If you are moving out of NYC, definitely use Qwik pack and ship. I had 30 big boxes in my apartment that needed to be shipped out the next day, was having all these issues with fedex online and didn't want to spend the $$ to have someone come and pick them all up. I went here and Ali was amazing!! I told him about the boxes and 5 minutes later he called a van, hopped in the car with me was carrying all my boxes down my 5 floor walk up and back to the store in the pouring rain. For no charge! Meanwhile his husband made all of the FedEx labels and they were shipped that same day! They just arrived to me in great condition. Made the mistake to try this place again. Needed to print a pre-paid shipping label for a package. Told the guy what the deal was and that it was just one piece of paper I needed printed from a flash drive and he tells me to use the computer at the front (past two xerox machines that were easily equipped to do the simple task). Quickly printed it out and then he tells me that I have to pay an internet fee for using the computer instead of the printing machines. Is this guy for real? I've had nothing but problems with this place, more particularly the skeezy short bald guy who makes every attempt to rip everyone off at all times. This place is nuts. Brought in a letter in a USPS flat rate letter envelope. They wanted $10.10. I said, but isn't it $6.45? Nope, it's $10.10, they replied. Quick google told me that flat rate envelope is $6.45 at a retail location. Guy said he doesn't care what it says, it's $10.10. I asked why they charge nearly $4 more than the listed price, he gave some lame excuse about expenses and taxes. So I walked 5 minutes to the place on Lorimer and paid $6.45 like it's supposed to be. I've used this businesses service to ship return packages. Every time I go in there I'm never assisted right away. The short bald man always has a nasty attitude like he's got some stick up his ass. He's always on the phone or on the computer in his corner and ignores people. This guy must only like certain customers or has emotional problems. I brought in a big box to return, and he assumed I was going to leave it in the middle of the store, and started to blab that people could trip and get hurt and that they'd get a lawsuit if that happened. Seriously? If he were paying attention he would've told me where to put it. I wasn't going to leave the box in the way. And I asked where would they prefer I leave it before he said that. He complained about the box, meanwhile he had a wooden pallet leaned against some boxes where someone could easily trip as well. I don't recommend this place. read more

Worst customer experience I have had at a shipping place. They made no attempt to help me resolve my issue at all. Wouldn't even approach me and attempt to deliver any customer service but basically spoke to me over the whole store from the back room. These guys are the real deal. I called a number of companies in Brooklyn to help me ship my stuff to San Francisco. I was packing "light" meaning no furniture, just clothes, shoes, pictures, etc. Most companies quoted me to move the entire apartment. I started to worry that I could never get my things shipped, plus I was concerned about wrapping the artwork that I love so much. Then, enter Ali. Oh my goodness. He gave me options and it took me about a week to finish calling companies, but he stuck in my head. I said, this guy seems reliable and trustworthy. I just felt reassured. He sent, Willy, who transported my bins to the shop. When I got to the shop, they packed everything for me - securely and safely and even offered me tea, while I sat down and relaxed. The price for everything was 1/2 of what I was expecting to spend. These guys took such good care of my things and I can't tell you how much I appreciated their kindness and care. Needed to ship a complicated order that was heavy and large across the country and could not be happier with the results. Staff made sure we got the cheapest rate possible. I RARELY write reviews. But in rare case, when a company goes above and beyond, it is the least I can do. I recently moved from New York to Los Angles. The relocation was for a job and VERY sudden (only a few weeks to move our entire lives!). My husband and I had limited time, and limited resources...we were incredibly nervous about how to get all our stuff cross country safely and at a reasonable price. After hours and hours of research - and wow, the options we found were AWFUL, overpriced and not trustworthy - we took one last ditch chance and went to the QWIK PACK AND SHIP. I've often shipped packages from there, and always liked the employees, especially Jason and Ali...they are funny, sweet, lovable and utmost professionals. I just wasn't sure if they did actual large scale MOVES and if shipping massive amounts of boxes - including a valuable art collection and delicate collectibles - across the entire country was something they'd be willing/capable of taking on... THEY WERE. And they did a magnificent job. It was an incredible relief. Moving is a bitch, and they made it seamless, allowing us to just be excited about this new stage in our life. Not only did the entire QWIK team come to our house, help us repack, find us the best options and see to it everything was taken care of at a reasonable rate...all our stuff arrived IN TIME and in PERFECT condition. And if that wasn't enough, Ali followed up with long distance phone calls to check in and see that we got our stuff and were satisfied. These guys are the real deal. After seven years in my Brooklyn neighborhood, I know that customer service of this level is a rare gift...Ali, Jason and are their team are trustworthy, kind and excellent at their jobs. They won't rip you off or mess with you; they will make your life easier and do so with a smile. These guys are obviously not in it for the money, but I'm sure the place does well, as I never seen a customer leave without a smile. A rarity when it comes to customer service in Brooklyn, or anywhere, for that matter. What a relief these guys were! If you are moving cross country, trust me, forget calling van services or pods or doing online estimates...these guys will do it cheaper, better and with heart. Love QWIK! P.S.
