I've been going to Audra owner of R17 salon for bout 3 yrs now. Although it was difficult for me due to da hit in da economy, I continue to stay true to her. Today I got a istraight japanese straightener n im in luv. She is da most caring, patient and takes her time with her clients. If she feels or u feel that the slightest thing is wrong, Audra does not hesitate to fix and make it right. I truly believe that sum other hsir stylist should tske sum tips from her. She is awesome. Her staff is smazing as well. Her partner- Eddie is great as well he is very and so hospitable. Im tellin my hair was totally crazy & didn't trust anyone wit it but I put my t rust in her anytime. If your looking for a salon or hair stylist I recommend R17 Salon and might even want to jus go ahead and change to this place. Well well worth it. U will not regret at all. I was just here and cut at least 6 inches off my hair, and it was an amazing experience! I've never gone this short before so I was nervous about how it was going to go but I LOVE how it turned out. STOP!!! Over priced for NO reason ! I went in to get my hair colored mind you I only colored the top of my head as the sides are all faded. The length of my hair is only 4 in long so I went into to get it lightened then deposit color in it. Other salons had quoted me at the most 70 dollars which is fair considering my hair is not that long at all. So I go in we don't go over a price range which was my fault but I'm thinking shouldn't be that much after 4 hrs of waiting mind u the girl messed up the 1st time and had to retouch it again, which is ok we all make mistakes but when it was time to pay and she told me total 145. I was livid how in the HELL or why is it so much. So the next day I called the Owner and explain kindly I believe I was over charged and she looks and says no that's right and she even have u a BIG discount. Excuse my French I wanted to say bitch where ?? My hair is short mind u she messed up I had a event to go to which I was late and the color didn't come out how I wanted it. All the owner can say well I think it's a fair price and all my clients are always happy!! I'm sorry but do I look like one of your clients? NO I would never recommend this place to someone and I will let's friends and family knw and my salon friends as I'm a hair dresser myself. I see this place going out of business soon. read more

She cut my hair with no appointment, literally ay my begging, just a lil trim and cleanup. She did a great job and went above and beyond what I wanted and expected. Thank you. I amend my first review!! I had great service the first time I went in off a groupon and worked with Monique. 3 months later I came back and my color did not turn out well. Monique was pleasant and tried to fix the color. Well, it took hours and during that time the owner "checked up" on us several times and then started to be very rude and unprofessional with me - even having the nerve to admonish me about how much it was costing in materials and that I should have brought a picture in to get an "exact" idea. Whatever..the color was really bad and they knew it. I am not a difficult customer at all and was so shocked. Back to Salon Bravissimo I go - I had been going there for 10 years and this was a good reminder as to why. read more

I have to sing the praises of Georgia. She is an awesome stylist who really takes the time and care to help you get the hair-cut you want. Even if you're not sure what that is :). I had been groupon-salon-hopping when I first came to R17--with a groupon. Georgia sat me down and did a thorough consultation with me before she ever touched the scissors. She verified that we had the same definition of how much hair she was going to cut off, my 2 inches were the same as her two inches. I had some general ideas about my cut and color, but really needed someone's input. Georgia gave me the best cut and color ever, oh and she gives an outstanding neck massage too! My mom didn't recognize me when she first saw me, and I received great compliments from all of my friends and family. Needless to say, I have stopped groupon-salon-hopping and am now a Georgia devotee. I must also mention that Georgia is truly a great person. I feel like I'm going to see a friend every time I go to see her. Oh, and her prices are very affordable, even on my tight budget. The other people at R17 are always friendly, and I see some really cute hair from the other stylists as well. So yes, I would certainly reccomend R17. read more

I found Rebecca @ R17 to be friendly and helpful. She made sure I was comfortable, offered me something to drink, and then helped me figure out what to do to my hair. I recently switched Salon's to find something closer to home and found R17. I have been going to Rebecca and she is amazing! My first visit I was nervous because I had very choppy uneven layers that desperately needed to be fixed but I didn't want any length taken off. She fixed the choppiness without sacrificing the length and my hair looked great! She gets your vision as far as color and does exactly as you want. I am glad I saw this salon and Rebecca! read more

I have tried many salons in Sacramento, but Georgia is by far the most professional stylist and really a great person to be around. If they had ten starts, I'd give her ten!!!!!!! Also, the salon is very tastefully done and easy to be in. read more

