TL;DR: Perfect for an elevated, non-alcohol-only post-dinner outing in Bellevue to keep the conversation alive and close out the night with delicious, elevated desserts. We had been to R&M Desserts in Cap Hill, but they've now opened up shop in Bellevue with ample seating space with a dedicated dine-in menu. We absolutely loved the Japanese Cheesecake and the Lime Tart. Both were dine-in only options and we definitely could see why--the elaborate plating and the delicacy of the texture was quite good. It's also nice that we can dine-in to enjoy the dessert rather than take it out to bring home. You can get water, tea, or wine/cocktails (including NA) as well. This is a really great add to Bellevue and hope to see new dessert selection as they settle in to their new space.

Dessert restaurant Opened last week! Owned by same couple, with their first location in First Hill. Parking- street or free 2 hour garage parking- as you go north bound on 108th, passing R+M on your left, turn LEFT behind the building. There are 12 spaces. Remember to submit your license plate through QR code. - variety of changing selections for take out. - chef's goal is to have someone for everyone to enjoy. Food- medium sweetness (not Asian light, or southern heavy on the sugar). - the strawberry frangipane tart was our favorite. Strawberry tasted fresh and gooey and frangipane was balanced. The crust was buttery crunchy, but not too hard, yummy. - berry riccota was also good. - carrot cake. Felt like a muffin cut in half, frosting in the middle and drizzled with a sweet caramel. No nuts or mix ins. - tangerine almond cake- I enjoyed, subtle bright, light and crumbly. Nothing out of this world, but good. Ambiance- romantic, dark, may be a smidgen too dark for me. I love their wall paper and decorations. Service- standard. Their staff were black with black bow tie. Value- Takeout were generally $9.50/ dessert. Location- in Ashton apartment building, directly across from Ten20 and TemSib. Recommend: if you enjoy sweets like I do, yes! Love supporting small business.

We've been to R&M quite a bit at their Cap Hill location and we're so glad they've come to the Eastside with a new flagship location! Their desserts are just as good as ever and now they have a great area for sitting and having a glass of wine with some cake or pastry. They're a wonderful couple and were spot on with the wine recommendations and took good care of us. The new space is tastefully decorated and has big windows with a great view of the block. They also mentioned that they will be doing high tea in the near future!

Went here on a whim as a fun end to my wife and I's anniversary, and I am so glad we did! The desserts were delicious and fresh, the ambiance was romantic but cozy, and the wine selection was good. My wife enjoyed their Lemon cucumber mocktail as well. The service was also excellent. I will definitely stop by again sometime.

    Berry Tiramisu!!

We had the Blood Orange tea for two, berry tiramisu, and goat cheese cheesecake. Everything was absolutely incredible. Atmosphere is excellent and service is top notch. Flavor of the cheesecake especially was out of the world, never tasted anything like it!

Visited R&M last night and am glad we found them! They opened a late night (open until 11pm) premium dessert place just a few days ago in downtown Bellevue adding an Eastside sitdown location to their Capitol Hill takeout location. It's about time someone is trying to fill the late night void - most restaurants close by 9pm around here! Walked in just before 9pm and were seated. They had five desserts available (some available as gluten free and one vegan option), along with an assortment of tea, coffee, and wine. We had four of the five desserts and all were excellent. Their blueberry frozen soufflé was probably the most unique. As we understood, the chef uses soufflé and converts it to a pipeable icing/cream used as a base with fresh blueberries on top. Not too sweet and very light! Berry tiramisu was as it sounds - a tiramisu style dessert using berry juice to soak the ladyfingers (no coffee) and layered with fresh berries. Chocolate almond torte came with a pot of ganache and a scoop of vanilla ice cream for you to construct as you like. The lemon butter cake with raspberry ice cream was baked individually in its own dish, giving a crispness on the edges that added to the moist, but medium firm texture of the cake. All the desserts were fresh and delicious. We especially appreciated that they were not overly sweet. Coffee and tea were good. Our glass of Cabernet Sauvignon had a generous pour. I think they may still be working on the ambiance. I will chalk this up to starting up and did not reduce a star for this. While clean and modern, the environment felt a little sterile to me. It needed a bit of warmth - it was fairly dark inside and you could hear a pin drop. Midway through our dessert, they put some music on, but it was so quiet, it was a bit unnerving. Someone coming out for a late night dessert (even for a premium place like this) is probably not yet ready to fully wind down. To their credit, both owners (also the chefs) came to our table to chat with us and gather feedback on their food and concept. They explained they are using the Bellevue space for their primary kitchen to supply their Capitol Hill location as well. They are also going to introduce a pre-reserved dessert tasting menu - offered both omakase style and with a menu. Sounds exciting and innovative to me! This is an upscale place to grab an excellent dessert. The service they are providing is consistent with this positioning. The prices are also consistent as we spent $100 (pre-tip) for four of us for desserts and beverages. All said, the experience was worth it - especially for having a late night option! Lastly - they also have a takeaway bar as an option to eating in. Check out and support our new option for desserts in Bellevue!

