Joey, our server, was phenomenal!!! My dad and I had a reservation for 2 people at 5pm today (A Friday) and he went to the wrong location. My dad came about 15 minutes later and Joey was so sweet and immediately came and checked on me to make sure I was comfortable and get some orders in when I was by myself. Once my dad came he ending bring my mom, making it three people and Joey was totally flexible and provided great service! My wife and I came here for a lunch time sushi craving on a Thursday. We shared a bento box: grilled chicken over fried rice that comes with gyoza, salad, and miso soup. Also shared 2 orders of nigiri salmon and 1 order of Philly roll. Sorry we don't remember the name of our server but she was absolutely welcoming. She checked with us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy lunch. The interior of this place has a very artsy, romantic vibe to it. We had a choice to sit at a table or booth so we chose a booth and the seating was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend RA Steak & Sushi, perfect for date night, casual eating, or even a business lunch. Prices here tend to be on the higher end since they only serve top premium quality sushi. I was born and raised in Hawaii so I know fresh seafood when I taste it. I popped in for a quick lunch today and I was excited to see their new menu of special items so I decided to try a few, the chicken and vegetable dumplings, and the Wagyu fried rice. When I first walked in, I was disappointed to not see the sweet Destiny because she's just a highlight of every visit and then she popped up with her radiant smile. The best part of every lunch! The good today was delicious! I always love the soup and salad here, delicious ginger dressing! The dumplings were perfectly prepared, I appreciated Destiny's suggestion to dip into Ponzu sauce. Loved that. I also loved the Wagyu fried rice. The meat was tender and tone perfectly prepared. I did prefer it with added flavor from ginger sauce, ponzu and lime juice. I've never seen a restaurant change its menu as often as Ra. They majorly limited their options this last time I was there and got rid of many of my favorites. My favorite thing on the menu is their garlic edamame. My favorite thing they used to have on their menu years ago was the agedashi tofu. Happy hour with bartender Destiny at 3:00 on a Tuesday, a perfect patio day for some hot sake and rolls! I had to write a new review because this was such a positive experience. Destiny took the time to help me customize a roll's ingredients and I really enjoyed the result. Besides the great value of $3 hot sake and edamame, destiny remembered me from a prior patio visit which made it extra special. I loved that I was able to enjoy a version of one of their specialty rolls which really appealed to me. Companion ordered the 3 fish poke bowl, with half rice and half salad. Destiny indicates The half and half as a good choice because it comes on a wider bowl and is easier to eat. I noticed when I had previously ordered the poke bowl on just rice, it was served in a narrow bowl and the toppings were very crowded. Friend enjoyed it (ordered even though they had never had poke before), and scarfed it all down minus a few edamame beans left behind. My Crazy Monkey roll version was a sub of normal cream cheese for preferred crab mix. It's now an awesome roll with mango and avocado with fresh salmon. I loved it except the pieces were cut so large it was difficult to eat in one bite. In the future I will order this cut smaller. Otherwise, its my new favorite! Kudos to RA, again! Service was good, our waiter was attentive, food came out fairly quickly. The ambiance is very nice, a good date night spot. For the food, we got a couple appetizers from the HH and regular menu. We got the HH Wagyu sliders and on the regular menu, we ordered the Ra Ra Shrimp, garlic edamame to share. Ordered the hibachi filet mignon and the Chashu Ra Men. The food was ok, the main entrees did not come out temperature hot. Might've been sitting out on the water lamp for a while. The ramen wasn't steaming hot either and the broth was bland. We to RA for the lunch specials and was pleasantly surprised-- the food was delicious and gave quite a large portion especially for the lunch special. I got the California roll bento box and teriyaki chicken for my choice of protein. Between the miso soup, salad, veggie and shrimp tempura plus the chicken teriyaki and rice I was stuffed!! But what really stood out is the excellent service I received from Destiny. She was attentive but not annoyingly so and when she said she was going to do something she did it quickly even though she was the only server with multiple tables. What happened to this place? Everyone looks miserable, staff looks like they are not managed well. People standing at host stand with no host. Servers look miserable, they don't cover each other tables which they should. My son and I literally saw and heard people wait for their server and or food. One couple walked out. A single woman dining alone literally left because no one would help her. Manager wasn't managing and they knew it was so bad they gave us coupons for a free appetizer next time we came back. Ambience was very dark. and I can't understand why every single table in there was as sticky as could possibly be. I don't know what coating they put on the table tops, but it turned me off. Everything was battered to perfection and absolutely delicious. The rolls had so much flavor, and the specialty rolls had different options so there was something for every taste, bud. I actually really liked that. There were more than just sushi options here as well. You could've chosen teriyaki, or filet mignon and lobster. I ended up ordering appetizers, entrées, and my friend's birthday was this past weekend so they celebrated us with ice cream and pound cake. Absolutely 10 out of 10 will be back again. Who are writing all of these 5 stars reviews? Bots? I dine here about twice a week, and sub par is the best way to describe this location. It's typical to wait ten minutes before you are greeted even on a slow day. Since they were purchased by STK, the food quality has gone down hill. The only good thing about this location is one sweet hostess that seems to run the building and make up for the lack luster servers. Btw, ambiance is everything. They have these hanging red ball light fixtures from the ceiling, and they can't even put forth the effort to change the bulbs in the ones that are out. They've been out for months and it looks cheap. If you want good, high quality sushi somewhat in the same neighborhood, go to Sushi Crush. You'll thank me later. read more

We made a reservation because they had a Veterans Day special which looked great. There were a few people waiting when we arrived, lots of tables open, but we were sat immediately. Then the wait started. We got our drink and food orders in then waiting 35 minutes. Our appetizer and sushi never showed up, but we both had hibachi filet mignon and shrimp. The food was really good. When we were close to finished our server said she didn't know why the sushi and appetizer were taking so long- we asked to cancel them. We inhaled our food and then waited for the check. The table next to us had to ask for someone to get their server to get their check. Tons of empty tables, and I counted 8 tables that needed to be bussed. Last night we had a birthday dinner here! We came on about 7:30 pm. The place was really busy. Which is good. We got seated on the sushi area. Our server came over and took our drink order. The ambiance in this place was very dark, it was really dimmed. It's seemed kinda romantic. Cute, but it was a birthday. Our food took a while to come. We ordered Miso Soup, Filet Migon with shrimp. About 10 minutes after the server left out table he gave back to let us know they where it of Filet Migon su they have New York Steak. We said okay no problem. In the mean time our sushi came .
