My family ate at this restaurant while visiting Austin. The setting is absolutely beautiful, right on the lake, and the service was excellent. Unfortunately, the food was very average at best. I ordered the French dip, and the meat was so salty that I was drinking water for the rest of the day. No one in our group was particularly happy with their meal. My niece ordered the scrambled eggs, and she also thought they were far too salty. Considering the prices, I expected much better food. While the atmosphere and service were outstanding, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant based on the quality of the food. read more

We went to Quince for our anniversary, and it was a perfect experience in every way. We expected a place with a great view and average food. Boy, were we wrong! The food at Quince was genuinely some of the best we've had in Austin (and I'm not exaggerating). The service was fantastic too--special shoutout to our waiter Antonio, who made the evening really special. We started with the Smooth Hummus and Crispy Brussels. The manager, Chris, came by and surprised us with glasses of champagne for our anniversary, then checked in on us throughout the night. Such a nice touch. For our mains, we shared the Panko Crusted Chilean Sea Bass and the NY Strip. Both were outstanding. We went at 5:30 and took advantage of Happy Hour. Lovely location with beautiful lake views. Our party was seated inside, but it was still a great experience. We went on a Friday night during graduation weekend, so it was fairly busy. The service at dinner wasn't exceptional, but it wasn't bad either. Most guests seemed to be enjoying the patio area, which offers a fantastic view and a great atmosphere. The food was excellent. The appetizers were delicious, and the brisket fries with cheese were a standout. I had the filet mignon with mashed potatoes, and it was the perfect portion size. The background music added a nice Latin touch and complemented the overall ambiance very well. We went to Quince for dinner with a group of 9 friends. There was initially some confusion about the reservation, but they were able to accommodate us. The bar area is very large and we ordered drinks while waiting for our table. There's a comfy sofa seating area in front of a fireplace, which was not on yesterday because it is Texas in June. We were seated at a long table in the inside dining area. Because we were such a large group, we ordered a selection of appetizers to share, followed by a selection of main courses to share. Everything we tried was delicious! Some of the people had raw oysters, which they said were extremely fresh. The hummus with crispy brussels sprouts was a favorite, as were the dumplings. We had a variety of different cocktails, all of which were very good. We tried to order three desserts, but they were out of the blackberry cobbler. The other two desserts that we tried were fine. I think we all agreed that we wouldn't order them again because the cakes were a dry, but we will definitely try the cobbler next time. Our server, Courtney was so attentive and did an amazing job! She checked in regularly, make sure that the beverages and food arrived in a timely manner, and provided great recommendations. Aside from the desserts, the only other slight downside of our visit is that there were a lot of flies. I don't know if the doors to the outdoor seating had been opened earlier or what was going on, but it was not awesome shooing flies all night. Minor point and it won't keep us from returning! The views are really the main attraction here- we sat indoors but the patio is right on the water and so nice. We arrived around 2PM and were able to sit immediately. But the food took a while, about 20 minutes. The hamachi in the roll was fresh, but the sauce tasted a little bit like cleaner fluid. The burger was decent, but $26. So if you go, be ready to be paying for the ambience, not really for the food. read more

Was brought here as a surprise for my anniversary and I am so happy with the experience. A nice cozy table overlooking the water and the lighting made for a great atmosphere. I accidentally found myself at Quince on the wrong date this week because I the event I was supposed to be at the previous day was on the wrong date in my calendar! However, instead of leaving I decided to have a drink at the bar. They have happy hour specials on margaritas and ranch waters, so of course I partook. They also had discounts on sushi and other food items so I tried the salmon roll. Really enjoyed the outside patio and I met a nice influencer woman at the bar and we connected on some professional business items. A few girlfriends and I met here for happy hour and had a great time. Happy hour is Mon-Fri 3p-6p. We had a lovely table outside with views of the lake. Their happy menu rocks with lots of good choices and variety. We had a lot of food and some great cocktails. Some of the delicious dishes we tried were, Rock Shrimp Tempura in Spicy Aioli, Truffle fries, Char-Grilled Octopus, Beef Yakimeshi Bowl and the Hamachi Frida Roll. In town from Chicago and a few of us decided to check this out. We had a reservation and they called us 30 minutes before it to tell us we would have to sit outside. It was cold and rainy. We were sat on the patio next to the water. We were shivering and after we let them manager know they finally sat us inside. Jasmine, our server, was the only bright spot here. She was great! It's been a while! Came here on a Saturday afternoon in the middle of summer. We walked in and requested a seat by the water and got a table for two right next to the lake. It was nice to watch the boats and water activities. Our serve Michael was great because he was attentive, funny, and got our order right. He was hustling though, as it was pretty busy. We appreciate you! The dozen oysters from PEI came dressed with roe and japeno slices with some of the best mignonette I've had in a while with a baby bottle of tobasco (so cute!) I liked my cucumber spritz, which was the right amount of alcohol and refresher. The brisket fries were a must with the spicy cheese and the lamb barbocoa dumples in the cilantro sauce made me want to lick the plate. My boyfriend's hollaindaise sauce had truffle in it over poached eggs and steak was delicious too. Happy Quince still has good food, great views and friendly staff. read more

