This place is pretty standard and when I/m in a pinch I get cheese pizza/pepperoni/ red or green apple/banana/ the sandwiches are alright, definitely salty side. Crispies like hot chee-tos and ruffles! I love ruffles!! Guilty pleasures. They have recently added some more natural like teas, but for me they are a bit heavy on the sugar side. I see it no different than drinking a can of cokey cola. I'm not perfect. The one other detail I find interesting is that they took out the mini red bull sponsored pac man arcade game thing. I have been using this pharmacy for a long time with few issues. However, I'm old and wanted to get the new COVID vaccine recently. I got an appointment, showed up, and they refused the vaccine because I'm on Medicare. I called the pharmacist after and talked to her about it, and she started that they couldn't give me the vaccine because of my Medicare supplement. I pointed out that vaccines are part of normal Medicare and do not require a supplement, so it doesn't matter what supplement I have. She suggested I go to CVS, so I went to the one in Willow Glen and had a very nice experience. Now, I'm not even sure it's legal for them to refuse a vaccine for someone on "regular" Medicare (not "Medicare advantage," which I might understand), or if they have gotten into some anti-vax "MAHA" kick. But I want to warn my fellow older neighbors that this Walgreens seems to not be friendly to Medicare patients any more. Really a shame and very disappointing, but, outside of warning you, I don't know what can be done about this except take the little side trip to CVS.
