Excellent Mexican food, great margaritas and nice atmosphere. Definitely worth the visit.

Food was pretty tasty, and everything was reasonably priced. The red salsa was a lil too sweet for my taste, but the salsa verde was tangy with a nice kick! They even gave us extra chips for free. My chicken enchiladas were very cheesy and well cooked, but a lil too salty. I loved the beans! My fiancé enjoyed his barbacoa, and thought it was even better with the hot sauce they offered us. The staff was so unbelievably friendly and attentive! I think everyone working stopped by our table to check on us at some point, but it didn't seem like too much. They were great about masks too, which is huge for us these days. I would definitely go back! read more

I'm a pretty adventurous eater and honestly a lot of the stuff looked good, but sadly I had a stomach ulcer when I came for my Mom's birthday so had to avoid all the fun stuff (margaritas, spicy dishes, mole etc.) I told this to the waiter. He said he couldn't leave the salsa off an otherwise bland dish I could eat that I requested, "no big deal," I said and I ordered rice, beans, avocado and a cheese quesadilla. He later came back and told me the manager said he couldn't serve a cheese quesadilla to an adult. This just made me very annoyed because obviously I'm having a rough go of it, trying to make the best of things, and spending a lot of money with the rest of my family at the restaurant. Not to mention I've already told the waiter of my circumstance. I just found that to be pretty rude and they made a bad situation I was in worse. The waiter was also not polite or apologetic about this at all. To be fair the waiter was German (or some European nationality) so English wasn't his first language--so maybe he didn't entirely understand, but he also never really checked on the table or made an effort to be nice. Still tipped cause that's the kind of people we are, but hope y'all do better with this in the future. read more

The waitstaff was wonderful. The food was very underwhelming. Starting with the trio of dips as an appetizer, the one containing cucumber was like a sad, watery, tzatziki sauce. What a wonderful surprise! We wandered Brevard on a Sunday to find this gem. The five stars is for the food but mostly the best service we may have ever had. We started with a beer and a Very berry Margarita. Lots of beer to choose from and the margarita was made with fresh muddled berries. So delish. We got the drinks quickly and then ordered the appetizer sampler with queso fundido, guacamole and pepita. All three yummy and so filling. We were checked on by the bartender, our waiter, and the manager. Kudos to this staff. read more

Wow. Just... wow. These guys knocked it out of the park, and they're nestled in Brevard! All of the appetizers were wonderful - but that didn't stop them from bringing more, on the house, that were... superb. Nice touch! My wife and I frequently order different things off the menu (although we'd likely choose the same thing - been together a while, eh?) just so we can sample different tastes. I've gotta say, we were not disappointed by any of the four entrees we ordered. Okay, you're probably thinking "Four entrees?" But yeah, we went back the following evening - it was that good! The bar is decent and informed. they know how to mix drinks, and they really do try to give the customer what they want. Desserts? Pick one. You can't go wrong. We live almost 5 hours away from here, but Quixote is one of the reasons we'll keep coming back to Brevard. Thanks guys, looking forward to our next trip! read more

Best authentic Mexican food I've ever eaten! The staff are friendly and attentive, and the decor is festive yet more upscale than your avaerage Mexican establishment. The menu items are fairly priced, considering everything is made fresh (try the salsa and guacamole!) My favorite thing to get is to split a Texas Fajita with someone (it's a LOT of food!) I had the bowl with just veggies and there was so much cheese it was a grease pit.:/ But my mom order Hawaiian Fajitas with pork tenderloin and pineapple and it was good. Also, there "queso" was terrible. It was like sloppy taco meat with cheese dumped on top. Give me the thin, white Mexican cheese, so good! Guacamole was ok, heavy on the lemon juice. I stopped here with my boyfriend on Tuesday night and our experience was nothing short of GREAT! Fehr was our waiter and his service was also fantastic. I ordered the Momias and the Texas Majete and both of the dishes suggested by Fehr were exactly as described. The manager stopped by our table multiple times to check in which was also nice. They're trying to do something cool: an upgraded spin on traditional Latin food, and they have the prices to show for it! The food actually wasn't that bad (Pollo Con Manzana Y Nuez, Queso Fundido), but it all kinda falls apart after that. The atmosphere is confusing and messy - dead-looking hanging plants and goofy stars. The staff doesn't know how to create a welcoming environment - no one assigned as host and 3 different people offering to take your order. And the menu lacks appeal. We were seated near the front and watched probably 20-25 people walk up to the entrance, look confused about what to do, check out the posted menu, look even more confused, and then walk away. If you're gonna be on Main St in a touristy town like Brevard, you have to give people something to go on! This restaurant lacks a theme or a category. It's too bad, but we won't be back. read more

