I didn't purchase anything from concessions, but they also didn't have any prices listed which was annoying. I also thought the admission prices were kind of expensive. The key was to get there early so you could enjoy all the attractions without the lines that form as the day goes on. We found loungers right away, grabbed tubes and hit the lazy river, and after a few relaxing laps, we headed for the splash pad. My 3 year old didn't leave there for the rest of the day. He was completely enthralled with all of the splash features, water slides, and fun that surrounded him. The water was just deep enough that he could float around on his stomach but not deep enough to ever be too worried. The older kids and myself hit the big slides, which were a blast. For a small waterpark, these were solid. The design kept you on your toes and they picked up enough speed to give you a little rush. They have an onsite cafe but they also allow you to bring in your own cooler, which is amazing! We packed a picnic and had a great lunch as a group. The one pro-tip I have is to book a FUNBRELLA! We thought about it too late, but these shaded pavilions are perfect for groups and reasonably priced so you don't even need a special occasion to get one. Sure I remembered it being much bigger, but Paradise Cove delivered!

I also want to recognize the entire team from the entrance staff, security, servers, and management. Everyone was welcoming, professional, and made the park feel organized, calm, and relaxing despite how busy it was. The only constructive feedback I have is regarding the FlowRider. I completely understand the importance of the safety video, but I believe guests should receive a brief explanation of why they're required to watch it. A little more communication and warmth in that interaction would make the experience even better. Overall, Tidal Cove exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to come back. I'm only 5 minutes away and the day was beautiful so I packed the bare minimum to spend about 2.5 hours with my 3 year old. I just wasn't sure what to expect. I had a lot of questions like, were we going to like it? Was there going to be ok food? How was the parking going to be? Was I going to find a place to sit? I just didn't know. Let me tell you what I packed and what I will do next time. I just took a back pack with two towels, a water bottle, sun block, a pack of gold fish crackers and my wallet. I did ok with the towels because I was wondering if they'd have towels for us like they do in a resort. They don't have towels for you and I have no idea why I would have thought that they would have towels? In addition to the above I'll take more snacks, beverages, couple more towels and treat it like a beach day. We walked the entire park to get a feel for where we were at and find a good spot. Surprisingly enough we found a spot in the back and that was ok. I feel that any spot is a good spot at the park because everything is so close. You'll find plenty of loungers, a few loungers are under big umbrellas, some tables with umbrellas and areas reserved for parties. Some people even moved loungers under palm trees a little further back or sat around on the grass. Everyone seemed happy with there choice. There is plenty of food spots. One main area where you can get chicken wings, tenders, pizza, hot dogs, ice cream, sodas, small bagged snacks, plus a few more items. And there are about three or more carts around the pool you can get hot dogs, cut watermelon and shaved ice at. That was more than enough for the size of the place. We didn't have to wait long at all to get a snack when we got hungry. The pools are crowded because that's what we are all there to do but it's expected and we were not all on top of each other. You will have to make short lines to get on the water slides and the lazy river which I didn't expect because I was still thinking "Resort" lol. Again, it was all good at the end because they were very quick. There are life guards EVERYWHERE so you feel very safe and they control the shenanigans of ppl trying to cut the line even tho it's not a long wait and monkeying around at the pool. Yes, I read other Yelpers reviews about the lifeguards whistling every second, but.... come on it's not a big deal... you're at a public pool with a lot of people and they are keeping everyone safe. No biggie! Parking was easy for us. We actually found one the moment we drove in close to the entrance however any parking spot is a good spot. The lot is large and we didn't encounter frustrated drivers looking for parking far away. Once we were there enjoying the day, hopped around from pool to pool and walked around a little we liked it. If you've stayed at a resort before, the pool has the same feel minus the hotel and open bar. The entrance price is a deal. One adult and child entrance totaled $19. This is a great way to spend the day if you're a local or a tourist. Note: there are float vests available for the children but they are limited. There are lockers available to store your valuables for a fee.

The island is well shaded. There are a few butterfly statues which make for a nice photo op. You catch the shuttle boat at Sullivan Park, it runs on the hour between 10 and three Friday through Sunday. Parking is convenient ( and free) in the large lot. If you have children you could also visit Sullivan Park. Local lore has it that Al Capone buried some treasure here although it has never been found. You can see all the island in about an hour but could make a day of it with a picnic lunch.

Don't go to this park for the Renaissance Festival. They have no security! Car thieves are rampant there! I went today arrived at 2:30 and left at 4:30, my cars window was smashed in, they broke into 7 cars total. One of the reinnassance workers mentioned that they needed to have security there and that there have been breakins before. I left my car keys to my bmw in my fiances lexus, they were under the seat, they rammsacked the car and took my keys. This will set me back 500.00! for a tow and a key at the BMW dealer. The lady beside me had an Ipad in her back seat along with a camera, they stole that. One other person had just a few paper bags in the car with clothes in it, they stole that too! Another person had a black canvas lunchbox in the back seat...wow and they busted their window just to get that! Stay away from this place!!!! This all happened in broad daylight! read more

When I was the executive director of the Hotel Association, I used to recommend this county park to…read morethose seeking a campground (instead of a hotel or motel) in Fort Lauderdale. It is the closest one in the area to Fort Lauderdale Beach. And they offer "primitive" camping, i.e. in a tent, as well as RV/Camper camping plus all the related facilities. But it's been quite some time since I actually visited this park. Located just west of Powerline Road, you wouldn't have any idea that this 40 plus acre park exists unless you were looking for it. There is no entrance fee during the week, so we were able to come and explore for free. The driving road is one way in a big circle around the park. The park is packed with so much to see and do. For nature lovers, it is part of the Birding and Wildlife Trail. The woodland trail entrance starts from the road. It had been raining a lot recently. We decided it might be a bit muddy to walk as we hadn't come prepared to do so. There are lush green grass areas and shady trees in the main area of the park. For the sports enthusiast there is disc golf, volleyball, horseshoes, basketball, and shuffleboard. For the kids there are wide open areas to run around in and playgrounds. We know a family who lives locally who recently visited here one weekend for a mini vacation with their new RV and had a blast here. And one of our fellow yelp elites visits often for disc golf. It's a place that can be enjoyed by locals as well as tourists -- whether you're looking to relax or for recreation. We had a lovely leisurely visit here. When the weather is nice, it is a quiet and peaceful retreat from the traffic and city distractions.

After checking in its a a small drive around the whole park to the parking for the 1st hole. I was there before the others so I was able to get some practice throws in on their practice hole first. once everyone was there we started the round. There is about 3 water holes, and they are all at the beginning. They arent hard though, it's really about going around the lake. We made it through there fine. after that its a mix of open field joles and others that go through the woods. Almost every hole is doable. I'm not good and I can par most of them. In fact I had 2 birdies that day. The whole course is well maintained. Nothing too fancy but it's taken care of. There are other amenities like a playground, camping, basketball court, and more. But the central attraction to me is the course. Oh, and they have a bonus 19th and 20th holes! Can't beat that.

They Even had a cleaning station with a water hose and foot scrubber to clean your shoes on the way out.
