Expensive, Slow, and the Agreement Already Fell Apart…read more I used Truce Law in 2023/24 for my divorce, involving both children and financial assets to divide. I worked directly with Justin. He is convincing, knowledgeable, and genuinely makes you feel like the collaborative approach will protect your kids and your interests. That pitch is what sold me. I wish the execution had matched it. The process involves paying for an entire team Justin recommends: a mediator, a Divorce Financial Analyst, and attorneys for both parties (including Justin himself). At the hourly rates involved, you expect competence. What I got was not meeting the expectation, at least from the Divorce Financial Analyst. The work product was so poor and unclear that I ended up rebuilding the asset division calculations myself from scratch, with full transparency and no ambiguity. That is work the analyst failed to do, repeatedly. Justin also dropped the ball on communication and follow-up. The agreement was not finalized on time. I had to push things forward myself over the Christmas break. His explanation was essentially that he was stretched thin across other cases. We eventually failed to have an agreement signed before the end of the year. The biggest promise of the collaborative approach is that a well-crafted agreement prevents future legal conflict. That promise has not held up. My agreement is ambiguous in key areas, and I am now dealing with exactly the kind of disputes they told me this process would prevent. Any vagueness in the document has become a point of contention. Long process, high cost, mediocre team, and an agreement that is already causing problems. I would not recommend this firm, do your homework.

Don't understand the low stars for this firm…read more Cory Rein is an excellent attorney. He is handling a family member's case. He was referred to us with the recommendation that Cory does not overload himself with cases, he prefers to dig in and get to know his clients cases thoroughly, completely. I have to say that so far--that is exactly what is happening. Cory is incredible, and so is his gifted Paralegal Jill Jenkins (Hi Jill!). Jill is Very responsive. Both of them are very organized. In court, I have never seen an attorney more prepared. He had a binder with tabs to cover any single thing that opposing counsel mentioned, no fumbling or looking for things, no ahhs or umms. He is VERY prepared in court. It's obvious he is totally at home speaking in court, he's a very experienced and effective litigator. No BS, no wasted words, and Cory *completely* out-lawyered opposing counsel at every turn--so far. If you have a case unlikely to settle, Cory is the type of attorney you dream of finding. Thank God we were referred to him, and he agreed to take the case. Cory is our third and last attorney, we have an extremely high-conflict case, and he's managing it with ease, whereas the last one absolutely could not deal, even after being warned. Cory is unrattled, has no problem calling things out, being an aggressive advocate when warranted, firing off a letter in 15 minutes getting action(!), and gently pulling back when it's not in the case's best interest. Jill has a great sense of humor about it all, so refreshing. Jill also writes very powerful Declarations out of "word salad," so gifted. The best part about Cory is he literally takes the Reins (pun intended) and takes action, he plans for all outcomes, and he is not afraid to use the law and courts, none of this "lets not rattle the cage" bs. --Yes, please, I want to rattle the cage, I'm sick of being nice, I'm done *taking it* and I'm ready to dish it out.-- Cory is your man. He is several steps ahead, bringing forward strategies and motions while we are still processing what just happened--Cory is halfway to the next goalpost. The police report put her 100% at fault along with her insurance. Unfortunately we both have progressive and low limits so they decided to throw me under the bus as it was cheaper to do that for them then to do the legal right thing and investigate it with video and it doesn't make sense but paid out under my policy. My car wasn't even involved in the wreck. I was not even involved in the accident it was a one car accident anyhow when I read through Ray's review it made me sad for Ray, but it made me sadder for this law firm. When I was injured 15 years ago it took my little case four years to settle, and if this was during Covid my goodness. I only wish I could have an attorney call me even from a car, and if a Boeing 747 flu by I would wave at it. I would have been happy to even get help from an attorney to give legal advice and with all of their advertising, the video I watched, this is so far a great attorneys office, I only wished I could utilize them.
