What an amazing evening at Mastro's! Not only was the food top notch the service was immaculate. We were served by Gina and she was so sweet and attentive and took care of me all night. We started the night with amazing cocktails made by Julio behind the bar. This is my third time to this location and his drinks are always so good. The perfect balance of flavor, sweetness and alcohol. The food was perfect. I think these were the best Calamari's I had in a long time. The lemon and the sauce sizzle on top was absolutely delicious. The shrimp cocktail was filling too. It was huge. The best part was the dessert! The butter cake and the chocolate cake were exquisite! It made the night even better. The cherry on top was when the manager, Nick, came by to say hi. He's super attentive and it was a pleasure to chat with him. Came here for my sister's birthday a couple weeks ago and had such a great experience! The energy was super lively and fun and the views were great. I had the scallops as my main course which I liked but I found to be a bit too salty and too buttery. Otherwise, everything else we ate was great. We also had the filet which was cooked perfectly. Quite possibly Miami's best-kept secret. Then again, judging by how many people seem to have discovered it, perhaps "best-kept" is no longer accurate. Having dined at Mastro's in Las Vegas several times, I arrived with high expectations. The Miami location met them with ease. Set along the waterway, the views are mesmerizing. Boats drift by like they're part of the evening's entertainment, providing a spectacle that competes admirably with what's on the plate. The restaurant itself is beautiful, polished, and effortlessly inviting. Service was exceptional. The staff struck that perfect balance of attentiveness without hovering. We enjoyed prime rib and cocktails, both outstanding, delivered with warmth, professionalism, and the increasingly rare art of making guests feel genuinely welcome. Our go to neighborhood steakhouse. Great bar , great pours ! You can never go wrong with the Mastros salad . I remove onions and add a side of blue cheese dressing ! We invited friends who just moved here to introduce them to one of our fave places . We all enjoyed dinner , the new bread basket , seafood, steaks and especially their homemade sauces ! Dessert is a must , as their butter cake is the best ! Ambience is always great. Most beautiful bar, live music, indoor outdoor seating and dining room and a high top bar area. Believe it or not we prefer to sit at the high top tables in between indoor and outdoor seating to watch the boats go by , as well as listen to the great singers. The service is top notch. We love Michelle. She is great tonight we had Joanne as she was great , as well. She went above and beyond to actually show me the cut of Steak, but I would be getting as I've had issues in the past. My steak was perfect tonight! Mastros has the best Bernaise sauce out there, so even if you don't think you like it, you have to order theirs and put it on and whatever you're eating will it be your Takeaway or vegetable because it will change your mind ! I enjoyed a pleasant dinner here Sunday evening last week. The atmosphere was quite scenic overlooking the entrance upstream the Miami River. It was quite relaxing seeing the ships go by. The food was good. I started with the crab cake appetizer. For my entree I had the petite filet Mignon with the peppercorn sauce and a loaded baked potato. Wonderful time at Mastro's celebrating my birthday! From the first impression entering Mastro's it's a very beautiful entrance with black marble and a dedicated elevator to take you up. Upon checking in, Nick (I believe the manager) personally welcomed us and assured us he had a nice table for us available with a good view (although inside). My party and I really loved seeing a happy birthday message personally printed on the menu for me - what a nice touch! Christie warmly greeted us and oriented us to the menu. There was a large selection of wines to choose from, both by the glass and bottle. The bread service was delicious - a huge variety that were served warm and very tasty. Standouts for me were the pumpernickel and toasted cheese bread. Most of our party opted for the Miami Spice menu. I had the lobster bisque, which was a slight upgrade but totally worth it. It was decision creamy and had a very generous portion of lobster. I had the filet for my entree, as did most of our party, and we all thought it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked and very flavorful - one of my friends has a good understanding and experience with grilling meats and was very impressed by how perfectly cooked it was. For sides, Christie recommended their lobster mashed potato as it's their most popular and we had absolutely no regrets trying it - so delicious! After such a delicious first two entrees, I realized a lighter dessert might be easier and Christie was kind to let me change my choice from the cake to the sorbet, which was refreshing and light. For my birthday, they added a little candle to my dessert, which also nice touch. I will say, there were a few hiccups here and there that seemed to mainly be a product of how busy the restaurant was. For instance, they got a bit mixed up on whether the wine we wanted was actually available or not. Also, my friend and I requested purse hooks and it took a little reminding to get them over to us. However, I wouldn't discount the experience for this since they did handle any challenges fairly well. Nick came over to personally tell us he found the sparkling wine we originally requested. Also, Christie was very apologetic for any delays and mentioned the restaurant is particularly hectic during Miami Spice. We were particularly impressed with Nick's attention to service and guest experience and could tell he takes pride in providing a memorable dining experience for guests. As we were leaving, we were amazed to see the music we were listening to was live! We commented during our meal how much we loved the unique jazz renditions of popular pop songs. It was amazing to see it was live since the audio was so clear and professional! With so many options in the area, I did originally go back-and-forth about what would be the best place to celebrate my birthday but I don't have any regrets after having such a great time at Mastro's and will definitely be back for another wonderful meal. read more

