Lovely location with beautiful lake views. Our party was seated inside, but it was still a great experience. We went on a Friday night during graduation weekend, so it was fairly busy. The service at dinner wasn't exceptional, but it wasn't bad either. Most guests seemed to be enjoying the patio area, which offers a fantastic view and a great atmosphere. The food was excellent. The appetizers were delicious, and the brisket fries with cheese were a standout. I had the filet mignon with mashed potatoes, and it was the perfect portion size. The background music added a nice Latin touch and complemented the overall ambiance very well. Overall, a great dining experience with beautiful views, good food, and a relaxing atmosphere.

We went to Quince for dinner with a group of 9 friends. There was initially some confusion about the reservation, but they were able to accommodate us. The bar area is very large and we ordered drinks while waiting for our table. There's a comfy sofa seating area in front of a fireplace, which was not on yesterday because it is Texas in June. We were seated at a long table in the inside dining area. Because we were such a large group, we ordered a selection of appetizers to share, followed by a selection of main courses to share. Everything we tried was delicious! Some of the people had raw oysters, which they said were extremely fresh. The hummus with crispy brussels sprouts was a favorite, as were the dumplings. We had a variety of different cocktails, all of which were very good. We tried to order three desserts, but they were out of the blackberry cobbler. The other two desserts that we tried were fine. I think we all agreed that we wouldn't order them again because the cakes were a dry, but we will definitely try the cobbler next time. Our server, Courtney was so attentive and did an amazing job! She checked in regularly, make sure that the beverages and food arrived in a timely manner, and provided great recommendations. Aside from the desserts, the only other slight downside of our visit is that there were a lot of flies. I don't know if the doors to the outdoor seating had been opened earlier or what was going on, but it was not awesome shooing flies all night. Minor point and it won't keep us from returning! Great views over the lake and really people watching!

The views are really the main attraction here- we sat indoors but the patio is right on the water and so nice. We arrived around 2PM and were able to sit immediately. But the food took a while, about 20 minutes. The hamachi in the roll was fresh, but the sauce tasted a little bit like cleaner fluid. The burger was decent, but $26. So if you go, be ready to be paying for the ambience, not really for the food.

A great spot for a business dinner. Beautiful restaurant with parking lots across the street or valet. We sat on the lake at sunset with a view. Great service and the food was fresh and flavorful. We had almost every appetizer on the menu and the tuna & ceviche was our favorites.

Quince was great. Sat on the patio and the environment was beautiful and festive. Great appetizers, non-alcoholic margs, and dessert. Our server Jasmine was awesome.

A few girlfriends and I met here for happy hour and had a great time. Happy hour is Mon-Fri 3p-6p. We had a lovely table outside with views of the lake. Their happy menu rocks with lots of good choices and variety. We had a lot of food and some great cocktails. Some of the delicious dishes we tried were, Rock Shrimp Tempura in Spicy Aioli, Truffle fries, Char-Grilled Octopus, Beef Yakimeshi Bowl and the Hamachi Frida Roll. All so yummy and we got completely filled. For dessert we had the Blueberry cobbler - so good! Perfect for romantic dates or a girl's night out with a beautiful ambiance.

In town from Chicago and a few of us decided to check this out. We had a reservation and they called us 30 minutes before it to tell us we would have to sit outside. It was cold and rainy. We were sat on the patio next to the water. We were shivering and after we let them manager know they finally sat us inside. Jasmine, our server, was the only bright spot here. She was great! But the food was overpriced and just ok. The dumplings were the only thing worth ordering in my opinion.

Food. Ceviche and verde roll, vegan and dip.

Mia took care of us and the service was good. No issues helping to accommodate vegan options for my daughter. The view and area was really nice. Not crowded and easy pace in an otherwise busy city. Good was great. Got the mahumarra (sp). Was really tasty. Also the ceviche was exceptional. Fresh fish. Great lime but not overpowering.

An amazing experience! we visited Quince on a Tuesday right before HH ended and Jasmine (and Miles!) took great care of us! the ambiance of this restaurant is unmatched. We sat on the patio and walking through the restaurant the pops of color and the way the decor is such a clean aesthetic was breath taking. We ordered a little of everything... best were the Surf and Turf Roll, the Peruvian Brisket Fries, but also the Tuna Roll, the Dynamite Shrimp and everything else was TOP NOTCH! Will definitely be back!

Courtney made our dinning experience amazing. The view was great and comfortable accommodations from a rainy week. Everything we had to eat was delicious!!

The view, bright and open to nature atmosphere, service are all great. We had a great time meeting friends for a brunch. Unfortunately, the food could be better. I had avocado toast that was basically an avocado spread on thick baguette, not toasted and not too exciting flavor profile.

This was our second time at Quince and we will keep coming back! The atmosphere, the service, and the food were all wonderful. You can never go wrong with the hummus appetizers here. Last year they had a short rib & hummus appetizers that I loved, this year they had hummus & crispy brussels that was just as tasty. I tend to go for things I don't see all over review pages and today that was the Aji Pepper Risotto. It was PHENOMENAL!!! The flavors throughout the entire dish were perfect, nothing was overly spicy or salty, just rich and filling in the best way. I was able to finish about 3/4 before I was full and passed the rest to my husband who also looooved it. Carlitos was a great server, attentive and prompt and orchestrated a great night. I love this place, I think it's exactly where you want to be to enjoy Austin in the spring, celebrate events, and take visitors to enjoy a great meal.

Ask the Community - Quince Lakehouse

Is there an actual Happy Hour menu? Can't find one on the net anywhere.... I see their HH is Mon-Fri 3-5:00 but no HH Menu listed on their website or on Yelp.

