Best drinks in Brevard. This time I got a boba tea beverage that was recommend by the server. This ended up being an excellent choice. They've remodeled this area since I've last been here and there are lots of great places to sit and hang out.

    Beautiful

Just Wow! The place is super cozy and beautiful. The costumer service was amazing, the girl at the front was welcoming and warm. Our seasonal drinks were so delicious, they ran out of biscuits but they were super apologetic and super kind about it. ALL the food was amazing!!!! We had the curry tacos! Quiche of the day! Breakfast sandwiches ham/sausage egg and cheese on Asiago bagels, dumplings. We will for sure come back when we are in town. I also came with my whole family of 7. Ambiance is a 10.

After having worked remotely just up the street at Cup & Saucer for the past few days, I decided to come and give Quotations a try, hoping for as great of an experience as Cup & Saucer. Unfortunately, my expectations fell short. You can tell that this is a place that has a lot of regulars, and while they treat and greet regulars very warmly here, we felt a gust of cold air when we approached the counter. There was no greeting, no small talk, and it felt like we were inconveniencing the staff by being there. We were not even acknowledged when we approach the counter until we ask the staff directly which side of the counter we should order from. This interaction stands in the sharp contrast to how they treat their clearly regular customers. Their staff is also stingy with the rewards program: we bought two drinks, and yet they only gave us one punch, I'm assuming because it was a single order. As a former barista myself, I try and give the benefit of the doubt to customer service workers whenever I go out, but having received such a warm reception at Cup & Saucer for several days in a row as a complete stranger in this town, I don't think I'll be returning to quotations again. All that being said, the space is lovely and the oh Christmas tree latte was tasty. My companion however, who drinks cappuccinos frequently, was not a fan of his cappuccino here.

Loved our little breakfast here in this quiet town. Absolutely loved the vibe that Quotations gives off! We got the everything bagel sandwich with bacon, the lox bagel and fruit parfait. Everything was delicious! I also really enjoyed my vanilla latte.

Muffins could not be more delicious. Variety of lattes is amazing. Johanna and Casey are friendly, efficient, and wonderful. So glad we have this awesome place in Brevard!

The Good: Really fantastic coffee from Counter Culture in Asheville. Very large space with lots of tables, outdoor seating, and arm chairs in a secluded area of the shop. Three baristas working when I visited and they expertly handled the steady flow of customers. My mocha latte was smooth and helped to fuel this review! On site parking makes it really easy to get to. The Bad: It can get busy, and therefor noisy, but I never saw it crowded. Limited outlets if you need to plug in while getting any work done. Bottom Line: This is my second favorite coffee shop in Brevard, but honestly it would probably be my favorite for spending an hour or two to get some writing done. It's the easiest coffee shop to get to because of they have plenty of parking, and it's located on the edge of downtown so it tends to be less crowded. Jason Barnette Road Trips & Coffee

A quaint coffee shop situated right across from the farmers market here. I ordered a 16 oz vanilla latte, which was perfectly balanced and just as I ordered. I complimented my latte with homemade biscuits and gravy that just fell apart with every bite, it was delicious!! The sausage to gravy ratio was tasty and flavorful. There's plenty of seating, WiFi and great service to table. A great coffee shop that I'll be back to!

Very Friendly but service is brutally slow - 25 mins for a bagel & latte. They need to speed things up. Unacceptable!

None of the spaces are marked but it's not difficult to figure out where to park. Since the lot is gravel, be aware if you have mobility issues. You can park near the entrance but not adjacent to the building so there will be at least a short walk to the door. There is also a small step up to the porch in front of the door. The pickup window is next to the entrance door which is a nice touch as the interior is small and would certainly get crowded if to go orders had to wait inside. The interior is small with table seating for about 20. There is also a small outside patio for warmer weather dining. There are several windows allowing you to look over the very near river. We got there shortly before they opened and were seated within a minute of entering. We got a nice corner table next to the river. Our servers were very pleasant. They went over the menu and specials and were very patient answering any questions. One thing to note is they do not allow substitutions, so read the menu description carefully to be sure you know what you are ordering. We wound up ordering their daily specials. Unfortunately, I forgot to take note of what they were called. One was a curry and the other included short ribs and soup. We also ordered spring rolls. The spring rolls were brought to the table in about 10 minutes. They were hot and crunchy and excellent. The dipping sauce was a touch spicy and really brought out the flavor of the spring rolls. The main dishes were brought out after about another 15 minutes. The curry dish was outstanding. The meat was tender and seasoned very well. There was a slight overall spiciness to the dish, but it quickly settled into a warm glow that simply begged for another bite. The short ribs and soup special were also outstanding. The ribs were cooked perfectly with the meat falling off the bone. The soup was flavorful and the ingredients fresh. We ate until we were stuffed and then ate a little more. We simply could not finish everything and took the last bit with us, and it was just as good reheated the next day. We also decided to take a mango and coconut milk dessert to go for later in the evening. This was a wonderful finish to a great meal. The mango was fresh and flavorful. The coconut milk and sticky rice made for a great taste texture. For such an unassuming building the dining experience would rival that of any big city. The fact it is located in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina allows it to offer an experience unrivaled by any better known restaurant. If you are anywhere near Sylva, you own it to yourself to partake of a meal at Dalaya.

For dinner I had the southwest blackened chicken Cobb salad which was very good as well. Prices were a little up there, but not too crazy. I called over to the Square Root to check the kitchen timing (it was getting on 8) and all was well. We managed a seat at the bar and this was perfect for us. We chatted a bit with the servers, who were amazing. There is a ton enjoyment for the job and the space going on here. We also met some semi-locals who were awesome. Shout out to "Kendall-Jackson"! The menu is full of local ingredients and plenty of temptations. The specials were even more tempting and we grabbed oysters to kick it off. The pepper/spicy mignonette is so so good. It's just the right mix of classic and new. I didn't need the other sauce, especially with just 6 oysters. I eyed the yellowtail snapper (snapper, right? def not tuna) special, but opted for the Korean chicken sandwich. Quite good! I could have used a stronger flavor from the kimchi and, frankly, less of a mess, but the cook was just right, the flavor profiles were excellent, and the portion was plenty. A really good sandwich! I had the sweet potato chips as my side and I can see why they are popular. We kept the leftover sauces from the oysters just so I could dip my chips. Good call! She Said: I'd like to start by complimenting the fantastic staff. They've obviously been here a while, and they're enthusiastic about this place. He Said covered the oysters (yum!) and the mignonette (double yum!), so I'll focus on the mushroom tart that I got as my meal. The rough puff was really done well, and the mushroom and goat cheese combo was terrific. I thought they would be inside the pastry, but I adapted. The whole dish was terrific, and though I thought it was too salty for me, I also know that I'm sensitive to salt. All in all, we will definitely be back! Potty Points: no trip to the potty for me on this one!
