Overall disappointing experience here with a large party. You order via QR codes on the tables. Each table has its own so if you are a bigger group just pay attention to which one you scan. Food generally comes pretty quickly. Drinks took a while. The food tasted pretty good all around, nothing mind blowing but also no complaints around the entire table on their meals other than the side of chips that comes with some of the meals being only like 6 total chips. However, several other issues are driving my review down. First, issues with the ordering and billing. Two of our drinks ordered early on never arrived until we asked about them and then they were made and delivered. Then, a random drink we didn't order showed up at the table. Then, several things we ordered via the QR code were actually out of stock and not available. This should be adjusted on the website in real time so you can't order them, but whatever, I know things run out quickly and they are busy. Here's what really annoyed me... they said they'd remove it from the bill. They didn't. We were in a rush to leave (more on that later) so I ended up noticing 2 days later when I looked at the email receipt that I was charged for 13 shots, when they only had enough for 4. That's an extra $81 for anyone tallying at home. Plus a couple beers that they were out of too. My fault for not catching up front, but feels very disingenuous when they specifically said they'd remove the charges for us. Finally, one person at our table wasn't feeling very well and got sick at the table. Most of it was contained and any that wasn't, was largely wiped up by our party. It did not disturb other guests as there were none very near to us. We immediately took that person toward the exit and called a ride. While this was happening, someone came out from behind the bar and started screaming profanity at us, saying "get the ** out", etc.. Completely unprofessional and unnecessary especially for the person who was already obviously embarrassed. Look, I wouldn't want people getting sick in my bar either, but it comes with the territory a bit, we did our best to contain/clean it, and that person was immediately leaving. Should the person have gone to the bathroom or outside when they could feel it coming? Probably. But there was absolutely no need for the profanity riddled rant. Someone said it may have actually been the owner berating us - but I don't know that for sure. We just spent hundreds of dollars here, maybe cut us a break. Often, when I dont have a good experience at a restaurant, I try to give them grace and visit multiple times before coming to a conclusion and unfortunately, I've done that with Industry and my 1 star still stands. I've visited Industry and three different occassions and the overall theme, is overcharged/mid service (and no, I dont mean a subjective overpriced but rather actually overcharged). The first time I came to Industry, I stumbled across it when another plan failed. I ordered a bloody mary & chiliqueles, and while the chilaquiles were fine, the bloody mary never showed. After waiting 30m (during a time they were not at all busy), I had to flag someone down to ask for a refund. The second time, I came with my partner and he was charged regular price despite it being happy hour. The third we went was to view a world cup game. I understand that they were slammed in a way that they werent anticipating so I completely understand why it took so long to get drinks and food but what I cant overlook is the fact that they mistook my order multiple times in ways that benefited the business. They uncharged me multiple times for drinks and although I ordered items off their all day happy hour menu for ladies (as was their special for the day), I was given items not from that menu and charged full price. Several members of the group that I was with experienced issues with their orders. I encourage people to experience Industry for themselves and make their own judgements. Absolutely loved the wings. It's a casual spot in a great location. The menu ranged from tacos, burgers, sandwiches, nachos, wings, fries and side dishes. The menu stated the wings were #2 in Austin, so I had to give them a try. The smoke fried wings were incredible. The flavors were excellent, and they were crispy. I also had the macaroni and cheese, which I enjoyed. I ordered the sangria, but it was too sweet, so I ordered the old fashioned. My husband and I stopped at Industry when out on our EBike ride. We parked our bike and walked in. It was very loud as they had a live DJ playing. We looked at the menu and placed our order at the counter and got a number. The restaurant has a lot of seating, a good size bar, and an outdoor space with seating. We chose to sit inside with a view out the back. At the time we went they were having a crawfish special. Not sure if that was a limited time but it was an option that day. My husband and I got our food in stages as it was prepared. The people that brought it to our table were friendly. For a starter we ordered the chips and green chili queso. It was just okay. The chips were thin and crispy but tasted a little stale. The queso was kind of bland. For our meal we shared the Brisket Pastrami Sandwich which comes with dijon mustard, pickles, swiss cheese, bacon, onion jam, and brisket Ju. It was good. The pickles were put on the side but I added them to my sandwich. They were crisp and sweet. The sandwich could have used a little more meat but it was good. Our sandwich came with potato chips. They were crispy. We also shared the Beefcakes which is buttermilk pancakes with brisket, bacon, and berry compote. The syrup is on the side. This was the star of our meal. The pancakes were fluffy and the brisket was good. I just wish there was more of it. The bacon was chewy but it was okay. The compote was really good. The flavor of all of the ingredients combined made for a salty and sweet mix. I tried a small amount with the syrup which added to the sweetness but this meal really didn't need the syrup. Went here for the first time on a Sunday and it was poppin! Live music, which was great. The seating situation is a little confusing for it being our first time and had to find a server to figure out how the process works but you order at the counter (or table) and then find any open table. We had to kind of buss our own table and although I know it was busy, it just seemed a little disorganized and hence the loss of stars. Drink wise, they weren't our favorite cocktails but that's fine. Food wise, we ordered the breakfast burrito which was delicious, along with the pancakes and Smashburger. All great. read more

