Took my ring to be resized. I was told they needed to add gold to it to size it up. I was okay with it. When I left it it weighed 9.16 grams when I came to pick it up it weighed 8.41 grams and the width got smaller. That's more than half a gram of 14kt. With gold rising in price, I just wished they were honest and not just trying to blindly rob a customer. STAY AWAY!! read more

Ever get that itch to run home as fast as you can because you've got to Yelp the new Best/Worst place in the world? Yeah...here's to the latter I bring my watch in to get resized as it's brand new and the couple of jewelers I've taken it to have had issues trying to remove links from it, so I'm willing to give this place a shot. I walk in and it feels like a freaking black market...poorly dressed workers behind counters on either side of the room and an armed guard pacing the floor. No greeting whatsoever from any of the workers until I approach one and ask if they do watch resizing. I get gestured to the back of the store, having to pass "colorful" display as I go and having the guard eyeing me like I'm some young guy that has no right to be in a jewelry store in the first place. I finally get to the watch guy who is like 70+ years old with a monocle on and clipping his finger nails (one of the slivers actually landed on the counter...) I asked if he could resize my watch and how much it would be and IMMEDIATELY he just grunts "depends". I cautiously hand over my watch against my better judgement and he starts pulling out tools before anything else. I had to stop and ask, again, how much it would be and if he even accepted debit or credit cards. He brusquely tells me "$8 cash only " and when I tell him I don't carry cash he just goes "how much do you have then?". I AGAIN have to tell him I don't have any cash, only card, and he just hands my watch back and resumes clipping his nails. Even when I asked if he knew of another jeweler that could do it for card he just blatantly ignored me (which didn't surprise me by this point). Long story short I got it resized at Sears with the watch guy who helped replace my battery from my old watch a couple months back. Cost $2 more but he was much nicer and was surprised when I told him about my horrible encounter here. Was well worth the extra expense to deal with a cleaner, nicer, and more reputable worker!!!! read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND Before heading out to R and H Jewelers I called and spoke to a very sweet lady on the phone who told me they closed at 6pm. I was so excited to go engagement ring shopping with my boyfriend of 5 yrs we left work early and rushed over. I was literally a block away when I called them at 5:20 to ask where exactly they were located. A different lady picked up and in a very rude tone told us they walk out at 6 and everything was already in the safe. Upset I explained to her how I spoke to someone earlier and she said the store closed at 6. She simply restated "we walk out at 6" in a very rude and short tone. She was not willing to help us at all! R and H Jewelers gave my boyfriend and I a horrible first impression and we were extremely disappointed. Albert, although not fluent in English and a bit rough around the edges, is a great watchmaker who is knowledgeable and very reasonable with his prices. He has repaired and refurbished many Swiss watches for me over the years and I have the utmost confidence in his abilities. Don't let the gruff exterior fool you! My engagement ring was previously a silver rhodium white gold ring. I wanted something different without having to change my prior ring drastically. Joe the jeweler did a fantastic job and I love the new fresh look of my black gold engagement ring. Turn around time was very good and I was very pleased.
