    L&R Contractors

This is my third remodel, so I've been around the block with contractors and DIY projects--and I…read morecan confidently say that L&R Contractors is as good as it gets! They did an absolutely incredible job on our bathroom remodel, and the quality was worth every penny. Lawrence and his crew were fantastic from demo day to the final finishing touches. The tiling and vanity installation look amazing. Lawrence has excellent communication skills and kept everything strictly on track with our contract. Plus, when uncontrollable plan changes popped up, he was incredibly accommodating and offered great solutions. They truly brought our vision to life. Highly recommend, and we will definitely be using them again!

Amazing contractor!!!…read more Lawrence and his crew did a complete renovation of our basement to build an apartment for my parents. From the design through completion, it was a great experience. I found them here on Yelp and I obtained 3 quotes for the job. I had the quotes reviewed by an independent contractor who told me L&R's quote was what the job should reasonably cost. I called 4 references who all had a similar and very positive experience. Lawrence always communicated with me about schedule which had not been the case with other contractors. They were there working on my job every day, not showing up once or twice a week like some others. Any fluctuation to schedule or budget was discussed and agreed upon by both parties. We had a couple of unexpected plumbing delays but that was due to the original build not being up to the current code. I changed direction on a couple of design decisions and Lawrence was right there with me. The work was exceptional and the end product is amazing. I have had the nightmare contractor experience so was very cautious. This was exactly as the process should be and I plan to have them back in the fall to do more work. I give them my highest recommendation!

Although my experience with my designer Angie-Ange, my appliance rep Nick, and the quality of the work provided by the subcontractors was exceptional, I would not recommend Bray & Scarff to others. The project did not start until July 21, 2025. When I asked why there was such a long delay, I was told by the coordinator that the company had seven active jobs and were too busy! The contract stated the project would be completed around September 21, 2025, but it was not completed until April 21, 2026! The project manager never evaluated the job before it began and his communication was often demeaning and filled with excuses. He allowed all the city permits to expire and then thought I should pay for the extension fees. The project coordinator was totally incompetent. She only reported on work completed, as if I wouldn't know, and did not coordinate any service without being prompted by the designer or myself. The warehouse was incompetent. They left $4,200 of ceramic flooring on a public sidewalk for two days. When they were asked to break the pallet down and stack the tile inside the house, they responded by saying it was "too hot". When they came to pick the tile up, they gouged the base the tree in front of our house and broke the realtor sign in front of our neighbor's home; perhaps they should learn how to operate a hand truck. When the delivered the tile the second time, they crushed six slate path tiles by placing the entire pallet on top of the slate. Because the warehouse did not inventory the renovation items the deliveries were incomplete or missing items required for the subcontractors to complete their work. On two occasions I had to purchase some items at Lowes so the work could be completed. Finally, thank you for assigning Ugur Isik aa a project manager in March 2026. He was professional and worked expeditiously to get all the missing supplies delivered, the worked completed, and the permits signed off.

These people have scammed nearly EVERYONE who has crossed their path, according to the reviews on…read moretheir Facebook page. It's a husband and wife team, the husband has a few staff and the wife makes the appointments. They're in WAY over their heads with dozens of "daily deal" offers, for everything from interior house painting to lawn services to cleaning (Living Social, EverSave, DealFind, and others). The first issue: They don't show up when they say they will. I confirmed the Saturday appointment on Wednesday. I rearranged my entire home to accomodate the two-room painting job. When they failed to show, I called and arranged for a new appointment 3 weeks later. The second issue: They are the most unprofessional people I've ever dealt with. The husband/company "President," Randy, has major temper problems. Granted, they are obviously stretched very thin. But when he called on the day of the appointment to confirm my address, and ask that I had purchased the necessary paint, he assured me it'd be 3 or 4 hours, and he and his partner would finish the job. When he showed up, he was yelling about how he was just there to provide an estimate. Um, it's a prepaid job, Randy, a voucher for two rooms' worth of interior painting? No estimate necessary, I've been living in a jumbled home for 3 weeks due to the major furniture re-configuration, and why did you say you were coming to paint if you were coming to throw a temper tantrum in the parking lot about how busy you are? While in the parking lot, Randy tried to intimidate me, and threatened to charge me a $55 fee, when THEY were the ones who didn't show up to the first appointment, and when he obviously lied about his intent for the rescheduled appointment. The third issue: If you don't believe me, a random Yelp user, just google their name and BBB. The Better Business Bureau has a wide range of complaints filed against them. You get what you pay for, and in the case of K&R Construction Company, it's not a good value, even if it's 99 cents for the deal. If you value your time and sanity, AVOID.

I am so thankful that I found K&K Electric after my long time electrician retired. I have little knowledge about electrical work and my townhome required extensive electrical repairs. I asked my retired electrician to review, the first couple estimates I received, and she said the estimates were crazy expensive and not warranted. She referred me to 2 reputable electricians that were booked for weeks out. And then I was referred to Jorge at K&K Electric who truly was a Godsend. He was responsive, helpful and explained options to me that I could understand. When I presented K&K Electric's estimate to my prior long time electrician, and friend, she was surprised, and said that the estimate was good, warranted, and even a good price for the work outlined! Gerardo did the work and provided reliable, skilled work and took pictures of the work required and then again when completed. They were able to complete the work efficiently and even get the electric company's sign off, on one of the windiest days, when the electric company was inundated with power outages. They went above and beyond, arranging approval before cob, amidst a chaotic day for the Electric Company. I am so thankful I discovered Jorge and Gerardo at K&K Electric and will continue using their services and recommending their exceptional electrical services! Thank you Jorge & Gerardo!

The result changed our home with a modern, open, and refreshing look. We love our new kitchen! This is our 3rd project with Michael Nash since we first hired them in 2010. They will soon be starting work on our master bathroom. Working with any contractor will have its challenges. The project took longer than anticipated but if you can be patient, you will not be disappointed.  The quality of their work is exceptional.  They have a dedicated and experienced team who take pride in their work. They have always been flexible and accommodating of design changes along the way to make sure we're happy.  We're always amazed with the results in the end and that's why we keep returning to them.

Absolutely Exhausting Experience - A 3-Month Bathroom Remodel Took Nearly a Year…read more Our experience with Michael Nash Design Build started off great. The initial calls were professional, the consultation was helpful, and the showroom gave us confidence that we were hiring a reputable company. Unfortunately, everything changed once we signed the contract and paid our deposit. The first major issue was a payment error on their side that took over a week to resolve because no one would return calls or emails. Only after repeated messages and escalating the issue did the owner finally contact me and promise he would personally ensure things were handled correctly. That promise, like many others, did not translate into action. We were told our daughter's small bathroom remodel would take about three months. Instead, the project started roughly two months late and was not truly completed until nearly a year later. Throughout the project, communication was terrible. We constantly had to chase project managers for updates, workers frequently failed to show up when expected, schedules changed without notice, and progress was painfully slow. The workmanship and project oversight were equally frustrating. Wrong products were ordered, design details from our plans were missed, inspections failed, electrical issues impacted other areas of our home, fixtures were installed incorrectly, and several items had to be redone. We also experienced property damage, including scratched floors, damaged cabinetry, and a lack of care for protecting our home during construction. We were promised daily cleanup and professional project management. Instead, we dealt with dust, debris, delays, excuses, and endless follow-up. The only bright spot was Steele City Glass, one of the subcontractors involved, who was professional and reliable. This project caused months of stress, countless hours of my time, and far more frustration than any homeowner should have to endure. If I could do it over again, I would choose another company. Proceed with extreme caution.