Industry never disappoints! We've been here multiple times and it's become our go-to spot for a great vibe and even better beer. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area, and the indoor setup with long tables and benches makes it perfect for big groups. The service is always top-notch. This visit, for appetizers we ordered, the Industry Nachos, Crispy Cotija Fries, and the Green Chile Queso and for mains, the Roasted Veggie Sando is a fantastic vegetarian option, and the Industry CFC was delicious. As beer lovers, their draft selection is why we keep coming back. In our recent visit, We enjoyed the Jester King Sasha Hazy IPA, Altstadt Bock, and Live Oak Hefeweizen--all incredibly refreshing. I like this spot a lot! I went for a Yelp event and have been back a couple times since, so they really earned my business. Hearing the owner talk about his philosophy on tipping was fantastic, which really got my buy in. Service fees are included so no additional tips are required in order to make sure your service person makes a living wage. Love it. Not just because math is hard. They have a great selection of bourbon, which is fun to explore. They also make a tasty espresso martini as it should be made. One of our friends had a carajillo which is less common but equally tasty. The food selection is diverse, but I wish they served breakfast all day. I would go too much if they did, so I guess that's good they don't. I really like the bowl with quinoa and various veggies. It was such a delightful cocktail to sip on while sitting outside and people watching. Industry burger was really good, I appreciate the fact that there's no tomato's in it. I pretty much didn't have to ask to skip them, yay! My only complain is potato chips on the side instead of fries, pretty odd choice. Maybe would make sense to have it as an option between chips and fries. Texas Fish Fry, felt like a play on fish and chips, which was a very solid dish with a nice balanced of flavors and contrast of textures. The service was great. Sunday brunch Galentine's event at Industry! Shout out to my girl, Christine at Brunch Loud for hosting her very first Gal's brunch! We had a time and I am looking forward to next month's event in Austin! Now back to Industry This was my first time here and I've had it bookmarked for a while. I had a few mimosas, They have so many flavors for you to choose from. I like cranberry and pineapple! The bartender was super nice and the service was prompt. Y'all already know, I was hungry!! So of course everything looked good on the menu but I definitely wanted to try the biscuit and then I needed some protein so I ordered an à la carte egg and bacon. Everything was delicious. Those biscuits are something special and I want that recipe. Y'all... that bacon is so good. You gotta get you some!!! Anywho, I was there from 11:00 a.m. till probably 3:00 p.m. And this was mostly for my girlfriend's event. She had a live band called Hello Chaser, They were so good and fun and really engaged with the crowd. Come here for a solid "keep Austin weird" vibe complimented by games and insanely tall ceilings in this rustic and wooden burger spot! Hands down the brussel sprouts was the best appetizer - the crunch from the brussel sprouts and candied pecans and the Dijon bourbon glaze went together so well. Easily a top 10 appetizer for me, will always get this. The nachos with brisket are as they sound - with a good portioning of brisket and everything you need in a nacho platter. The industry burger had a wagyu patty and bacon/onion jam which made the sandwich absolutely delicious for me. I'm a sucker for jam-based hamburgers. It was already falling apart while eating it so the meat wasn't smashed together too well taste wise I'll give it like a five out of 10. I can't believe it didn't come with fries considering it's $20 and they put a 20% tip included regardless, which is good for you to know that before going service wise I wouldn't say it was bad but didn't get any smiles either just mediocre emotionless workers. I've been to Industry a few times, some of the most recent for the Yelp Elite event and another time after that on my own. I love their poblano mac and cheese; it's the GOAT (but not made with goat cheese, thankfully, that ruins mac and cheese imo). The portion size is decent but not oversized. More importantly the mac and cheese is creamy, dreamy, and perfectly salty and savory. The deep fried poblano peppers on top add the right profile, a subtle sweetness and crispiness that takes it over the top. In addition their Brussels sprouts are delicious as well. When it comes to getting hearty brunch, a few locals recommended Industry, and to my delight, it's quite a nice, lively place. The Brunch Bowl is where it's at, too. This is a playful, delicious mix of soft and crunchy texture from the field greens and seasoned tots, coupled with smooth and tangy flavors from the poblano cream that's accentuated by the garlic rice. There is a lot going on here and it works quite well. If anything, I'd do less with the poblano so the other flavors would stand out a bit more. Really thankful that I got to try their pastrami sandwich that was featured on DDD. Now let's get into the review, between my friend and I, we tried the Pastrami Sandwich, Cotija Fries, and the Brisket Tacos. For the pastrami sandwich, it was flavorful, until I added the sauce that came on the side. It wasn't clear what the sauce was (I thought it was either soy sauce or a kind of sweet sauce), but when I dipped the sandwich in it, sure the sandwich was easier to eat, but all the flavor from the sandwich (the butteriness of the toast, the meat, the cheese) was strangely diluted such that I couldn't taste the sandwich (which on its own was great) after adding the sauce. For the cotija fries, they were pretty standard thick cut fries, but I couldn't taste the cotija, even on the cheesiest fry, the cheese added almost nothing to it flavor-wise. Lastly, I didn't try the tacos, but my friend said that she thoroughly enjoyed them. The atmosphere of the place is very much a place where coworkers would hang out or the kind of place that corporate offices go to for a team get-together, but mixed with a bar. The place was pretty loud both because of people and the music playing and it seemed like a fun place with the amount of local events they're hosting. I can't say that I would return to this place, but I am grateful to have tried it. read more

