This is my favorite lunch place, it's clean, staff is great, they are fast and the food is always fresh. We went today and they were so pleasant to us even with the horrible woman who stood there yelling at them because they did not have her food ready the moment she finished telling them. She just wanted to argue and be rude. Today was the only time I have ever felt uncomfortable in there and it was not their fault. Sometimes people just want to be horrible to food service employees because it makes them feel better. Tried to order my favorite sandwich, the honey bacon club. Unfortunately, they were "out of it." I am not sure what they were out of specifically, but I could have easily made substitutions for different ingredients they may not have had. I worked at Quiznos 20 years ago, I know the menu of the classics well. I love many of their subs. I settled on my 2nd fave, Turkey Ranch and Swiss. Always great. Good service. I was just at this Quiznos location, we stopped because my husband and I are traveling through Atlanta and urgently needed to use the restroom. My husband waited in the car, I went inside and there was no one at the front counter, and the place was empty ZERO customers, I proceeded to walk towards the restroom, an employee came out the back, I said Hello loud enough and he ignored me. I got to the restrooms and they were locked, it had a sign that said restrooms only for customers. So went back to the counter and another guy came out. Asked if I could please use the restroom and He asked me if I was going to buy something. I said yes, I will but I need to use the restroom first. He said NO, I had to buy first. That really bothered, is not like I was lying to him. I really was going to buy something to respect their rule. I told him again "I urgently need to use the restroom please. I will buy my food as soon as I'm done using it." He said "No, you have to order and pay first." That really pissed me off. That is NO WAY to treat a costumer, whether I buy there or another location, I told him "I will buy my food, but I urgently need the bathroom" he said " those are the rules" I said ok I know you have a lot of bums out there, and that's why they make that rule, but I'm not a bum, obviously I am dressed decently and clean, I'm just a traveling customer" and he refused!!! This place is HORRENDOUS. Please avoid it, as no one should ever encounter my experience. I don't know where to start, but I will outline it below. Ok, here we go: Location - I was aggressively HARASSED upon entering by the people lying around outside. (First RED Flag). Food- I ordered online and went to pick up the order 10 minutes after it was supposed to be ready. The sandwich was not prepared, not even acknowledged in the system by the employee. I asked, and he said no, I didn't make anything. I had printed out (physically) the order to show and still did not look. I selected to pay at the restaurant which the employee exclaimed if you don't pay online, your food does not get made. I asked why that option is on the website if not a viable option. The employee was dismissive, but to his credit, I only saw him for the entire 35-minute wait. When I did get the food, I ordered an ultimate turkey club toasted it was not toasted, the lettuce was wilted and old, tomato looked gross and slimy. The excessive mayo on it looked like a glob of snot (sorry for being overly descriptive), so much so that the sandwich did not look edible. I noticed this when I got home and immediately discarded it. Parking - non-existent Time to get food - 30+ minutes for a turkey sandwich Oh, did I mention I was cursed out and threatened with violence by one of the transient people in the lobby? I was told I would get punched F@#ed up and was told I would get spit on. Luckily, he could tell from my expression that engaging me would not be in his best interest. Where was the manager, you ask? He told the guy to stop; not leave but stop... Long story short, never visit here. This location should be closed ASAP. The owner of this place is horrible and tow orkers who work here are terrible. My first time visiting Atlanta and we came downtown. I had to use the restroom really bad. The cashier made me buy something to use the restroom. Ok that's fine. I asked my husband to use buy something and I got t the restroom. The guy knew I had to use it really bad and made my husband buy something first just to get the key. Then the guy proceed to move slow and try to make us order the most expensive drink as I stood there shaking. Such terrible customer service. I would NEVER hit up the 5 Points area just to go out to eat. There is always some type of hold-up, crack deal or other incident involving a weapon going down at this sketch pot. But, since I work at the Robinson College of Business, I'm right across from Quiznos, making it an obvious lunch dining option. I have avoided