UNSAFE REPAIR! My wife took her car to this shop for an oil change, they recommended changing the air filter and rotate the tires. Today she noticed the car was making some weird loud noises. I took a look and realized the front driver side tire nuts were loose, I could turn them with my fingers! The other tires were not as loose, but I could still turn them a quarter turn with a lug wrench. This is a safety issue! Absolutely inexcusable for a mechanic to give back a vehicle to a customer in this condition. read more

Went here to get a smog check for my 1999 car. Everyone was nice on the phone and confirmed they could do pre-2000 smog checks. I waited for the car ahead of me to finish (when I arrived) and they started the smog check. About 5-10 minutes later, I see that they were moving my van, and was surprised how quickly they finished. Sadly, their machine (the mechanism to spin the wheels) broke, so they were unable to finish the smog check. I would go back there again, if they get it fixed. read more

I needed a smog check before renewing my DMV registration and had always seen this place driving down Hamilton. I called and they said I could come in right away which was great bc I went down on my lunch break. I was helped right away and the whole thing took less than 20 mins. They uploaded all the info needed to the DMV for me, I just provided them my renewal letter. They were quick and efficient but what I loved most was the price. It was $62 for the smog test which is less than what I've paid in the past at other places and they were way quicker so I really appreciate it! read more

My front headlight was out. Frank the auto tech helped me repeatedly because the headlight bulb was hard to find. He helped me understand I needed special xenon light for my dodge. When I called dealer they wanted to charge me $900 for the two xenon headlight bulbs. Insane! My vehicle not a Porsche, it's a Dodge Durango. But Frank helped me through the process patiently. I had to make several trips. Was able to get replacement for $80 for both bulbs. Came by for a fill up the other day and it was a decent experience. The location isn't as convenient as other Chevrons although their prices are significantly lower than other Chevrons in the area. Chevron gift cards are the charged the cash price. Pay at the pump along with NFC pay is available at the pump. Both squeegees and paper towels were available too. Hi Mike, I appreciate you replying. Congratulations on being in business for so long. However I would strongly recommend that you have your mechanics recertified or put double checks in place to ensure that your customers are actually getting the services and inspection they're paying for. You can ask your technician Alex. I brought my BMW to your shop last month for factory maintenance and found the maintenance services and inspections provided by your shop to be questionable. Some of the services I paid for were not completed and the safety inspections were very lacking. I paid over $900 for factory maintenance but it felt like all I got was an oil change. When I was given my car in the evening, the attendant told me it passed all checks and safety inspections however numerous alerts on my car dashboard said otherwise. 1. Replace air filter. The same dirty air filter was left in my car and nothing was changed by your mechanic. 2. Engine coolant flush. My coolant was flushed but the fluid was never replaced. I was given a car with zero engine coolant. When I spoke with Alex he insisted the coolant was refilled and advised me to drive the car until the dash light went away...? I checked it myself and verified there was no coolant. Had I driven the car around as Alex advised, it could have overheated and seriously damaged my engine. 3. The safety and brake inspection performed by your mechanic completely missed that both my front brake pads needed to be replaced... What are you guys even checking? 4. My tires were not rotated. Yes my front and rears are different sizes, but you can still rotate from side to side (left to right). This was not done. 5. Lastly your spark plug replacement, the spark plugs failed a couple weeks later and I was left stranded on the road. See my screenshot below for the dashboard warnings I got. All 4 of the spark plugs and ignition coils needed to be replaced. A paying customer should be able to trust that the services they are paying for are completed and done so in a professional manner the first time they visit. I shouldn't have to come back to remind your mechanics to do maintenance services that I was invoiced for. Your mechanic flushed my engine coolant and didn't even refill it...??? What other stuff did they completely forget about? That's kind of the thing with hiring a professional to inspect and perform maintenance on your car, you are trusting them to do it right the first time and provide you with a safe operable vehicle. I shouldn't have to go to another mechanic shop to verify your work and redo it properly. Two weeks after your mechanic "did' the spark plug replacement, there was a mechanical failure and I was left stranded on the road. The spark plugs needed to be replaced again along with the ignition coils. To be honest I don't even know if your mechanic actually did the spark plug replacement, brand new spark plugs usually don't fail two weeks later. Just like the other services they didn't do but happily charged me for. I advise prospective customers to look else where for maintenance/repair needs. Don't worry about contacting me. You lost me as a customer and I will not be returning to your shop. read more