The birthday dessert was good only the butter cake 10/10 but they didn't pack up my icecream which had me mad since i only had two bites because they took forever. The filet i asked for medium well that thing came back medium. Service took forever. Place cute and dressy. They put happy birthday in menu if it's your birthday. I'm not sure what took me so long to write this review. I visited Mastro's as a solo diner to celebrate my birthday (by yourself girl? Yes by myself). Since I was alone I was able to sit at the bar. The bartenders took great care of me and celebrated me and made me feel special. First, I had no clue what type of drink I wanted but I gave the bartender (who was actually more of a mixologist) some key ingredients i wanted and he took it from there. My drink ended up being a surprise and delight with a whole dry ice situation. Very nice! Next, I was attempting to not order the same ole same ole but i kind of did with an order of salmon. They have different preparations that you can have. It was suggested that I try the pan fried variety. This is cliche, but chefs kiss! My dinner was completed with a yummy dessert. The ambiance is very sexy, date vibe. If you have never been to Mastro's it is a high end steak house so please dress the part or you will be turned away at the door. We were visiting family in downtown Miami and were able to secure a prime reservation. Noting - **there is a dress code** Flip flops are not allowed! A quick fix and we were on our way! Love music greeted us as we made our way up the stunning black marble staircase. The bar is a scene to be seen! The maître d' chose the perfect table located just inside the restaurant but with the BEST views of the mighty Miami River. Just like the city, this river is flourishing with activity from tankers to spectacular yachts and booze cruises - the view was spectacular. Our wait staff team was amazing! Mo and his work partner Carlos took incredible care of our family esp our 9 yo. Mastro's offer one of the BEST sparking roses, Ferrari - and I was in Heaven! The expresso martinis were delicious! Our table enjoyed the tuna tartar, a Cesar salad (Devine) and a Mastro salad to start. Our main courses included mahi mahi, filet mignon and prime rib accompanied with creamed corn and mashed potatoes. It was a perfect evening from start to finish and we will be back. Just consistently a great classic steakhouse experience. Good service that is attentive without being overbearing. The classic steakhouse dishes that are presented well and portions are sizable (beware if sharing fries for only 2!). A great dirty martini and a beautiful view of the water with live music on a Saturday night. Their bone in ribeye was perfectly cooked and salted, served on a piping hot platter with hot plates provided as it should be. Nothing more frustrating than places serving their "specialty steaks" on cold serving ware with ice cold plates to boot (looking at you, Delilah...). Can't go wrong with this place and all the standards though I was a little less enthused by the Mastro's salad which IMHO was an overdressed version of a chopped wedge with blue cheese dressing chopped into small pieces with a random addition of shrimp. The tuna tartare app is one of my favorites. Either way - when you're done with the pomp and circumstance falsehoods of the miami dining scene and want good food with great service and a quiet place to have an enjoyable dinner with your loved ones, this is a great place for it. read more