What a cute place to celebrate any phase of life or just enjoy a great meal with a beautiful view! we made a reservation ahead of time for a birthday celebration. each dish we ordered averaged about 20$ each (nigiri was 10$ for 2 pieces) drinks were average of 15$ each. everything we had was packed with flavor. portions were a bit small but we ordered quite a few things and shared it all. Fish seemed fresh, only thing that was missing was some type of spice (we like spicy) but other then that , no complaints! my personal favorites were the torched salmon pressed sushi, and the tuna tower! our waiter was pretty attentive but didn't seem too excited to be there. overall we enjoyed the beautiful setting and had a wonderful evening dining with Quince! An amazing experience! we visited Quince on a Tuesday right before HH ended and Jasmine (and Miles!) took great care of us! the ambiance of this restaurant is unmatched. We sat on the patio and walking through the restaurant the pops of color and the way the decor is such a clean aesthetic was breath taking. We ordered a little of everything... best were the Surf and Turf Roll, the Peruvian Brisket Fries, but also the Tuna Roll, the Dynamite Shrimp and everything else was TOP NOTCH! I struggled with what to rate Quince. Pros: service was friendly. Restaurant is pretty. It's on Lake Austin. Food was well presented. Cons: service and kitchen were VERY slow. Food was just OK. I got the truffle Benedict. I could taste the truffles but the thin ribeye layers were dry, tough, and overcooked. It needed seasoning or something. We also got fajitas. While the taste was good, the meat was extremely tough and not chewable. The French double dip, however, was a fan favorite at the table. I grew up in Westlake and live in Westlake and have seen restaurants come and go from Oyster Landing. The running joke is that the restaurants on Lake Austin are cursed with terrible food despite being on the lake and this wasn't any different. This is why I hadn't come to Quince until now. I guess people who don't have a boat or don't live in the neighborhood can enjoy Lake Austin this way but...meh...Honestly, the savory bites at Mozart's (like the samosas) would have been a better brunch and you can sit on the lake too. It also states "smart casual" for dress attire but there were big spaces in the wooden stairs that my heel fell through so...maybe fix that before you tell people to wear smart casual. Also, it's a nightmare walking down that giant hill from the overflow parking in heels. Wear flats. Parking is always a nightmare at Oyster Landing. I got the last spot in the overflow parking after dropping passengers off at Quince. Someone was waiting for my spot as we were leaving. Quince Lake House is on inKind and so we thought, let's try it and use up some credits but we won't be back. read more

This was our second time at Quince and we will keep coming back! The atmosphere, the service, and the food were all wonderful. You can never go wrong with the hummus appetizers here. Last year they had a short rib & hummus appetizers that I loved, this year they had hummus & crispy brussels that was just as tasty. I tend to go for things I don't see all over review pages and today that was the Aji Pepper Risotto. It was PHENOMENAL!!! The flavors throughout the entire dish were perfect, nothing was overly spicy or salty, just rich and filling in the best way. I was able to finish about 3/4 before I was full and passed the rest to my husband who also looooved it. Carlitos was a great server, attentive and prompt and orchestrated a great night. I love this place, I think it's exactly where you want to be to enjoy Austin in the spring, celebrate events, and take visitors to enjoy a great meal. read more