the chain for my entire life, because I thought I was too good, but several of my coworkers bring in Quiznos salads to our office eating area, getting my taste buds' attention. So I finally headed over to Quiznos and got a chicken Caesar salad and a sweet tea. Pretty filling and amazing, I must say, especially since the salad comes with four sections of toasted, seasoned flatbread. I know the shredded cheese, croutons and creamy dressing pack on some serious calories, but there's lettuce somewhere down in there, too! The line is always horrendous, but I just discovered that for salad buyers, there is an Express Line, so the vegheads don't have to stand in the slow-moving sandwich conveyor belt. The Quizno's at 5 Points isn't anything exotic or unusual. . .but the wife and I stop in there for lunch when the pocket book will allow. Although the have a large selection, there are three (3) items I've become very fond of: the so-called "gourmet soup bowls", the Sammies, and the Steakhouse Dip. . .paired with either chip or cookies and a drink they make for a very filling meal. On average Mary Lou and I spend around $16 for lunch for the both of us. . .this to me is a rare bargain. As good as the food is, the atmosphere is another thing that brings us back again and again. The staff is always friendly and attentive and the other customers - and people across on Barbra Asher Square - are always fun to watch. I used to loathe Quizno's. And as far as sandwiches go, I still won't order one here. They are always trying to sneak some terrible sauce into your meal. Ever since Quizno's started serving the $2 Flatbread Sammies though, I'm sold. For lunch, I can get two Sammies and I'm totally satisfied. To be fair, I have an almost unnatural love for flatbread. We order frequently from this location due to it's close proximity to work. That was until yesterday, after an awful encounter with the owner. I'm not sure why he feels it's okay to speak to customers that pays his bills and keeps him in business as he spoke to us. We needed to make an addition to an online order that we placed and called in. Immediately, he told us that he was busy and didn't have time to take our order and that we need to "hurry up!" The rudeness didn't stop there. When he delivered our order I informed him that my salad was missing. He said he would bring it back, which he did, however the contents of the salad were now inside the bag! I called and informed him that I wanted my money back and he could pick up the salad in a bag. He, the owner of this establishment, said to me "I can't come back today, you wait until tomorrow". I politely said, $3.66 will not kill me so I will wait until tomorrow. Fast-forward to today and I call for my refund and he tells me he's giving me $3.25. I told him my salad was $3.66 and that's what you will refund me. When he arrived at my place of employment, this man - the OWNER of the store, proceeded to tell me that he could only give me $3.25 because the entire order was placed on a credit card and one of the order was a pick 2 combo. What does this have to do with a single order, that didn't have a discount on it? After strongly telling and explaining the receipt to him I told him that he will be giving me $3.66, he then pulls out $4 and tells me to never order from him again. I stated that we will NEVER order from Quiznos Store #4562 EVER again! This person then begins wagging his finger towards my face. Thank goodness I was at work, because this would have been a totally different review. The rudeness of this person is beyond asinine and this is the type of business that needs to be shut down, permanently. I have made a formal complaint to Quiznos Corporate office and hope to hear from them soon. I used to go at least once a week for the bread bowl, but they stopped putting the chicken in it. You have to pay extra; huh? I'm already paying $7 for soup and a drink. I've frequented this establishment on multiple occasions since it is near my work. It's always been a hit or miss with the customer service. However, on March 5th, I ate lunch there with a coworker and while waiting in line, a man came in with a backpack and started yelling for someone to buy him food. He mentioned he was hungry and was going to just steal it, but wanted to do the right thing. He then started staring at the long line of people waiting to order while saying other random stuff. Finally, a man in line offered to buy him a sandwich. During this entire time, not a single employee nor the owner of the store said a word to this man. They left their customers to stand there in an extremely uncomfortable situation, just waiting to see what would happen next. Were we about to be held hostage? Was there a gun in his backpack-and would he use it if no one bought him food? Was there a bomb in his backpack? With the way things are today, people cannot be too careful.
