I went to dinner there last Friday night. We were really excited to try the new place in town! The service and ambiance was good, but the food was not! The food upon taste just seemed ordinary, unflavored and just bad. But the worst part didn't come until I got home and in the middle of the night realized I got food poisoning. I was violently sick for the next 24 hrs. I called the restaurant the following night to let a manager know so that they might prevent that experience for another guest. There was no manager available to speak with me. The host Briana asked why I was calling and I told her food poisoning and left a message. I still haven't heard back from the management. At first sight I was so excited to finally try the place. The decor is inviting and simple, creating a chill atmosphere. The view of the pool area was a plus. The staff at the bar we're welcoming and very prompt. The margarita I had was refreshing and very well made. They had a good beer selection and satisfied our thirst all around. Sadly...the same can't be said for the food. We were thrilled that the restaurant was a participant of the Miami spice movement but disappointed when some of the food arrived. The items from the Miami spice menu clearly received loved and attention and this was clear we ate them...nonetheless a member of our party ventured outside this menu, big mistake. The spinach side was salty and clearly overdone by their rather dark appearance. The "curry potatoes" also had gotten a bit too much fire and obviously over toasted...the curry must've evaporated in the process. My husband and I have been watching The East hotel rise from the ground. Now that they have opened, we decided to take a look around. Quinta La Heuella was a shimmering surprise. The menu is small but each item is interesting and prepared beautifully. The langoustine with spinach and curried potatoes which was rich but not heavy. And the onion tart with goat cheese was absolutely to die for. We can't wait to go back to sample other items on the menu. I had dinner with a group of six on 5/13/17 and all of us were very disappointed. We arrived early and got seated immediately and it went down hill from there. The server hustled us to take a drink order, put the order in and hustled us again for the dinner order. We barely got the drinks and dinner was being served to us. My boyfriend and I had a great time at Quinto la Huella. It had a laid back rustic feel. The food was great. We had the the grilled provolone, octopus and the snapper. The grilled provolone and octopus were delicious! Small plates but very flavorful. The snapper was cooked great too except the scales were still on the skin of the fish. With such a nice restaurant like this, it was disappointing that they didn't take off the scales completely. Other than that, the waitstaff was friendly and drinks were delicious. I came to Quinto for dinner with some friends and had an amazing experience! The restaurant is unique, modern and beautifully decorated. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and made great cocktail recommendations. The food was outstanding! The pulpo a la plancha was grilled to perfection. The white pizza, which, I am not generally particularly fond of was surprisingly flavorful and exciting, and I will definitely be ordering that again. Even the dulce de leche and lemon desserts were delicious and satisfying. At the end of the night, the Uruguayan manager with the British accent took us on a tour of the restaurant and showed us the impressive parrilla. I went with a party of 6. We all ordered food and a few rounds of drinks. One guy in our party ordered a cranberry vodka that was he was NEVER given. The waiter brought it along with other drinks to the table but never set it down then quickly took off. When the bill came the cranberry vodka was on the bill. When my friend told the waiter hey you never actually gave me the cranberry vodka can you please take it off the bill. Instead of believing him.... not kidding the waiter said he was going to go watch video tape to verify LOL. He came back after of 10 minutes of him watching tape back and apologized. Okay, I have a back story. I went to Quinto 2 weeks ago and had a terrible experience. Everything was either no cooked correctly, cold or the wrong thing. I sent most of the dishes back. I had a business dinner scheduled and someone already made reservations at Quinto so I had to go. I'm glad I got a second change because my second time there was like night and day. We ordered ribeye (cooked as ordered), two salads, octopus, various sushi rolls, desserts, and ravioli. Everything this time was delicious. The desserts were so good too! I also had fantastic service by Pablo D., so if you're planning on going there, request him to be your server. The Director of the restaurant, Gimena also came by and thanked us for coming and sent a few dishes comped from the chef. Since it's a fairly new restaurant, I think they're working out the kinks. I will recommend this place to others and I'm glad I gave them a second chance to win my love back. read more

The service was not as expected, we ordered a prosecco to relax and the waiter was really pushing us to make our orders quickly . First my friend had an amazing margarita and i had a Cosmo, delicious! (We also tried the caipiroshkas as is their signature drink, but didnt like the glass, too small, so we continuing drinking amazing margaritas) Thanks Gracie !!!! Now, the food !! Let me tell you, the Grilled Octopus is one of the best i've had, the pizza Bianca took a long time but still delicious, the grilled vegetables amazing! the only bad thing that i have to say is that the breath taking dulce de leche volcano its not big enough! I'll recommend this Restaurant to all my friends and clients. We really needed a Restaurant with this simple yet delicious food! Beautiful crowd, and good service. Although you might say that I should be more lenient as they just opened, but come on in our day and time you have to open with all of it figured out. The service was ok, at first when it was empty the waitress was very attentive but as it got busy she didn't bother to inquire if we were having a good time and enjoying or meal. Quinto la Huella is a fantastic spot to eat downtown. The service and food is all top-notch. However, the main attraction is the vibe and atmosphere, which is super sleek and contemporary. For food, we ordered the kale salad, fish tartare, and calamari. The tartare was excellent, however the calamari and kale salad were slightly un-innovative and typical. For main course, we ordered the steak and langoustine--both were delicious and well-portioned. I also recommend getting the grilled vegetables for your side dish; note: this isn't your typical grilled vegetables...they deliciously roast the vegetables and utilize the full length of the carrots, beets, etc. Lastly, for dessert, we ordered the dulce de leche cake which was divine, with the Spanish caramel oozing out of the cake. Decided to try this place out for my birthday and was not as pleased with my experience as i thought i would be. Upon arrival we checked in and after 15mins the hostess brought us to our table which was outside on one of the coldest nights in south fl. (We had a reservation and didn't understand why they did not reserve a table for us inside but decided to throw it together last min outside.) Eventually after sitting outside for 20mins we were moved inside to a cramped table in the corner too small for 8ppl. We were sent a complimentary appetizer (some sort of ceviche w/chips) which was an appreciated gesture. Although uncomfortable in our sits we preceded with dinner which consisted of pulpo a la plancha, which was delicious. The octopus was very tender and tasty and was accompanied by two pieces of well seasoned potatoes. We also tried the burrata which was ok, nothing really special, and lastly we had the tuna crudo which was pretty good. I had the capi maracuya which was very tasty. For desert i was sent a chocolate lava cake of some sort which was good, again not great. Over all the food was good, and the server could have been more attentive.