Quince Lakehouse is nestled along the shores of Lake Austin, next door to Hula Hut and Mozart's (across the street from the LCRA). Quince Lakehouse is a summer vibe with a spectacular panoramic view of Lake Austin, fresh air wafting in from the lake and warm sun rays kissing your skin. The multi-tiered decks give the feeling of being on a boat (not sure if this was intentional). This is the ultimate relaxing and chill environment. Quince creates a lake house ambience with stringy light fixtures, life size figurines at entry and homey feel with bookshelves like you might see in a home. This restaurant has changed ownership several times but always manages to reopen. A group of colleagues decided to get together for Happy Hour. The menu is a convergence of foods from Latin America, Asia, and US. We ate mainly appetizers: lamb barbacoa dumplings, smooth hummus, & naan, eggplant tempura bites, rock shrimp tempura in spicy aioli and boa carnitas. All the appetizers were good, however, the standouts for me were rock shrimp tempura and the boa carnitas. I had sparkling rose for the first time and it was absolutely delicious...very refreshing. The perfect attire for Quince Lakehouse is shorts, polos, sandals...casual Austin chic. Outside on the deck it is a bit hot, although there are misters sprinkled throughout the deck. We mainly stayed inside to avoid the 95 degree weather. Important to note, parking is a challenge. I circled the parking lot three times before this nice gentleman told me he was leaving but it would take a few minutes to get packed in the car. I was extremely thankful for his kindness. There is limited street parking. Quince Lakehouse is a great spot for special occasions, scenic vistas, beautiful sunsets, or a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Food: ok so it was my first time here and I wanted the brunch so I ordered a few things to taste it all. Everything I had was so good! Nothing was bland everything had flavor! I even warmed up the leftovers the next day and it was still just as good! The cocktails were also good! Service: the service was solid! I love when you get checked on, and your drinks stay filled. The service was definitely appreciated and boy were they busy! Ambiance: now to be next to the lake, music going, food amazing, and drinks flowing, I'd say this is a vibe. Our server Jasmine was great, food came out quickly and everything was yummy. We had a couple of rolls, hummus, and our man dishes were good. I had a reservation a couple of months ago for four, had to modify it for two the night before but added them back the next day. I called and the hostess left me on hold for 30 min, I called back and explained she left me on hold - no apologies but updated my reservation back to four and just hung up the phone. On my reservation I noted I was celebrating a birthday and wanted a table near the water. Upon arrival, Hannah the hostess took us to a booth, I pointed to a table near the window and asked if we could sit there instead and she replied no and walked away. This table sat empty our whole dinner. I believe the host staff could use some customer service help, starting guests off on the wrong foot starts the dinner in a deficit. This is my second time dining here at Quince, My first dinner experience. I really love that they have valet right in front and in between hula Hut and Quince, super convenient and only $10. We had a reservation for 3 at 6:45p. We were sat quickly and directly by the largest window with such a great view. I was surprised to see the tightrope entertainment, He did such a great job and when he was finished he came inside and greeted everyone, That was an opportunity for gratuity. Our server was Ela. She was super sweet, attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the Cabernet but both of my friends ordered the matcha martini and I had so much FOMO because that drink was good! Get you a matcha martini. We started with the hummus, brussel sprout plus crudite appetizer. It was absolutely delicious. That was my first time mixing brussel sprouts with hummus and now I am a fan. I ordered the bowl of gumbo but could not finish it because it was just so rich. It had good flavor with big chunks of chicken and sausage but it was just too much food and I had already filled up on the hummus. I've been here about 5 times due to various events. The only pro is the view, which is obviously the reason why most come here. Otherwise, the food is mid. Parking might as well be non-existent, given the amount of traffic here. I always just valet. The hostesses are weird. Not sure if they're all told to be off-putting or what. This is such a beautiful experience on the lake. We Sunday Brunched it style on a beautiful cooler summer morning. As we walked through the main restaurant I had a throwback feeling of walking through Hotel Coronado in California vibes. I felt like I was walking through a hotel resort and about to walk out to the resort the beach if that makes any sense lol. Our table setting on the patio had a perfect view of the lake. The service was great. Food selection was unique and multi cultural it seemed. A nice assortment of options. The only hesitation I had with ordering was the price point per portion seemed a bit high. I would love to come back during their happy hour and try some things out that I hesitated ordering this go round.
