I truly did not know that it was possible to have shaved ice this amazing. You literally feel like you are on a tropical island eating it. The ice is extremely soft and doesn't hurt your teeth when you eat it like most do. We make the trip to Delano from Bakersfield just for this shaved ice sometimes because it is that good. They are very quick as well which is nice. There are a couple picnic tables for seating as well. 10/10 would recommend! read more

Snow Fun! This place brings back so many memories from when I was a kid! I remember when all the cousins would be at my grandparents house in Delano and we'd all wash cars to buy snow cones! The ice is so soft and perfect for shave ice. It reminds me of classic Hawaiian shave ice you typically only find on the Hawaiian islands. My favorite flavors are the strawberries and cream snow cone as well as a half guava half Hawaiian shave ice. Every time I am with a friend and somewhat near the area or am driving past on the freeway i always have to stop here. I grew up going to snow fun and I think I won't be going back anymore I always get my mom her favorite the guayaba natural and they have become so skimpy with the guayaba I pay $8 for a cup of shaved ice and a little bit of guayaba pieces on top like come on ! Even if I tell them nicely can you make sure I get guayaba in the middle as well and like the past few times I've gone they just say "yeah" with an attitude and when I get home I'm able to mix it around and yeah there's no guayaba in the middle I wouldn't mind paying the 8 bucks but at least make it right .. also the girls that work there ALWAYS have a nasty attitude bien amargadas ! read more

Snow Fun resides on this quaint little corner down the Main Street in Delano and during majority of year they are jammed packed with customers. With so many customers it can be challenging for parking but it is worth the walk from where ever you do park. Snow Fun sells hotdogs, burritos, nachos and such but they did not always until several years ago they bought out another place called "Gray's Chili Dog" that was down the street from them. Once these two fabulous places were combined it created a wonderful place to get both dinner & dessert. This place is definitely a landmark in Delano, everyone and their mama comes here. For food they offer Chili Cheese Fritos, Chili Cheese Burritos, Chili Cheese Hotdogs, I think you get what I'm saying here. You cannot go wrong with whichever you choose, it will love your palette in many angles. Now come the best part, the Shaved Ice!!!!!!!!! Their menu has a massive variety of flavors, I'm guessing about 30-40 flavors and then you have options to add whipped cream/cream. But it doesn't stop there people, then you have their specialties and my two favorite to get here are "Banana Split" and "Caramel Apple". The Banana Split is made with combining banana and pineapple flavors topped with whipped cream, banana chips and a cherry, freaking amazing!!! Their Caramel Apple is sour apple flavoring with actual caramel drizzled all over the top, it takes me back to my childhood when I would buy caramel apples at the carnival. When food can do that for you, you know it is amazing. They also offer ice cream and fruit cups like Mangoniada as well as Hot Cheetos with nacho cheese drizzled inside of the bag. There is so much flavors and combinations to choose from when you're looking at the menu. They even have combinations that include ice cream and the slushie syrup. It was odd at first, but it is extremely satisfying. I recommend the banana cream slushie. They offer the slushies flat or rounded, and the prices are very, very reasonable.
