What a great place! Very reasonably priced, a lot less than I thought it would be! There was only one car ahead of me, I drove in without an appointment and I was out in no time. The guy ( sorry, I forgot his name) was super nice. He explained everything to me like where to park while waiting, he gave me options of where I could wait as well. He explained the certificate, absolutely everything I needed to know, he covered. Getting a smog isn't my favorite thing to go do, but I'll tell you I will definitely be back there in two more years when it's time to get another smog! Very professional, very courteous, I couldn't be more pleased. Outstanding service. I made an appointment same day and was there within the hour. They informed me that $20 off regular prices. Attendant wore a mask, gave me an additional Senior discount - explained the fees and got started right away. Very fast, efficient, informative. Across from Trader Joe's if you'd like to shop for the 15 minute diagnostic. I sat in the waiting room. Clean and relaxing. They also do free retest if your car fails. That was reassuring. The guy who helped me was super nice and friendly. My smog check was done in a short time so they definitely stand up to their name. What do you want when it's time for a smog check? Fast, simple and PASS! Well, that's what I had yesterday when I dropped in at Quik Smog on Redwood (my tags expire this week - egad!). Totally last minute, no appointment, when I arrive Tho gets my SUV in the garage, sits me down to complete the paperwork and gets going. Yes, the office is eerily abandoned except for a bench car seat, a couple of chairs and a desk with the credit card machine, but that only adds to the je ne sais quoi of this place. When I bring the completed paperwork to Tho, he tells me 15-20 minutes tops, so I go next door to the sub shop to get a soda. By the time I get back, he's ready with the paperwork all set to go! This is my second time to Quik Smog and both times I've been quite pleased with the service. I showed up Thursday, 11/19/20, at 12:20 in the afternoon. I didn't have an appointment. The young man at the service station, whose name I unfortunately didn't get, told me he could take my car right away. I was on the road at 12:41. He handled all the paperwork. The waiting room station was clean and disinfected. The man wore a full face mask the entire time and was polite and professional. The price was very reasonable. read more

I'd gone to another place twice. First time, he said he could t do it without dmv paperwork (when I went to DMV, they suggested otherwise, and that the shop might. It have wanted to do whatever extra paperwork might/might not be necessary. It's the DMV, so not sure whom to believe). Second time, he said, "sorry. My machine is down. Good luck finding somebody that can help you today." Guess what, clown show, I found somebody open and able to do it today. Not just that, but they did it fast (in/out in about 10 mins) and relatively inexpensively. Next time I've gotta do a smog check, I'll come here. I went to Quik Smog on my lunch break and was pleasantly surprised to get immediate service. I used a coupon from the ValuePak mailer, which was great! The gentleman that did my smog was very nice and professional. He even filled up all my tires with the proper air pressure because they were low. I had been meaning to take care of that for the past week, but hadn't had the time yet. So that was a nice little plus which I really appreciated. Update - went to Quik Smog again last week 9.2017 and again received excellent service. The gentleman there helped me immediately and even told me after how I could inexpensively order key fob replacements on eBay and then have them cut for my vehicle. Much cheaper than getting from the dealer! Turns out I ordered two key fobs for my car on eBay for $25 and then I can take them in to Pini Hardware to be cut and programmed to my car. Absolutely the best! I was a little bit concerned when I read the other Yelp reviews, however after having my car smog tested yesterday afternoon by David, I am a fan! I arrived without an appointment at 1:30 PM. David told me just to wait and he would have it done by 2 PM. I went into the waiting room which I admit, is not fancy. But what do people expect from a smog check place?? Velvet cushions? Red carpets? Of course not. This waiting room is typical of any car repair establishment. David did my smog check at a fair price and quickly at that. The best part about it was that he's open on Saturdays which is a lot more than I can say about every other place that does smog checks. Do these other places expect me to take a day off of work to get my smog checked? Sorry but no can-do. I highly recommend, as an Elite member of Yelp, that you go to Quik Smog! Take the other reviews with a grain of salt because I know for a fact that this was the best place I've ever taken my car for smog test. My boyfriend got his tested right after mine and he didn't have an appointment either and David still snuck him in. You can't get better than that. Honest and trustworthy!! I decided to yelp quik smog and Ryan who helped me today for a reason other than getting a smog check. I went to quik smog after getting my registration renewal in the mail and thinking I needed a smog. Turns out in CA you only need a smog every 2 years. As a newer resident to the state, it was very different from my former state, NV, which requires it once per year. Ryan was friendly and most importantly honest. He took my registration and came back 5 minutes later and explained the situation to me. He said I would be wasting my money. I really appreciate someone taking the time to explain to me why I do not need to spend extra money. I feel honesty and customer service are the most important qualities in small business and I found Ryan at Quik Smog to have both. I will definitely will go back next year when I actually need one. They were also the least expensive place I found. I was not prompted to write this review. read more

I got a coupon for this place in the Valupak mailer and decided to go there on my way home from work. There were signs and banners everywhere so I had no trouble finding it at all! Usually these test places are pretty dumpy, but I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the shop is. The place is immaculate!! I also noticed that they had a sign up advertising free wifi. It's right across from Trader Joes, so while they had my car, I walked across the street and picked up some items for dinner. Very convenient. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. I was headed to Napa from my home in LA, and needed a quick smog check before the July 4th weekend. I was fortunate to find Quick Smog - they were one of the few shops open in the area, and David was more than happy to squeeze me in as one of his last appointments. Service was quick. I asked him to explain the smog check process to me when he began testing, and he was nice enough to do so. I even stayed and chatted with him for 20 minutes or so afterwards. Okay, if your car is older than 2000 as in 1999 or earlier, you will need an appointment for this service and it will take a 1/2 hr. . . . maybe if the proprietor isn't busy, he'll fit you in, but . . . Also it costs more if your car is older than 2000. Mine is 1999 and that is his cut off for "Quik" in and out and for paying $40 vs. what I had to pay -- $62 plus $8 certificate fee. The man who helped me was courteous but if you have a dog, beware, he is afraid of getting bitten even if your dog is small and friendly. read more

If I could give them no stars I would, but that is not an option. Horrible horrible horrible!!! This place charges double (actually more than double) what Randall brothers (which is located about 10 feet away does. In addition they can not diagnose why your car has failed a smog, and the icing on the cake is that they are probably the ONLY shop around that will not retest for free. I advise you to go ANYWHERE else. They are a dishonest shop with poor customer service. read more
