​ FRAUDULENT SERVICE & PROPERTY DAMAGE! ATTN: GENERAL MANAGER ​I am writing this review as an extremely furious customer. I bought my brand new 2026 Chevrolet Tahoe LT directly from this Quirk Chevrolet dealership. Since purchasing it last October, this entire ownership experience has been a complete nightmare. ​For 7 to 8 MONTHS now, I have had to constantly schedule appointments and bring this vehicle back several times to fix the exact same factory defect: the severe rattling and squeaking noise in the second-row seat directly behind the driver. Every single time I drop it off, they quickly turn it around--sometimes I drop it off in the morning and they tell me to pick it up that afternoon. But because they just rush through it, they completely fail to properly fix it. Every few weeks, it's the exact same story: it starts squeaking again, and I'm forced to return yet again for another failed attempt. ​What is absolutely unacceptable is that during these reckless visits, their technicians committed severe property damage to my interior. As shown in the attached photos, they severely scratched up the plastic trim panel along the door. What's even more outrageous is their pathetic attempt to "fix" it--instead of actually removing the scratches, they rubbed or sanded it down so badly that they completely ERASED the original factory texture/grain of the plastic! The scratches are still fully visible, but now the plastic texture is completely ruined and bald! ​They explicitly promised and agreed to completely replace this damaged plastic panel for me, but for some unknown reason, they never did and just went back on their word. ​I have already opened a formal corporate complaint with GM Corporate. Furthermore, because this dealership ruined the interior of the vehicle I JUST bought from them and continues to lie and waste my time with rushed, failed repairs, I am filing official complaints with the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation (OCABR) and the Better Business Bureau (BBB). ​To the General Manager of Quirk: Do not reply with a generic template. My name is William, and I am leasing a 2026 Equinox from this dealership. On Monday, I had an appointment for the recommended 5,000-mile service. As I always do, I marked the tires with a pen to verify whether the tire rotation was actually performed. Unfortunately, I was told that all the recommended procedures for the first service had been completed. However, when the car was returned to me, I realized that they had not, in fact, rotated the tires. So, after speaking with the manager--and showing him a photo of the marked tire--he stated that he would look into what had actually happened, but noted that human errors do occur. I will no longer take this car to this dealership, and I recommend marking your tires to verify that the work was truly carried out. That was my experience. read more

I would stay far away from this dealership. While I didn't work with them directly, they share the same management as Quirk GMC -- and my experience there was terrible. They damaged my vehicle and tried to cover it up. Once I discovered what happened, they admitted fault and repaired the issue, but in the process caused additional damage. When I brought this new issue to their attention, they refused to take responsibility because I noticed it after I got home -- even though I had only inspected the area that was supposed to be fixed. Their public response on Yelp claimed there was a "misunderstanding" and asked me to reach out. I did -- multiple times through Yelp, email, and voicemail -- but never received any reply. Slow and expensive repair. My daughter's 2011 Volt was towed to the closest Chevy dealer by AAA on a Sunday. I called Monday to explain why it was there. I was asked had if it had been there before. I replied "no" and was told they would not work on it. I called another Volt certified dealer a couple miles away and arranged to have it towed there for repair. Then I called Quirk back to tell them to expect a tow truck I was told our car was now "in the bay" and they would work on it. Then comes two weeks of unreturned near daily calls and texts. No information on diagnosis, estimate or ETA until I walked in and asked what was going on. I was told the have one Volt tech who is also the Corvette Tech and that he was very busy. But they did have an error code (likely from the first Monday it was there) and would investigate. I got the error code from the advisor and entered it in ChatGPT and Chat said the Volt needed a new 12V battery. A few days later I was told it needed a new 12V battery and it would be $456.00. I approved the repair. When the repair was done it was $456.00 for the battery and an additional $220.00 for the diagnosis. With other unexpected charges the bill was over $720.00. The repair worked. But two weeks without a car was stressful. The lack of communication was poor business practice and the high cost was beyond expected. read more