I have been seeing Audra she is a wonderful experience she's very knowledgeable experienced and a great personality and super personable .. I went to her with severely damaged hair she has been very patient with me helping me fix my hair and she's very honest and works with me ...I've had several cuts and she is always willing to fix my hair and lets me know what works and what doesn't. My Review is for Addie Nichols. She is the most amazing hair stylist and colorist I have ever been too! I came to her with a mixture of various box dyes I had put in my hair over time. Unfortunately the last time I did my hair it looked almost black. I found Addie and told her I wanted to eventually be blonde. In only 2 visits she was able to safely bring me to the blonde that looked great on me. She always has great suggestions and is extrememly friendly and talented. I try and send all my friends and co workers to Addie for any color and cut service they are looking for! read more

I absolutely loved my facial done by Monica at R17, it was the best facial I have ever received. She has a special touch, I was instantly relaxed from the moment she started the facial process. One thing that was unique about this service is she added a leg massage. She gave a awesome massage throughout the service. I walked away very pleased. I visited R17 today for a keratin treatment from a living social coupon. I drove from sonoma to sacramento as the deal was really good, 99 dollars! I over estimated the distance and got there about an hour early, they took me early (nice) and explained the whole process to me. addie was my stylist and she is just great! All of the staff seemed quite friendly and very professional. love the results, this is the first time I have had this done and am planning on returning in 10 weeks or so for my next one. well worth the hour and a half drive, they gave me 50% off coupons so next visit will hopefully be with girlfriends who want to try this as well. thanks addie, great job! read more

Ginnymae is the best! She has been doing my hair for over a year now and I am always impressed by her work. Ginnymae helped pick a color that was flattering and natural looking. I have never been disappointed with her work. My hair is both fine and dry, making it difficult to hydrate without weighing it down. I went in tonight for my first hair cut in like 6 months.... due to my previous hair dresser. I was lucky enough to be in Georgia S. hands. She is amazing and I love her. I got a new hair style this evening with bangs, and she took her time and continued cutting and styling them until they were just right. I had shoulder length hair that just looked boring and blah. I got a angled bob from Jessica and love it. She took her time and made sure every hair was taken care of. Being a new client, she told me to call her if I had any concerns or needed something trimmed as we are both getting to know each other. I will definitely be going back to Jessica and look foward to now getting some highlights along with a great haircut. Jessica's cost for a haircut is very reasonable. My review is for Megan Thrasher at R17. I met her a few months ago thanks to the local CBS coupon for Coppola Straightening. Just during those 3 hours we were like old friends. Megan will talk to you like she's known you her whole life!!! Megan makes you feel at home, she explains everything, and my 8 year old is also her client. AMAZING ESTHETICIAN/SKIN CARE! Vanessa is truly the gem in this salon. I have been to so many estheticians over the years and tried every skin product on the shelves, but I still suffered from major adult acne, skin pigmentation from sun damage, large pores, and deep scarring from acne over the years. Not only was Vanessa able to quickly stop my breakouts altogether, but she also developed a routine that was tailored to MY skin. She finally got me using the correct skin care products, my dark spots are almost completely gone, and now she has even started to smooth out my scars (I never thought any of this was possible). For over 15 years I have worn makeup every single day because I was embarrassed to show my bare skin, but after working with Vanessa, I finally have the confidence to walk out the door without anything on my face at all. The changes I have experienced are truly amazing and I am so excited to continue working with her as I approach my wedding day. Will NEVER come back! Got feather hair extensions put in a while back by Brittany (which btw is awesome and really nice) and came in today to get them taken out. When I first walked in no one greeted me. Then I asked the lady with the green hair, who was lying on the couch, (says her name was Ally) if she worked here. She said yes and then I asked if she could take my feather extensions out. She lazily said "I don't have the tools, you'll have to wait for Brittany" the lady at the front desk told her that they did and to take them out for me (which by the way was nice and offered me water). Ally ended up taking them out for me and charged me a fee which I didn't mind but I asked why she was charging me (only took out 2 feathers and was told I can get them taken out free) and she said "for a second of my time" I said ok and asked if she had change for $20 she said no and basically made a big deal about me going to get change up the street. Told her I couldn't because I had to be at work soon. Long story short she was very lazy and unprofessional! Wouldn't recommend her at all! read more
