I hope I caught Quinton's on a bad night and nothing more. It's clear they weren't staffed adequately. I walked in to a decently full restaurant and took a seat at the bar. In almost 15 minutes, the bartender didn't look up and around or acknowledge me, despite walking right in front of me multiple times. I finally got his attention and placed an order for a sandwich and drink. 45 minutes later, when I got his attention again he told me there was only one person in the kitchen so they were really behind. Indeed, in the hour I was there I saw only a small number of plates of come out of the kitchen. I had him cancel my sandwich and left, since there was no indication if or when my order would be ready. One way to ruin goodwill with customers is no service or long delays without any communication. All it takes is letting customers know if the kitchen is going that poorly to set expectations and let customers make informed decisions. Unfortunately, that's ultimately what created my poor experience at the Cedar Rapids Quinton's. read more

Everytime I go here I always want to give it a chance. The food is never that good and we have been served cold food multiple times. The service is always very slow and the experience is never worth how quick it is to sit down because you end up waiting on everything else. I ordered a drink and never got it so we had to take it off the bill when we left. read more

Busy Saturday night and only had 1 person working, he was trying to keep up with full bar and dining area. Did not get appetizer that was ordered and billed for. Stopped in on a whim and fell in love. Great beer selection. The staff was friendly and helpful. The ambience is somewhat sports bar, but very comfortable. I liked that they had patio seating overlooking the amphitheater and river. I had the buffalo chicken dip. Spicy and tasty. The chips however were not my favorite. Somewhat thick and stale for nacho chips, but the dip made up for it. I did like that they put shaved parmesan over the chips. The menu had several tasty options including gluten free. Quinton's is a small little sports bar with a small outdoor patio with picnic bench seating. They have 50 beers on tap and have an incredible menu, with options for everyone. I personally had the spicy chicken philly which was incredible. 100% recommend and will be back. read more

Our table was served the wrong beer, waited 20 mins for a mixed drink (with 12 other people in it), was served the end of a loaf of bread, and was brought the wrong thing multiple times. If you are in the mood for Fresh homemade bar food at a great price look no further. Huge fan of How big and updated this place is! We were Quintons Fan from living in North Liberty but Moving North of Cedar Rapids makes it hard to get that way. So we were excited for one to open here. Lynnae took great care of us. As always we order the Poppers. So amazing! Fresh homemade which is the element of surprise sometimes they are spicy sometimes they aren't depends on the Jalapeno. I get the cobb with steak and Chicken added this salad without meat is still a great portion thank you for that! Just a tip the baked potatoes are amazing half order in one full potato and a full order is 2 full potatoes. I was overwhelmed once. read more

This is probably my favorite sandwich place in town. They have all sorts of delicious sandwiches and bread bowls for soup. My favorite sandwich is there T. A. C. Sandwich which has turkey, avocado, and cream cheese on it, along with other toppings. There is a Quinton's Bar & Deli in Iowa City as well as Cedar Rapids that is just as great. I went to Quinton's Bar & Deli with some friends and had a couple beers and some food and we all had a great time. The waitstaff and bartender were very helpful. My whole dining experience was wonderful at Quinton's. Can't wait to go back! :-) read more

Was looking forward to trying an Iowa pork tenderloin sandwich. Not happening for me at this place. Walked in 15 degree temp from my hotel across the river. Walked in and there wasn't a soul in the dining area. 2 men sitting at the bar. And the LOUDEST most god awful music blaring. If you plan to have a conversation, read anything, or would like the ability to be able to think - go elsewhere. It was 11:15! read more

Our food was cold, the fires are half cooked, the cheese curds were extremely hard and rubber. My mom had order a beer cheese soup, it came cold, half way filled and it was just cheese. She had also ordered drunken mac n cheese it was just wet noodles and a little bit of cheese. It was supposed to come with bacon and bread crumb not a lick of any. We had called to tell them our order was messed up they had had a attitud. We aren't even 5 minutes away our food shouldn't have been cold! read more

