Will never return. I was half a mile down the street at a different smog station when I was told that I needed to go to a STAR test station. Checked my handy yelp app on my phone, saw this place had high ratings AND a sweet check-in deal (~$17 for a smog test and car wash), and decided to head over without reading the reviews--a move I'd kick myself for within minutes. The worker stood beside me, instructing me to scroll up and down and back up their yelp business page on my phone, saying that I was missing the fine print about the offer. When he finally saw there was none, he got the owner on the phone, who told the worker to tell me I had to check in and try to redeem the offer before any restrictions would appear. Uncool. The worker offered to put me on the phone with the owner, but the boss apparently did not want to talk to me. In the end, they offered me the same price I would have paid had I gone elsewhere (their regular prices are higher than I would consider paying). So, pressed for time and in need of returning to work ASAP, I took the offer. Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of the day's unpleasant surprises. After about 15-20 minutes, the worker informed me that my car had failed a test, and I would need to buy a $15 replacement part from them. I told him that I wanted to shop around, took out my phone, and let him know that I was looking at the website of a car parts store a block away. As I was scrolling through the store's inventory listings online, the worker re-ran the test with a different adapter and my car passed. I'd like to think the first failed test was a fluke, but, honestly, after the issue with the check-in offer, I found myself unable to trust this place. I paid in cash, merely glanced at the change the worker returned to me, got in my car, and was pulling away when I thought, "Wait, did he give me $5 I'm not supposed to have?" Yep, he did. I just saw this place listed on Groupon, so I figured I'd write a review about my recent experience here because it was THE biggest smog check nightmare I've EVER had the displeasure of experiencing. In the fall, my car was due for a smog check. Found this place nearby and decided to drop in-- around 3 PM on a weekday afternoon. First, I found the place and no one was there. I asked someone at the car wash station next door if they knew where the smog check guy was, and one of the workers bemusedly replied, "Oh? He's not there? Let me check..." And walked me back to the smog check garage. He peeked in, nodded, and said, "No, he's there!" And walked away. I looked again... and the man was SLEEPING (!!!!!!) on a lounger chair. I should have left right there and then! I made a lot of noise to wake him up, and once he was up, I told him I wanted a smog check. He took the car in, I wasted some time nearby, and came back when he said it would be done. He told me that there was a problem. He said that some part on my car (that I recently had repaired, only a few months ago) was "too big." He showed me the government website and said I needed the part number to correspond to a certain number on that site. He told me that he refused to pass me (even though he handed me the test results... and my car completely passed the emissions tests!) based on "visual inspection," and to come back to him within 30 days to get another test done after I get the part repaired. That SAME day, I went to the place I'd had my car repaired at and told them the problem. They used the very same website to look up that part-in-dispute and showed me that it was, in fact, sanctioned by the bureau! He said that if I put the part that the smog guy wanted me to put on, it had the potential of throttling my muffler and causing damage. So I called the smog guy, from the repair shop. He told me to REPORT the mechanic because he "refused to work with me," told me to get it repaired, and hung up. I told the mechanic what happened, and the mechanic offered to call him. I heard their conversation-- all of 20 seconds-- the mechanic was polite in explaining what he found, and the smog guy hung up on him. The mechanic was unsure of what to do. He said I may be stuck doing the repair, but before I did anything [I just broke down crying and then] I told him I'd sleep on it. I called the smog bureau people (I know their office has a name... but I forget what it officially is) and told them the story. I asked if I *NEEDED* to take my car back to the same guy for the smog check (as smog guy had told me I had to), and the official said no. So, at that point, I looked around for another smog place nearby, stopped in, hung out, and LIKE MAGIC, they said it passed the emissions tests and all the rest looked fine. Passed, without problem. After all was said and done, I was relieved to not be forced to make a repair that could potentially damage my car to satisfy one jerk of a smog technician. I looked over my bill from Quicky Smog, and found that... they had charged me a certificate fee when I'd never received one, on top of the smog test fee. !@##$#@$@!!!!! So, basically, this place screwed me over, made me cry, and stole my money. NEVER go here. read more

Found this place online while shopping for the cheapest price. There is a coupon on their website for $16.75(+$8.25 cert fee). Was a bit concerned because of a few of the other reviews, but decided to give it a try anyways. Got there around 2PM and was driving out with a free car wash by 2:25. Paid $25 and received no hassle or any hidden charges. It does clearly state on the website that older and larger cars are a bit more expensive. If you are in a hurry and don't want to spend a lot of money I highly suggest coming to this place. read more