This place is absolutely spectacular! As soon as you arrive you know you're in for an extremely upscale experience! I went on a Thursday evening and almost as soon as you walked in they had a live singer who sang absolutely beautifully. The host was super nice and helped me find my party. We were a large group of 10+ people and we had an absolutely fantastic waiter. We ordered the seafood tower, which was a beautiful presentation. It came with an assortment of seafood (clams, lobster, mussels, etc.). It's pretty big, so it's excellent to share if you had a large party like we did. For my main course I ordered the filet mignon. The table ordered a bunch of sides, as they all come family style, so it's great for sharing. My filet mignon was cooked and seasoned to perfection. For the sides, I tried the spinach, corn and the mac n cheese. The corn had a really good spice kick to it and the mac n cheese was cheesy and gooey (in the best way possible). For dessert we had this carrot cake (I think) and it was the best cake I've ever had in my life! It was so good that our table ordered a second serving of it because we all wanted seconds. The bottom of the cake was nice and buttery and the cake itself was the perfect amount of sweet. This is a beautiful place and perfect for an upscale dinner date or birthday dinner. read more

The strands in your mouth would give you an experience you're not eating fish... you are eating steak as well. Both the bone in rib eye and Chilean sea bass melted in your mouth! The dreamy Spinach was genuinely creamy. The cheesecake was perfect. Sweet at first, but gets addicting after. :) the graham cracker crust was tight, not dry, just the right seeetness and moistness All were yummy. The view was very Miami as what I haven watched on TV. When I come back, I shall dine here again. We have been to Beverly Hills, Newport Beach, Malibu, Sherman Oaks, etc. Malibu and Miami have amazing water views. Located in the heart of downtown Miami, this location had an incredible view of the bay. Upon entering both the doorman and hostess were friendly and helped usher you into the right spot. Right when you get off the elevator, a live piano player was playing to the right and a classy bar located on the left. The ambiance is elevated, dim lights, elegant. The menu had a lot of options, quite robust, from steaks to seafood as well as sushi. I tried the hamachi with ponzu and kaffir lime, a clear lobster roll, and the king crab roll. The hamachi was zesty and fresh with what I felt a unique twist (kaffir lime) with some crushed salt. The clear lobster roll was my favorite, while I didn't really taste the king crab in my last roll. It also had cream cheese, which I wish they put on the menu as it's not something I can easily digest, nor necessarily like. I wouldn't order that roll again. This is an upscale restaurant with prices to match. I would recommend and return. read more

Let me start off by saying that as far as location goes, this is one of the best Mastro's I've been to. Dining on the patio overlooking the water made for a great ambiance, and the live music was outstanding. The food was also very good as per usual with Mastro's. What left me leaving disappointed was the service. The staff was very quick to remove plates from our table before we were fully done, even a beer was removed with a few sips remaining. Then the part that really threw the whole night for me was the check, as they would not split the check for our table. The manager told me they couldn't do it, which I can't stand that response because I've worked with plenty of restaurant POS in my line of work and have never seen one that couldn't do it, not to mention other locations have no problem doing this for us. I recognize it's asking extra of the staff, but my company expense guidelines are strict and it saves me a lot of headache if they can do this for us. At the end of the day, this Mastro's did deliver on expectations of food quality and ambiance, which means most people will probably have a great time here. Unfortunately, my experience with the manager left me feeling embarrassed in front of my colleagues that I spent the whole night raving about how much I love Mastro's based on my experiences at other locations across the US. read more

It's rare for me to find a steak I feel is worth the money at an upscale steakhouse like this is but this one met the mark. Mastro's Ocean Club delivered an absolutely unforgettable experience last night as we celebrated my son's birthday with a party of nine. From the moment we arrived, everything felt just right. We got there a bit early and were seated at the bar, where both bartenders took incredible care of us -- super friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and spot-on with their wine recommendations. We selected a bottle that was later transferred seamlessly to our table, which set the tone for the rest of the evening. Once seated, our server Tyler and his entire team were exceptional. Attentive, professional, and genuinely warm without being overbearing. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish -- every dish lived up to the hype. We were there for about two and a half hours and ended up being the last table in the restaurant, yet we never once felt rushed or uncomfortable. That kind of hospitality makes a huge difference, especially for a meaningful celebration like this one. It was a beautiful dinner honoring my firstborn, and the experience truly matched the moment. I had been to Mastro's City Hall location in Scottsdale about 15 years ago and remembered it being excellent -- I'm happy to say the Miami Ocean Club not only met that expectation, it reaffirmed why Mastro's stands out. We love Mastros and we had to have it while visiting Miami. Now let me tell you it definitely hits different than Mastros in Cali. They have an extended menu with more options here.