Right across from the amphitheater. Good atmosphere. Outdoor seating. Good beer and drink selection. Daily specials. Casual place. I enjoyed my dinner and drinks. Our waiter was attentive and courteous. My only reservation for 5 stars is the tenderloin sandwich we had... should not have been served. We are in Iowa and a tenderloin should be significant. Ours looked a little brown indicating overcooked. It was not. But after the first bite you realize this is a very thin piece with an air pocket between the meat and breading. Thinnest tenderloin I ever had. I have no idea if this is normal and hope it is not. I'm not a complainer, so I ate what I was served and reported to you. I would eat here again. After we paid our bill, we see a CC convenience charge. Shame on them. read more

Went there for lunch. It wasn't crowded but a few tables were occupied. It was my first visit and I was very impressed. The menu is massive with great unique choices. I had the smokestack sandwich with fries (which were excellent). The food and service were great. I only gave it three stars as it was very off putting to get the check and see a 4% fee for the privilege of using a credit card. This seems incredibly petty to me. First of all, if the business is paying that high a fee then they need to shop around for a better deal. The prices are a bit high for this community as it is but I think they would be better off adjusting their prices a bit rather than nickel and dime-ing their customers. read more

This is for the C street SW location. I've heard good things about downtown. Wish we would have went there. Went there to watch a football game we could not get at home. Great beer selection so I got a good stout ( it was warm) the afternoon bartender was good and was friendly. Second beer was a good porter ( it was warm ) the Mens restroom had some sort of leak from the urinal, floor was sticky. Had chips and Queso dip for an appetizer it was good. The afternoon bartender left and the lady that took over looked at her phone a lot. We ordered food, I had a cob salad and it was good, my wife ordered a burger because they offered a gluten free bun. The bartender asked her how she wanted it cooked and she told her well done. When the burger came out it was raw, not rare it was dripping with red fluids no were close to even rare and she asked for well? I had her come over and asked her to take it back and please cook it. She did and told us the cook had partied hard the night before, not a great excuse. Burger came back almost cooked, not done and still had the same blood soaked bun that fell apart after the first bite. She ate half of it and hopefully won't get E Coli. Could be a nice little sports bar, just not for us. Might try the downtown location, not going back to C Street. I would have given a star or two more, but no apology for the terrible burger and the lame excuse for a hungover cook. read more

I visited for the 1st time tonight because it was located next to the venue I was going to. Our appetizer was amazing, we had the pretzel crusted cheese balls. I ended up ordering a soup bread bowl with a side salad. They bring out my food and it is just a cup of soup without the bread. I was told, "sorry, we are our of bread bowls." Um, we got our check and were charged for a soup bread bowl with extra for a side salad. I said something that I only got a cup of soup and a side salad. Waiter goes to correct the bill only to find out the manager said the bread bowl is not an extra charge. So we paid $6.99 for a cup of soup and $2 for the added salad. Didn't have the best experience. There were maybe 5 ppl in the place and service was not great. I ordered Q-ban and baked potato soup. They were really good but the Q-ban said it was in cabotta bread and this wasn't cabotta. Massive amount of sweet potato fries that were over cooked. Friends had the beer cheese soup and it was more like a dip than soup and was grainy. When we asked the waiter if it should be this thick... he said yes. Horrible experience. When we got there, there was no more than 10-12 people. Got the wrong beer, the wrong appetizer, ordered a mix drink that took 20 mins to get. Ordered and sandwich was on all sandwiches on bread, even Philly cheesesteak. One sandwich included the butt of the bread, soggy fries drenched in salt. Could her other tables stating they were getting the wrong food and drinks. Prices way to high for the quality and quantity of food served. read more