After 8 month and the last great experience that I had at this chevron I went back again for maintenance service which was way over due on my car. The staff as usual were ver friendly and took care of my car needed factory service. My car was all completed by end of the day and good for next 30K service. tl;dr: These guys tried to rip me off for over $250 in repairs that they had recommended and completed not 6 months ago (less than 5000 miles)! DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS. You were supposed to be the chosen one!!! Remember Obi Wan? That's how I feel about this place. I really liked these guys. I felt like I'd finally found an honest mechanic shop. I've taken my car here 5 times in the last year and 4 of those times seemed to go flawlessly. But I don't take kindly to people ripping me off. Here's the story: On March 11th, at 110,388 miles, I brought my car in to have the brakes replaced. They did that, but then called me and said the transmission fluid was dirty and needed to be replaced and that the air intake filter also needed replacement. I hadn't had the transmission fluid replaced in a while so I agreed to that, but replacing a filter is easy so I turned that down. He told me that there was dirt in the intake on the engine side and that if I wasn't careful when replacing the filter, I could get the dirt in the engine. But I reassured him I was fine and he backed off. (For the record, the air filter was filthy... on the exterior side, but the engine side was white and clean, no dirt.) On August 4th, at 115,176 miles, I brought my car in for an oil change. They do the change, but tell me that the transmission fluid is dirty and needs to be replaced and the air filter also needs to be replaced. Hmm. I try to contain my immediate fury and ask him how many miles a transmission replacement usually lasts. He says "about 30,000 miles". I go "Interesting, because I got mine replaced less than 5,000 miles ago.. Here. In March." Immediately, he jumps into explaining to me how transmission fluid works in an engine (I assume. He was throwing out a lot of mechanical terms). He had previously been speaking to me entirely in layman's terms. I stop him, turn down the services, pay, and leave. When I get home, I check my transmission fluid. A little brown, but mostly pink (as it should be). I check my air filter. About as close to white as a used air filter can be (pictures attached). For good measure, I checked the cabin air filter and that filter is also clean. So this dude was ripping me off. And if he's willing to ripoff a repeat customer who's come in regularly for a year, you gotta believe he's willing to ripoff any customer who comes in the door. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS. To clarify, this is not me being suspicious that he was ripping me off, or thinking "something seems amiss." I know for a fact he was trying to rip me off. Either they didn't check those things and just say that to everyone, or they did and they knew full well that no repairs needed to be done. I've had a lot of mechanics tell me a lot of lies, but this one really pissed me off. I will NOT be coming back, but I will be sharing this story with all of my neighbors and friends in the area and anyone else who'd like to chat about it. read more

The roommate and I were in need of gas for the journey back home to San Francisco. We were heading to dinner with his family, so we stopped by this Chevron on Sunday, May 14th around 4:45pm. Prices were the following that day: $3.159 for Regular, $3.259 for Plus, and $3.359 Supreme. Not the cheapest, but it was a convenient location as we were heading to a restaurant in Campbell. They have the average amount of pumps and there was no wait. Quick in and out which is what I look for in a gas station. I do believe if you have a Chevron card, the price per gallon is less, so if you go to Chevron a lot and have that card, make sure to use it. Hamilton Chevron. Nice workers here. Came here because I had a nail in my tire and didn't want to wait an hour at American tires. Asked if they take out nails in tires and they do. I paid $25 which is a little high but I just decided to pay for it since I didn't want to wait any longer and had to go to work. They accept card and you can pay inside which is great because usually places like this only take cash. They fixed my nail in less than 5 minutes. read more

My vehicle was having electrical issues they changed my battery and ripped out my interior and my backseat for no apparent reason charged me 422$ for battery and an hour of inspection and 25$ charge to change my battery and my car was not even fixed after a week I thought enough was enough and took my car to another mechanic he found the issue and fixed the car in the same day turns out the alternator was bad I stand by the fact that they have no clue what their doing.