This is a review based on a take-out order. I got the Smoked Brisket Pastrami sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches I've eaten! I skipped using the brisket au jus cause it was delicious already (and to be honest i forgot it was in there till the end - so i tried it and it didn't add anything to the flavor. The texas bread is so soft and the 10 day brined brisket was so tender and flavorful with the Dijon and bacon jam. The price is steep at $18, but I had a gift card and am so glad I picked this! It came with potato chips which seemed very fresh and possibly made in house. I also took advantage of Mescal Monday she got a margarita to go!! In regards to service. When I walked up to the counter a nice young lady rushed over to help. She said "you must be Kevin" cause it was 4:30p and I had the only pickup order. My food was ready before the expected ready time too!! I wish they had a customer service 15 minute parking spot in front, for pickup orders, but that's nothing against the restaurant. There was plenty of parking on the street and you just have to be quick. On another day i ordered the blueberry habanero wings! First of all, i feel they are definitely worth the $12 (for 6). Great find for food and drinks! I tried the Pastrami Sandwich and the Mac & cheese and they are award winning for a reason! I will dream about this sandwich daily moving forward, the flavors of the meat and cheese combined with the salty brisket jus were to die for. The Mac and cheese also had a beautiful flavor from the chives with a hint of spice, and was the perfect consistency, not caked in creamy sauce but just right. Since I went for lunch I didn't try the drinks but they had a suite of coffee options and alcoholic bevs as well. Great Monday specials for $7 margs if you're into that. Mezcal Margarita ($7 on Mondays): We were worried it might be watered down, but it was actually really good - strong and didn't taste like bottom shelf at all. Texas Fish Fry ($18): Cornmeal-fried Texas catfish, fries, house tartar sauce, and chimichurri. The piece of fish was huge and delicious, though the crust was pretty salty--definitely something to wash down with your drink. We swapped the regular fries for sweet potato fries, which were solid. Brisket Tacos ($15 for 3): House salsa, avocado crema, cilantro, fried onion, flour tortillas. The tacos were just okay. The brisket came cubed, which probably wasn't the best choice for tacos. Each component tasted good on its own, but they didn't come together as a cohesive bite. The chips and salsa were good. Pork Belly Bites ($11.50): House black BBQ sauce, sesame seeds, fried kale, and green onion. A little dry and slightly overcooked, but still tasty. Loved the fried kale. Crispy Brussels Sprouts ($9): Dijon bourbon glaze, green onion, and candied pecans. Not crispy, but they were well-seasoned. 4 Grilled Shrimps ($5): Basic but juicy. A friend had a birthday get together here as a casual outing, and I have to say it's a pretty great spot for a large group of people. The space is large with long tables with benches, the menu is accessible via QR code and you can order and pay without having to wait for a server. The food was decent, depending on what you get. I ordered the burger, and it was pretty decent. The burger patty was a little thinner than I expected but it wasn't bad at all. I just feel like with a thinner patty, it should be a smash burger and be a bit crispy, but it definitely wasn't that style. It came with a small handful of chips, which weren't really noteworthy. I also ordered the chili since the weather called for it. It was solid but not spectacular. It had a little spice to it, or maybe it was the jalapenos I added on to it. So I tried Industry for their brunch. Bottomless mimosas for 20. When I walked in, there was a live band playing, it was as abnormally loud. Not like a comfortable loud. So it was a bit difficult in having the only option to sit right in front of stage. It's like I had to yell to speak to my friends. But once the band left and it was the dj, the music sound was more tolerable. With not being too high. As for the Sundays, you can not order anything else but the brunch menu until 3:00pm. The service itself was quick and efficient to bring out the food. Unfortunately, for drink refills you had to walk back up to the bar for each time. There were servers but they came around every now and then. Additionally, I saw they had crawfish and shrimp outside, I'm not sure if that's a normal thing. Back to the bottomless mimosas, they do have a cut off time to grab that deal. As my other friend came in after 3pm, she was unable to get it. But the menu just says Sunday funday without a cut off time. Another friend and I were able to get the bottomless deal but our friends who came later were not. The food was mediocre at best - flavorless queso, an unremarkable blackened catfish dish I could've prepared at home, and a basic fried chicken sandwich. Underwhelming. They had a DJ start blasting extremely loud music at around 9pm! Felt more like a club than a restaurant at that point. We couldn't hear our friends or have a conversation because of how loud the music was. 20% gratuity automatically included - I am typically all for this, but this is a counter service restaurant so I thought 20% was a bit excessive. Through open table I had to give a cc# so if we skipped the reservation I would be charged $5/person. We were not greeted, no reservation sign on any tables, no directions offered. We ordered through a QR code and our food began coming out though none of our sodas had come out. They dont bring silverware with your salad nor inform you of where to get your silverware.