I checked my oil before going In yesterday for an oil consumption test and the oil was half missing on the dipstic.. the man at quirk chevy of braintree showed me a picture of the oil on the dipstic barley missing as they most likely added oil and lied to my face.. this dealership is saying it's normal to be missing oil.. stay away from quirk chevy braintree and I would suggest all quirk dealerships to stay away from because they are scammmers!! Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a dealership I brought my 2022 Chevy to Quirk Chevrolet in Braintree for ongoing safety and electrical issues -- dashboard warnings, reduced acceleration, and system failures. The problems started early, on December 15, 2022, when the car had just 14,676 miles on it. I was told it was due to a recall and electronic glitch, and they kept the vehicle for a week. I expected the issue to be resolved, but the same problems kept returning. I went back on August 11, 2023, at 54,693 miles, with the same exact dashboard warnings. From there, the issues became more frequent, happening several times a month. I brought the car in again on February 27, 2025, with 121,570 miles, when they said it was a battery issue and replaced it. But just days later, on March 3, 2025 (now at 123,308 miles), the same problems came back. I returned on March 17, 2025, at 124,922 miles, and again on April 2, 2025, at 126,314 miles -- each time, they simply reset the system without truly diagnosing the root cause. On April 3, 2025, at 126,432 miles, they finally said it might be a wiring issue but couldn't isolate which wire. After keeping my car for over 10 days, they gave it back -- but the same dashboard warnings appeared before I even made it home. They did not provide me with a rental car or anything like that as the extended warranty stated. Quirk Chevrolet had more than enough chances to properly fix this vehicle, and they failed every time. All they ever offered were quick resets, vague answers, and no accountability. I've lost valuable time, money, and the use of a car I rely on daily to support my family. Avoid Quirk Chevrolet in Braintree if you want real service. They don't stand by their work or take care of their customers -- especially when it matters most. read more

I started going to this dealer in 2015, mostly happy with the service received. In most recent times, I give Braintree Quirk Chevy a fat "0". This new crew has no integrity. I have given this new personnel 2chances to fix 2 different cars and each time I was lied to about work being done. Because I questioned the price the first time they did no work kept my car 2weeks. Each time I was not charged 1 cent because they did no work. The next they did the same thing. But I just got my car back the second day because I had already spent $500 or more in Ubers because they claim no loaner. At the same time NO work done on either cars. There is a professional liar name Kristine whom just wouldn't stop making up stories. I will never step foot in Braintree Quirk Chevrolet, at 444 Quincy Avenue. Think twice before leaving your car. I think if I fitted a certain type of male person I would be happy, but they did not work and my car is still having problems. So I'm off to find a new Chevy dealer to service my car. my experience with quirk Chevy dealership started out as I expected. I was trying to get the best deal I could I was told try to the dealership for as long as I could so I decided to text a salesman we haggled back-and-forth about a price and we finally came to an agreement. I actually have the text that he says a price I and my wife went there took the vehicle for a ride went in to do some paperwork and when the salesman asked about financing, we said we using their finance program. He immediately told us that we could not get the vehicle for the price we agreed on and I'm the type of person when you agree on something and shake hands it's a deal and for them to actually go back on their word on the price of the vehicle was not an honest thing to do. I called one Saturday morning defeated I wasn't finding anything in stock when Larry said he had just what I was looking for. I called off work to have a very expensive remote starter put in, only to sit for over an hour and be told I have to come back because they did not call their GM team, who was needed for the install. The sales process was good, and the folks in the service department are very customer-centric and thorough. It's the dealership's leadership that's lacking and in a big way. As the old adage says, a fish rots from the head, and James Thorpe fits that description. I'd offer examples, but unfortunately, after many calls and emails, he never got back to me--not even once. It appears that ole Jim didn't appreciate the less-than-perfect rating I gave them on the Chevy survey. I called this dealership to learn more about the lease special for a car. I get the price and double confirmed with the salesperson before going there in person. When I get there he told me there is an additional $2000 down. I felt scammed. He had a certain attitude and he implied I'm lying. After some altercations he asked me to leave the dealership in a very rude way with hand gestures. This person is just a salesperson but obviously wasn't trained at all how to handle tough moments with customers. He was very comfortable going on back and forth with me like a street dealer. I had a leak and service advisor told me he use to be a mechanic, after demanding to see service manager and get the truck in a lift they found the leak. They never have loaner cars. read more