We were at Quince Lakehouse on 4/13/24 (Saturday). The place was packed, so I don't know if there was a Happy Hour menu for non-weekend days. Hula Hut next door does have a Happy Hour menu.

Are there any light shareable appetizers that would be appropriate for making available for a small group informal gathering?

Definitely! The hummus (with Brussels or short ribs) and toasted pita is one I can personally recommend.

    Is there valet parking?

We went during the day and there wasn't a valet on duty so we parked across the street in the lot. But I saw a valet stand...not sure what hours they actually have that up and running.

    Is there a kid menu?

I didn't see one, but it could be a separate menu and not printed on the main one we were given. Since we didn't have kids with us maybe they just didn't give us one? Sorry I don't know for sure.

    Are dogs allowed?

    Yes, we are dog friendly!

Is there any happy hour here?

yes, there was a happy hour

The best item we got was the steak tartare- so if you are there, try it out. The other items were under seasoned severely. Because the waiter was so not interested, I had to go grab salt myself. Very handsome man, if only he would smile. It was a Wednesday night so perhaps they were under staffed that night & really, you just never know the day someone's had. Way too citrusy oddly dressing on the Caesar. The shrimp were cooked well but the dressing was so disappointing & certainly not Caesar. (The food has never been exceptional - oh, how I wish it was good. I love seafood & it's a lovely location that I really, really want to fall in love with.) We are at the Omni about 4-5 times a year - it's beautiful - highly recommend the overall experience. For food however, do yourself a favor and head to Bob's for great food or Crenshaw's for more casual options (great fish & ships, salads with grilled shrimp & sandwiches). We both walked out saying, this is the last time because there are just so many other options nearby.

This is the third time I have come here and the food was awful. The bruschetta has gone from being an amazing array of tastes to this sad Soviet Union dish. The goat cheese was a sad amount, the salmon was sparse and salty like gefilte, the prosciutto looked grey. My crispy chicken sandwich was uninspired, cold and tasted like I was eating out of a food truck during my lunch break. My friends sandwich was Cuban and was soggy and wet and cold the meat looked gray. Last time I was here I ordered a pizza the crust was wet and soaked with grease. This is not a cheap fast food place so then the question we have to answer is why is the food served like this and what can be done to rescue this staple of the west lake hills. Please fix this. But definitely a packed place with all the seating a bit tight. Looking at the menu it was a mix of Tex-Mex Polynesian fusion items. We decided to start off with the Mexonesian shrimp flautas, main course was the back ribs and dessert Cinnamon Toast Crunch fried ice cream. The appetizer was an interesting mix of what I would call something between a stuffed jalapeño popper and cheese wonton. Crispy, saucy, cheesey and a sweet plum sauce to balance out the flavors. The ribs definitely did not come to play. Nice size rack of ribs, saucey spicy bbq, tortillas to soak up the flavor and side potatoes plus cannot forget about the wet wipes. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch fried ice cream is a monster of a dessert. Softball sized scoop, crunchy Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, whipped cream and chocolate syrup/caramel streaks. Definitely shareable. Overall it was a straightforward visit and the view is nice next to the lake at Hula Hut. Our staff was nice and our server Violet was great. My only issues why I did not make it a 5 star were really small things that I was attentive to: *Though we had our silverware and drinks, when the appetizer came out, there were no plates even when given the chips and salsa at the table and had to ask one of the food runners. *My ribs were good and the portion great but when I think of ribs, I would think of some tenderness to the meat and a little bit of fall of the bone action. I found the ribs to be overcooked in some where the meat felt a bit tough. And I would run my fork through the rib meat to check the tenderness and it did give me some push back. Definitely cooked through nonetheless but maybe a little too long. The potatoes were an interesting take too. Definitely different versus fries so it kind of surprised me to have these instead of the traditional take.

I've spent my life chasing the perfect crust, comparing everything from the legendary pie shops in Manhattan to the pristine corner slices in Pittsburgh. I didn't think Austin could pull off truly authentic pizza. I was dead wrong. Baldinucci is absolute sorcery. The moment I took a bite of their Roman-style pizza, I was instantly thrown back to the tiny, narrow pizzerias I stumbled into in Italy. It has that exact, hyper-specific airy crunch that is so incredibly hard to replicate outside of Europe. The dough is clearly fermented with patience. It's light, shatteringly crisp on the bottom, and has those beautiful, irregular air pockets that give it a pillowy structure without ever feeling heavy. Let's talk about the sauce, because that's where most places fail. It isn't that sugary, paste-heavy stuff you find at standard joints. It is vibrant, bright, and tastes intensely of sun-ripened tomatoes and clean olive oil. It is remarkably fresco; striking that perfect balance where the acidity cuts through the richness of the cheese without overwhelming the palate. The vibe inside the West Lake spot is casual and unpretentious, but they take their craft seriously. Food service is streamlined and efficient; you order at the counter, and they pop the slices back into the oven so they land at your table screaming hot. The staff is genuinely proud of what they're slinging, and they should be. If you are an East Coast transplant drowning in a sea of mediocre pies, do yourself a favor and get over to West Lake. It's the real deal. PS: The gelato flavors are also sorcery. However, a review of their gelato is for another time. I must continue to savor the pie for now.

They also serve calzones, New York-style pizza, gelato and wine, so there's truly something for everyone. The pizza is priced by the slice, which makes it easy to mix and match like I did, though you can also order a full pie. I will say this definitely isn't cheap pizza, but you're absolutely paying for quality ingredients and incredible flavor.