Quinton has excellent food! I love the Greek salad and the Cobb salad. My husband and I have been here a few times recently and the sandwiches and burgers are also very tasty. They have a good happy hour too! The service was good every time we have been here. This restaurant has a nice outdoor seating are. Definitely recommend! read more

I've been here in person a few times so my delivery experience was less than favorable. I ordered the jalapeño poppers, potato soup bowl, and one of the potatoes. Delivery service originally brought the wrong order after I waited the estimated 55-75 minutes initially. He was nice and went back to pick up the correct order. The jalapeño poppers were less than desirable, we didn't taste much jalapeño in the creamy mixture. The soup was very disappointing. The bread bowl was actually frozen, yes frozen. The soup by that point was super cold so I heated it up but nothing could help the bland mixture. The potato was the only decent thing we ate but of course the skin was extremely tough and had I known the meats were long slices thrown on I may have ordered something else. I won't be ordering delivery from here again unfortunately. read more

Slow service here, inattentive wait staff, credit/debit card "convenience" fees, warm beer, okay tasting food, chunky soup that's not supposed to be chunky, poorly mixed drinks, dirty pint glasses, I could go on and on but you get the point. I had high hopes for a CR Quinton's because I LOVE going to the IC local, so I tried out the CR location many times and kept lowering my expectations each time in hopes they would finally pass even the basics of a half-good experience but they continue to be let down each time. It's mostly the staff that screws up the experience, the best way to order is take out, then you don't have to be disappointed by the staff that never comes back to refill drink or check on you after they drop off the food. read more

Okay experience. The food is a bit over-priced for what you get, but my burger was very good. Fries were over cooked for me, but others enjoyed what they purchased. Service was fine - water was never refilled, but the booze guests were taken care of. Great location and interior is nice, plus during the summer they have a great street-side patio. The issue - 4% credit card charge is on your ticket and it is on top of what you purchased. Pay cash and they take it off, but nothing was said about the charge and it was not on the website or menu. I know updating a menu and website takes time, but the server should inform the guest in real time, so there are no surprises. Bottom line is Quinton makes another 1-1.5% off that charge since the average CC processing fee is ~2.5%. Please inform your guests. read more

Quinton's has great food and an impressive beer selection, with over 50 different drafts. They offer half price beers (with a few exceptions) during happy hour from 3-6 p.m. every weekday. They have a variety of food and drink specials all week long. The staff is friendly and attentive. The patio seating is ample and offers a terrific view from the west side of the river looking at the Cedar Rapids skyline. This is the go to place if you're looking to avoid the hassle and payment of downtown parking while still being close enough to walk to those attractions. It's also worth checking out before or after seeing a show at the amphitheatre, which is right across the street. One of the best restaurants on the west side of downtown. If you haven't had the chance to check it out make sure to do so the next time you're in the area. read more

We ordered delivery. I had a 1/2 CAB with a potato soup bread bowl. My husband had the bacon avocado burger with fries. The order arrived in a reasonable time, but the delivery driver was rude and didn't have a receipt for us. Calling the slight smear of green spread on our sandwiches "avocado" is a sad, cruel joke. There was barely any and it didn't taste like anything. I never would have ordered the sandwich I did if I had known. The rest of the food wasn't bad. Not great, not bad. Decided to stop into try something new with my sister & mom & it was awesome! First we were just going to have drinks & apps & they were doing a really awesome trivia night so we grabbed a card & joined in- super fun!! The atmosphere was super cool, bar area, then booths & table & outside dining which is across from the McGrath amphitheater! I love love loved the sweet art work up on the back wall of the iconic musicians! We all decided to order, the menu was good, 2 of us got burgers & 1 got wings! The dipping sauce was great & the drinks were really good, not too strong but not underpoured! Very cool crowd in on a Thursday night around 8 but still felt like we could have had the kids there and been fine! Clean, hip joint, attentive wait staff but not bothersom, very clean bathrooms & all employees were very polite & thanked us at least 3 different times for coming in!
