RPM gave us the best price by far for a New York Heat and AC whole house unit seven years ago. They did a great install. The unit has been great; it paid for itself in lower PSE&G bills. Yesterday, the unit did not sound right, so I called. They had a service tech come right out and diagnose the problem. They were back the next day (it had just conked out) after getting the parts needed. The labor bill was reasonable, and the parts were warrantied. RPM did a great job! Their service was great. Had a leak in the furnace. Water everywhere. The technician came for literally three minutes and told my wife, "well this is going to be easy". Got charged 197 for three minutes. 197. Knowing there was a leak, the man could've checked the air filter and replaced it (which I would've gladly paid for). The filter was drenched. The technician says" 197 is the years of experience you pay for". Experience my @$$. Experience would've told you to look at other areas and see where else the water did damage to. As a veteran, this is a slap in the face especially with the technician being smart on the phone like that. Very rude customer service. I called to request someone look at an ac unit that was recently installed and is not working properly. The customer service rep was extremely rude and combative, insisting that they would not "touch" the unit and we needed to call the person that installed it. I explained that I didnt trust that persons service and that I have used R PM for years and would like them to check the unit out for me. The rep began to belittle me and ask why I didn't use RPM for the installation and that they would not help me because I need to call the other company back. I have never heard of a repair company refusing to repair a system because they didn't install it. What does it matter? If it needs to get fixed it needs to get fixed . RPM was recommended to me by a family member. They installed our inside HVAC system back in 2012. 2 years later our condenser began to leak. About 2 years after that, the motor in our heater went. It wasn't until I called a separate company to diagnose the issues that we were told the inside HVAC unit had not been properly sealed and dust had fried the motor. In addition, I was told both the inside and outside HVAC units should have been replaced at the same time because the parts would not be compatible. It's a shame I was not told this because I had the money to do this in 2012. As a result, had we replaced just the condenser, it would have leaked again. Through RPM, the condenser would have cost us $700 alone (not including labor). Luckily, we've maintained the heater component, and are using window AC units in the summer time to get by, at least until we have the money to replace both the inside and outside HVAC units. Just too many issues that have cost us a lot of money between parts and labor since the inside HVAC unit was replaced. We now have another company that it straight forward, honest, reliable and affordable. I wouldn't recommend RPM. read more

I have used R P M for over 30 years & they never disappoint. They provide excellent service at a reasonable price. Over the years they have installed a new heat pump for me & are always responsive to any emergency. Can't say enough good things about them. read more

I called them for emergency service and the tech walked me through trouble shooting over the phone. He was patient and very knowledgeable. I later received several quotes for a new HVAC system and went with RPM. I found them very easy to work with and the price was right. read more

Never ever use this company! They charged my elderly neighbor over $200 for resetting a tripped breaker. He was literally in the house 8 mins! A crime! My husband then called to see if they could make this situation right by giving her back some amount of money and they refused. Let me add that the only reason she called this company to begin with was because their name was stickered on her air-conditioner unit which means they have serviced it prior. read more

Never use this company!! I called a week in advance To set up an appointment for air conditioning service. I had to take half a day from work to be home for the appointment. An hour after the scheduled service time, I called and was told that they moved my appointment to the following day. The woman on the phone (Gina) argued with me that someone called her the day before and changed my appointment. When I told her I had only ever made one call and spoke with someone named Cindy the week before, she said "Well, I wouldn't make a mistake like that." she then told me that they had someone call out sick that day, and the next available servicing was on Thursday. I couldn't take off from work two days in a row and Gina just kept telling me there was nothing she could do. It is unacceptable that I took a day off from work, waited around for them and then was basically called a liar by their phone person when they mistakenly changed my appointment date and time. read more

I've seen RPM driving around servicing other houses by me so I gave them a call for a heat pump that wasn't cooling. I've worked with Union Hvac service people in philly under a general contractor so I had an idea of how a unit should be troubleshot. Anyways, the service person showed up, I explained the problem and he went to take a look. Basically he took his 'sniffer' device to the outside unit, tapped it around, it beeped, he came back in and said the unit was leaking. He asked me if I wanted some freon and I said no, you just said my unit is leaking. I asked him about repairing/troubleshooting and that wasn't even an option for him. I told him to take a look at the indoor fan unit since there is the standard show up charge and he's only been here for 5 mins. Same thing with the indoor unit, made his tool beep, and informed me of same result. Never put his gauges on to actually check the unit running, but offered to have the office call for sale of a new install. Afterwards I opened up the indoor unit because the panel was on crooked. He put the new 20x20x1" filter I had laying in the room into the wrong slot so that it was jammed/folded into place. Nice work. read more

RPM came out to my place when I my furnace wasn't working. Turns out, it was my own mistake. They came out early the next day and were very professional and knowledgeable, a lot more than me. I didn't get his name but the technician quickly diagnosed the issue and now I can sleep warm tonight. Prices at this company are very reasonable and I would definitely call them again if I ever break anything again. read more

I called with warranty work that needed to be done. Rainy who answered could have yes we do warranty work and will be right out. What she did instead was inform me that she would have to charge me for labor,but that the labor maybe covered by the person who installed it. She helped me try to locate a sticker on the unit left my the installer, no luck. So Rainy took my number, called the distributer to help me find out who installed it. She had to call me back because i missed a letter in the serial number. She called me back 5 minutes later and game me the name of the place that installed it. Who said customer service in dead in this country. To Rainy's boss. Give her a summer bonus because you just got a costumer for life. read more
