    Tradizionale
    Odamys P.

Stopped by as we were walking in Atlanta. We ordered the Tradizionale pizza which had pepperoni, spicy italian sausage, peppers, with no onion and extra sauce. After waiting 20 minutes, the server came by and said they misread our order and made it no sauce. They asked if we''d still be interested but after kindly declining we had to wait another 15 minutes for our pizza to come out. Was disappointed about the pizza quality, it was very floppy when we grabbed a piece. The toppings including the cheese and sauce fell off the thin bread each time. Wish the crust would've been more firm so make it a more enjoyable experience.

My husband, toddler and I stopped by on a Monday evening after finishing our day at the aquarium. We were seated right away in a booth with menus, paper & crayons. We reviewed the wine list and decided to order a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. After a few minutes it turns out they didn't have the bottle and only a more expensive one. My husband asked if they could match the price and they did. We had a lovely dining experience. Our toddler behaved well, we had a nice wine after a long day of meltdowns & we shared a delicious thin crust coal fired pizza. We had the sauce less fontina & funghi pizza and it had several wild mushrooms all cooked perfectly and caramelized onions to top it off. Overall, great service, fast fresh pizza, and good ambiance.

First time visiting today with my wife and enjoyed a nice meal. The double pepperoni pizza was delicious. The crust was really good. We split a Cesar salad. The service was struggling this afternoon but sometimes it happens. Overall it was a nice experience with really good pizza.

This place was so good! The pizza was so crunchy and soft at the same time, the drinks were strong, the staff were very friendly. We sat outside and it was really nice. We're from out of state so we will definitely come back to this spot whenever we're back in Atlanta.

One of those spots where you order food and drinks, then end up staying for over two hours just enjoying the conversation. The weather was beautiful, the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, and the outdoor seating was perfect for the day. The food was delicious, our server was kind and attentive, and the overall experience made us want to linger a little longer.

I came here twice during my trip to Atlanta. On the first visit, we split the garlic flatbread (topped with mozzarella at the recommendation of our waitress) and the lemon and herb wings, as well as a margherita pizza. The garlic flatbread was good but a bit too cheesy with the added mozzarella, and the lemon pepper wings were a miss in our opinion. The margherita pizza, though, was phenomenal. There was no flop and a nice char on the crust - it did not have huge flavor but it was definitely satisfying. After checking and seeing the One Bite score, I was surprised it was not rated higher. The next day, because of how good the pizza was, we came back with friends who had now joined us in Atlanta, and ordered the Caesar Salad and the classic pie. The salad was delicious, but the classic pie was very disappointing. So doughy and floppy with absolutely no crisp on the undercarriage - exactly what Dave had complained about in his review - and a bit over-seasoned in my opinion. That pizza gave Dominos vibes when the margherita gave solid coal oven pizza vibes. All in all, worth visiting, but stick to the margherita pie.

Me and my family are vegetarians with my mom being gluten free, and we absolutely loved their pizza. My mom said it was one of the best gluten free pizzas that she has ever had and my Margherita pizza was equally delicious. To make things even better, our server Sam was really kind and attentive, checking on us very often and a really cool person overall. Would most definitely recommend!

I went here to grab a late dinner. The hostess was kind enough to take my order over the phone before they closed. I ordered a Greco pizza on gluten-free crust. I arrived before it was ready so I sat at the bar. The bartender was nice. He even packed me some napkins, plates, red pepper flakes, and Parmesan cheese packets. The pizza was good. I liked how light the crust was, which isn't always the case with gluten-free pizza. I'll definitely go back the next time I'm in town to explore the menu more. They have a good amount of seating options, and it looked like they have outdoor seating too.

Love finding a good pizza spot -- and this one did not disappoint! We stopped by Max's Coal Oven Pizzeria for lunch today and it was very good. It's honestly hard to find really good pizza, but their coal oven pizza definitely hits the mark. All of the pizzas are 12 inches, which is the perfect size. I ordered the Bianca ($18) and my husband went with the pepperoni ($16). Both were delicious, fresh, and cooked perfectly with that amazing coal oven flavor. Shoutout to Tonya, our waitress! She went the extra mile and made me a Cherry Coke with a cherry on top! Great food and great service always make for a win. The restaurant was very clean and has a fun vibe. They have inside and outside seating. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back! This is a solid choice for pizza!

The only reason I can't give them the full 5 stars is because they were out of bacon when I went. I ended up getting the egg, ham, and cheese croissant with potatoes, and it was SO good. The croissant had a slight sweetness to it that tasted like there may have been a little syrup added, and I loved it. The sweet and savory combination with the ham, egg, and cheese worked really well. The potatoes were good too, and between those and the croissant, the meal was surprisingly filling. Essentially you can eat 1/2 of the sandwich and save the other half for a second meal. Now the bread pudding was a disappointment. It was dry and lacked flavor, I would not recommend. I've gone in often and they've run out of inventory with no timeline of replenishing. I was able to get a B.E.C. sandwich ONCE in the handful of times I've been here. It was decent and fairly priced, but unavailable the following visits I made. At some point I had to have a sandwich made with no bread because they were out. That was my last time there. Most of the baristas appear to hate working here or simply being on the planet lol. My last visit I was looped into an unwarranted political conversation when just trying to grab a coffee. I get that it's near a college campus so EVERYTHING is made unnecessarily political these days unfortunately, but maybe they should coach their folks to not engage unsuspecting customers in these conversations... literally just prioritize the JOB and the BUSINESS and the customer experience. I don't need or want a lecture on how unbearable you think our country is when I'm just trying to get a drink. I was most impressed with the salmon, which was soft, moist, and quite appetizing. If only all fast-casual restaurant salmon could be this good. My wife added kale to the Hot Honey Chicken, at no extra charge. You can create custom plates/bowls/salads from scratch or you can modify existing ones on the menu. One plate and fries filled me up for dinner. My wife got full before finishing her plate. We were the only dine-in customers during our visit on Monday around 6:20pm -- not surprising since it was a Monday at dinnertime. I expect this place is busier at lunchtime. If you dine in, the bowls are different (not disposable). In the dining room, a few tables hadn't been cleaned when we sat down to eat. Also, one of the trash bins was overflowing and another was about to. During our visit, I noticed a slow, but steady stream of online and takeout customers and food delivery drivers come through. Currently, there are six sweetgreen locations in metro Atlanta, only one of which is in the burbs (Dunwoody). This Star Metals location was the fourth to open in Atlanta, on March 22, 2022. The first location opened at Ponce City Market on June 8, 2021. The company/brand started in Washington DC in 2006. This location has both indoor and outdoor seating in a cool part of town (Westside). The interior still looks new with a modern, industrial design. If you plan to visit with any regularity, sign up for sweetgreen rewards. Use the sweetgreen app and scan your QR code at checkout to get points. You get 10 points for each eligible $1 spent. At the time of writing this review, you can get Rosemary Focaccia as early as 350 points and an entree up to $18 in value at 2,500 points. Points expire 180 days (about six months) after issuance. I didn't sign up for rewards until after our visit. Using the app, I sent a picture of my receipt to sweetgreen to get points. Christell from the sweetgreen "customer experience" team responded in less than 24 hours. She added the correct amount of points to my account. Excellent online customer support. We look forward to returning.