I had takeout from here about 2 weeks ago and I'm still dreaming about it. Lol The food is awesome, the staff is accommodating and kind, and it is a great location. There is indoor and outdoor seating and I saw a robust bar, though I did't really check the bar/wine/beer lists. I highly recommend this place for great food! read more

Amazing Mexican food with a huge influence of South American (Peruvian) cuisine. The linens are tasteful. Guacamole was delicious as well as the chips. They have a great vegetarian selection. We ordered the veggie fajita, burritos frijoles, and the veggie molcajete. All three dishes were excellent! We requested for their spicy salsa which was delish!! Was wandering around enjoying the White Squirrel Festival in downtown Brevard and decided to have some noms at Quixote. We both had a beer and decided on a sampling of appetizers. We ordered the chips and salsa (which are not complimentary), the taquitos and the queso fundido. I was disappointed that the chips that came with the salsa were straight out of a bag. As a corn chip snob/addict, this is a big deal. Don't judge. The three salsas were great- a smoky salsa that was very spicy, a mild salsa verde, and a typical red salsa. The taquitos were only ok. Honestly, I've had similar from the frozen section of Costco. They were tasty but not great and not something we would order again. The queso was delicious, although the chiorzo made it pretty greasy. The service was great. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Four stars. read more

Overall our experience was subpar and subliminal. Trying to get a table was challenging even though tables were available. The staff were disorganized and we had to repeat ourselves multiple times that we were waiting on one of the two empty tables outside. And then the food was worse. The guacamole tasted like it was packaged, it was a very small portion, and the chips were definitely out of a bag. On to the fajitas: lacking flavor, undercooked vegetables, cold broccoli, and again a very small portion. The beans tasted like they were out of a plastic lined can. Family owned Mexican Restaurant with a great location in Brevard. They are one of the few places in Brevard that has awesome fresh Guacamole, everything is made in house even the Carrot soup which was awesome. We all ordered the Carnitas which isn't on the menu but is boiled pork, with refried beans, rice and Pico de Gallo, it was wonderful and came highly recommended by their server. Even though we were stuffed we had decided to order the Churros for dessert the picture I took did not do it justice, the crisp sugary outside had a nice creamy inside served with chocolate ice cream I was over the moon. Our daughter ordered the steam burrito, best burrito in the area flavorful and presentation was top notch. We also had the Mojitos to drink refreshing and affordable. I hate to complain being in the service industry but when an issue is ignored I feel the need to bring it up. We've been here a few times & have enjoyed ourselves but this past time was not the best experience. The owner was walking around talking to tables but never came to ours, our server looked at my plate of picked apart raw salmon & never said anything. We paid & left. Hopefully they correct this down the road instead of ignoring it because we want to like it & for them to succeed. read more

I am so happy we chose this restaurant. They were friendly, helpful, and the inside is so cute and welcoming. The food was amazing, veggies perfectly cooked fresh fish and the chimichurri was delicious and a perfect pair. It was fresh, clean eating Mexican. We went in for lunch on a Saturday and the restaurant wasn't busy. We had fish tacos and a grilled chicken dish with veggies over salad greens. Everything was super bland with zero seasoning or flavor. The fish tacos were nothing but fried fish on a dry tortilla with a couple of red onions cut in chunks on top. The chicken was very tough. Even the guacamole was like avocado soup with chunks of tomato and onion. The margaritas were weak and not worth the $10. Go across the street to Rocky's soda shop and just have a grilled hot dog! read more

This is an amazing resturant owned by the most engaging couple. The food is the most authentic you will find in this area. There were so many different items we could have chosen on the menu which of course will encourage us to return. Flavorful and delicious with a wonderful presentation. During this odd time of social distancing they rearranged the resturant to provide ample social distancing but still appear as a welcoming intimate dining experience. We had an excellent meal there! Please visit this resturant if you are in the Brevard area and if living in Asheville this is a must do destination resturant Drive. This place is great! We tried the strawberry aqua fresca and it was perfect. The server was very friendly and perfectly timed, he was the greatest example of what we look for in a server. The food was great. I had the carnitas and the flavor was so good and it was so juicy. I was very impressed. He had he Burritos de Calabacitos which was perfect. The rice and beans were the best we have had at any Mexican restaurant ever. The chips were not homemade but both of the salsas were great. I can't wait to see the new place! read more