The worst dealership I've ever dealt with. I bought a Silverado 2500 back in November. The truck was arriving on November 24th. The Truck didn't get delivered. I however got my bill from GM financial. For several months now I have been paying for a truck that hasn't been delivered. Quirk kept blaming GM for not delivering the truck. After contacting GM I found out the dealership is responsible for delivery. I also called GM financial to find out why am I paying for a truck that I don't have. GM financial said the dealership should of not turned the paperwork into them until the truck arrived. However, the dealership gets paid as soon as the paperwork is turned in so they are just looking to get their money. In the words of the GM financial representative "they are unethical". So after 4 months of dealing with this Issue called to see what can be done. I was told I shouldn't get mad because I'm driving around in "their truck" (my trade in, a 2001 gmc pickup) putting miles on it depreciating the trade in. They also offered a bed liner and steps for the new truck that I don't have or even an ETA on when it's coming. I was told this is the best they could do after I've spent about $4000 so far on a truck that I don't have. When I got annoyed with them and asked to speak with their supervisor they hung up on me. After I wrote a review on another site the General Manager emailed me accusing me of being inaccurate. I repeatedly offered to discuss my review and change and inaccuracies or misunderstanding. He refused each time and asked if I wanted to cancel the deal. When I asked about how to get out of a loan I'm already paying I was told it's like it doesn't exist anymore and it's a simple cancellation. I informed him my name and credit are on the loan and I want detailed info. He was not able to give me any except call GM Financial. At this point I'm still paying for a truck that is sitting in Michigan. The dealership has no plan for it being shipped out this way from what little information has been given to me. I also don't trust them "canceling" the loan and wreaking my credit. This company has really put me in a bad spot. Stay far away from them!!! read more

I wish I could give them no stars. They won't even work on their own vehicles now! When I first started using Quirk they were my go to auto service. But over the last few years the quality of service has deteriorated down to no service. I mean literally *no service*. I was rear ended on the highway. I called and asked if they could look it over for mechanical problems and I would worry about the body work after. They said ok. Just before the AAA tow truck arrived I got a call back saying they wouldn't even look at the mechanical problem until I started the body work. They were insistent. So I had the car towed to their body shop who refused to touch it. My car is a 2015. They only do cars that are 2016 and newer. WTF? Chevy makes that d*mn vehicle but they don't fix them? Plus they refused to work with my insurance company. ??? They referred me to another body shop, but they were booked out until December! In the meantime the poor tow truck driver is chauffeuring me around like a cabbie with this car on his back. Finally the he recommended a garage that would do it all and work with any insurance. I bought a truck here a few years ago. I got a really good deal, and if you are willing to put in some time and effort, you may get a really good deal from them too. Expect them to try to scam you every step in the way using every unethical auto dealer trick in the book. If you visit them, be prepared to walk away unless 1) they offer a very good price and 2) you have the stamina to review all of the documents very carefully. The only reason why I would recommend anyone visit them is because they seem willing to lose money on a sale to achieve other business goals. It's possible they have cleaned up their act, but given the reviews here on Yelp and the 52 complaints lodged with the state Attorney General's Consumer Advocacy and Response Division as of this writing, beware. read more

Came in for an oil change and was told i need all new spark plugs and fluids. I informed them i had just purchased the vehicle and they still insisted. One hour later they bring me out to my truck and tell me my engine hose is leaking and my engine can explode if i dont fix it ($500 fix). I told them no thanks i will go to my mechanic. My mechanic said its dry as a bone with no leaks. This place will try to upsell you on a problem that doesn't exist. 2 years ago when I brought my tahoe there for a black chevy bowtie they "updated" the system after i told them not to. I was eager to lease a car and saw an amazing special online. I quickly emailed them asking for the fine print etc. I was assured it was legit and convinced to come down right away. I was told I would be completely elegible for a $0 down- $95 a month lease. I kept inquiring because I felt like this wasn't going to be possible but was reassured. With my good credit - the lease terms went from 0 down and $95 a month to $1800 down and $275 a month. THAT BEING SAID - the sales rep was brushing me off and made me feel embarrassed. I had a really unpleasant experience here. I went home feeling taken advantage of , and just feeling like crap. He passes me off to a sales person who then tells me the car was already sold. No other cars will be available until three weeks. I did not hear back from anyone. I just had to leave. I went in to discuss lease ending options and had every intention of getting a 3rd lease from this location until this last interaction . I dealt with a saleswomen named Becky who wasn't a bad person but she gave me no information I couldn't get on my own and was line dealing with a computer. I had 2 questions about a buyout and new lease and it was here's your buy out we don't negotiate, then it was $3500 down for $199 lease . I was turning in a 3 year lease with 11k miles on it which means it was 19k miles under the allowance so there's equity in the vehicle but she made no effort to do anything so I ended up getting a 2021 Rogue as they bought my lease out 2k over the buy out amount . Someone really needs to teach the sales ppl that this market won't last forever so if you treat ppl like crap now they won't come back when you really need them...In response to the generic reply from Sean , I will tell you that answering a few questions isn't the same as going above and beyond for your customers and coming here justifying bad service proves I made the right decision going elsewhere. They advertised a discount of $2,250 and then changed it to $1,000 once in person. They tried giving me some bs about not qualifying for that price even though their advertised price said "Available to Everyone". I have contacted the Attorney General.
