I also love the art pieces scattered throughout the shop, giving it a whimsical feel. I truly couldn't pick a favorite.. but gun to my head? I loved the hand knitted frogs. Whether you're an experienced knitter or just looking to breathe in all the crafty air, this is a great place to spend your weekend. Needles and Hooks was just a nice as the last time I went. The yarn here is more expensive than a Michaels but most if not all yarn will have natural fibers. The person who helped me out is really nice and helped verify my yarn color choices. If you buy a hank of yarn, they'll offer to cake it. I've taken the offer before and it turns out nice. I didn't during this visit. There is a decent amount of people who come to knit on Thursdays but I was there to shop. Shopping during that hour is a bit less popular since people are crafting. Parking is great and I will still mourn the fact they had to move inside the mall from their spot outside with a nice window.

Their selection of yarn is extensive and very organized; Juni and Si was holding a trunk show while I was there. They have a variety of both local and famous yarn (ie Madtosh, Malabrigo, Berroco), and most of all, their staff is the sweetest bunch. But, but! The thing I loved most is the sheer number of needles and notions they carry: both singular sizes and also full sets from different vendors (Lykke, Chiaogoo, KP). You can spend hours here brainstorming a project and buying everything you need to start swatching. I bought some cute pine cone stitch markers, a skein from Juni and Si for some socks and an Addi needle (with which I'm already in love with and off to the races on a new project). Oh my goodness goodness gracious! This place is truly a quilter's paradise. I had never even heard…read moreof it before, but was passing through Snohomish recently and, of course, my car swerved into their parking lot as soon as I passed by. Downstairs, the place is about half fabric and half classrooms of various sizes. The fabric area is mainly quilting cottons, with a decent selection of patterns, and a recently-updated yarn area for the knitting and crochet crowd. They carry most of the main fabric designers for quilting, as well as batiks, holiday prints, and tons of solids and mixers. Accessories include any ruler, tool, or notion you could possibly need for quilting; plus they have sewing-inspired gifts, too. Upstairs, there are more classrooms (including a pay by the hour longarm rental room) and a large Bernina showroom. This area also has more patterns, as well as bagmaking supplies. The supply selection here is pretty good - lots of zippers, d-rings, etc. However, as with most things bagmaking, there just didn't seem to be enough stuff to satisfy my cravings for things like printed vinyl, waterproof canvas, rainbow zippers, etc. The sad truth for bagmakers is that it's hard to find a local option to shop these things; I end up buying most of my supplies online or at the Sew Expo. That being said, if you're a beginning bagmaker I'm sure you would find their supplies more than adequate. The staff I encountered were friendly and helpful, too - I was a little nervous about this after reading previous reviews, but I had no issues with service. I ended up buying a quilt pattern book and a really cool fabric-focused wall calendar that I can't wait to start using in January. I'll definitely be coming back here, and I hope to take a class or two in 2025.

It's a great place to visit on a cold rainy day. There's a wonderful selection of high quality yarns in a wide array of textures, colors, patterns, and weights, and they have an excellent variety of wool roving colors. They have lots of cute notions (like buttons, clasps, pom-poms) and tools; they even have a little capsule vending machine with an assortment of cute handmade stitch markers. There's also a good selection of patterns. The shop has regular community crochet/knit and spinning get togethers, help sessions, crochet/knit-alongs, and classes; the classes and seminars are also very well priced.