These desserts are so amazing! The textures and flavors are just so lovely and flavorful. Its been a nice change from getting a dessert thats flavor is sweet. These desserts check all the marks for me! Also, i don't drink alcohol, so i was so excited to see mocktails on their list. My boyfriend and i each got a different mocktail and loved them. I got the alcohol free Rosè, it was so refreshing. The service was great, they are very friendly and gave good information on the making of the desserts. Also the environment is just so relaxing and aesthetically pleasing. Apparently they are always changing their menu up to keep things fresh! Im really looking forward to visiting there again and just seeing what will be on the menu next! 10/10 all around, will definitely be going here again!

Really delicious! Staff was super nice. It's cozy on the inside. Perfect dessert after a good meal.

They do have a good wine list, but the pricing is HIGH. Think $25-$45 PER GLASS. Some of the wines this made sense for, but they really should consider adding a wine or two below $25 per glass. I have my WSET 2 and know a decent amount about wines so could understand why some of them were priced like this, but the whole menu being this high was strange. $32 for a glass of pinot noir didn't sit right with me. We asked to do flights so we could try a few things, but they said they were only doing glass pours. We asked for a rec for an acidic, fruity red and felt like the gal just told us the most expensive non-tannic red on the menu. Fine. For $32 a glass, I would not order what I got again. We headed to a restaurant after and got $14 glass pours that we preferred. This is a great place to go to impress someone with the chic vibes, but good wine can be found elsewhere at a fraction of the price. I do see the appeal though. It was also pretty loud when we went, so we chose to finish our conversation elsewhere.

Did not expect to like it as much as I did. We also got some mocktails which were yummy and hit the spot! Docking off one star just because the price was pretty steep for the portion, but otherwise was a nice spot.

She was so sweet and incredibly knowledgeable about the wines, and we had so much fun learning about everything we were tasting. We got to try some of their newer releases, which was such a fun part of the experience. The Viognier was definitely my top favorite. I loved it so much that I ended up getting an extra splash at the end, which was so kind of them! The Cinsault was interesting because we were told to expect cherry, Jolly Rancher, juicy and fresh flavors, but for us it came across a little more bitter and dry than we expected. The Grenache reminded us a lot of the Block 9 Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon, if you've ever tried that one. We also got the charcuterie board to snack on while we tasted. The grapes were especially crispy and fresh, and it was nice to have something to nibble on, especially because I was so hungry by the time we arrived! I had read some of the previous reviews about the board, so I came in with fairly low expectations. It definitely wasn't the most elaborate charcuterie board I've ever had and probably wouldn't be something I'd order again for $20. It felt more like a pre made snack box than something especially memorable. We still completely finished it, though! The space itself is so cute and beautifully designed. We happened to go on a sunny day and the natural light coming through the windows made it feel especially bright and inviting. It was comfortable inside and never felt too hot or too cold. I also love that Sama Cellars is right in the heart of Redmond Town Center, so it's really easy to make an afternoon out of it. There are so many shops and things to do nearby that you can easily browse around before or after your tasting. Overall, we had such a lovely afternoon. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was peaceful, and it was genuinely just a really enjoyable experience. I'd definitely come back to Sama Cellars for another afternoon of wine tasting!
