Ventured here in a whim since it was close by a really good brunch spot. The drinks were a bit on the light side but the food was tasty overall. We got the TFK and lollipop rolls and some ikura and blue toro. The staff and service were both very quick Overall will return to try out more.

I actually saw this place on a FB reels and decided we should give it a try. We ordered a Brussels & Cauliflower appetizer, Miso Soup and two sushi rolls. The Pacific Heat Roll was outstanding, the other items were just OK. Maybe I am hard to impress but when my bill is $63 dollars for the four items listed above I expect to be a little more wowed by both the service and the food, which was not the case. I was not as impressed with the sushi options, I feel like the Kabuki in Tempe Marketplace has a better selection and an amazing happy hour! I did like the Miso soup, the mushrooms made it even better. The Brussels & Cauliflower app was just OK but definitely not worth $15 dollars. The biggest negative for me was that since the place was a Smoke BBQ restaurant for many years prior, the wooden walls have absorbed the smell so while eating your sushi the BBQ smoke smell throws off your taste buds some and my clothes smelled for a few hours after also. With so many sushi places out there, I probably won't be back to this one.

This place has a vibe, a very enjoyable vibe going on. Relaxed, social. The food is fantastic. We had a excellent server who was very patient and thoughtful, his name was Dylan.

I'm glad that there's an amazing sushi place near cave creek that is a little bit more upscale. What stood out was the ambience, decor and service. They started with a towel that was rehydrated with water which I feel is very classy and a good mark of a quality restaurant. The drinks and cocktails were tasty. We tried a few sushi rolls which all were very tasty and definitely worth a second trip! Being a higher end sushi restaurant it is a little more expensive. But if you're looking for a good night out with something new, this is a place to try at least once.

We've been waiting for this spot to open, so of course we had to try an array of their options. I am happy to report that you can't go wrong with any option. We ordered edamame, rock shrimp tempura, bbq spare ribs, some nigiri, and the chuck Norris roll. All delicious. They've redesigned the space from the previous restaurant, and it definitely feels more spacious now. The only critique my brother had was wanting to play music more fitting to the vibe as opposed to the current pop hits of today, but everything else was wonderful

The bussin roll was AH MAZ ING!! Thanks to the kind server - I said it was dealers choice between 3 different options- needless to say, I was very happy with her choice! I sat on the patio which is great for people watching and bad drivers .

    Beautiful and eligant!

I dont rate things unless they truly are deserving to be recognized. This place is definitely one of those places. So recommend worth visiting. From the beautiful ambiance, incredible staff, award winning chefs and delectable dishes... Tomu San Sushi is a MUST!!! 100 STARTS

Food was subpar at best. The miso sea bass wrap had no fish just a bunch of sauce and noodles. Sashimi was cut so thick hard to eat.

We were very sceptical at first but the recommendation was spot on. We were seated right away and our server Bela approached immediately. She was very friendly and went down the menu telling us all about the specials and her recommendations. We needed no recommendations because we were there for one thing the Bei special. The special was an assortment of various rolls assembled beautifully making each piece stand out. The first bite was divine and as we worked around the ring of rolls they got better and better. The sauces brought perfect harmony and complemented the fish. The sushi was incredibly fresh not having the fishy order lingering. The rolls melted in your mouth like butter leaving you satisfied. It was so good we placed a second order. Bela stopped by frequently checking on us and also telling us about the restaurant and the area and provided a friendly atmosphere that you do not often get in northern Midwest. The Spider Roll was very good except for the sauce on top that did not suite our palate but after removing the sauce it was fantastic. The Hot Mama Roll was also amazing. The flavors went well with the Yuki Mango Nigori Sake. We also tried some of their beers and spent a while catching up. Belas service was second to none and made this reunion fabulous. The sushi at Bei was better than 95% of our sushi restaurants in my state and the price was very good. They also have a cute cat robot that delivers food! Thank you Bela we hope to come back again on our next trip to Arizona to try more food.

It's well placed amounst popular resorts, endless choices of golf courses, high end shopping, Spas and other eateries. For our of state visitors it is located in an area that provides a great destination for conferences and vacation launching point to enjoy what Scottsdale has to offer. Parking 5/5 There is a great turn-about like drop off near the front door I took advantage of. Other semi private parking is located along the west and south in front and behind the restaurant. Ambiance 5/5++ After passing through the foyer, you're greeted by staff receptionists who quickly get your experience started. The restaurant opens up to a large open dining space that includes an impressive "baresk" wrap around serving counter which allows guests to experience and interact with the kitchen staff. Adjacent to the main dining area is a very trendy wraparound bar and a little more intimate lounge with tables for guest meetups, date nights, after business meetings or relax after playing 18 holes at a nearby course. Facing the bar is the wine cellar, a floor to ceiling long glass presentation of their collection. There is a separate special event room in the back for hosting private dinners with special event reservations. Tonight this room was reserved for Yelp's "Elite All-Stars" and hosted by the Roka-Akar and the wonderful Phoenix Yelp Community Manager (CM) Francheska J, I popped my head in to say hello to her and she was kind enough to give me some merch. Congratulations to Roka-Akor for launching this beautiful Resturant in Scottsdale and to Yelp and Francheska for putting on a great experience for your Elite All-Stars! When we walked in it had a very fishy smell, so it kind of made us second guess our choice. But we went for it anyhow. The greeter/server was very pleasant and sat us. It was very clean inside with ample space between seat. We browsed through the menu and started with our usual edamame and pot stickers. The edamame was salted well throughout where a lot of places just put the salt on top only. We ordered a couple varieties of sake which were both good. Out of all of the things we ordered the karange skewer was just a little more oily than were use to, but still good. The spicy salmon roll had really great flavor and the lollipop roll was probably one of the better versions that we have had. The musubi was giant to say the least, it was good, but offered a bit too much rice. Overall the food and service was great and we were very happy that we ended up here!

We were nearby for a show, and decided to stop in on a Wednesday evening for a late dinner with some friends. They have a good happy hour menu, and my friends ordered off there, but I was craving sushi so I got the nigiri omakase. It came with miso soup, which I enjoyed, definitely hard to go wrong there. The sushi itself was decent, nothing crazy, but definitely better than grocery store quality. The tuna and salmon pieces were a little fishy, maybe not the freshest, but it was also quite late (~10pm) so I wasn't expecting too much. Beautifully presented, and the cuts were quite large which was nice! The food came out pretty fast, and the service was pleasant. The restaurant vibes are pretty dark, and moody. The bathroom was kind of scary personally, super dark and a little messy, so I decided to wait till I got home. Overall, a solid experience, and definitely a good choice if I am in the area.

A delicious Miso soup accompanied the Bento Box, not too salty or heavy feeling. Our Bento Boxes came out relatively quick, the presentation was excellent, every item was fresh (sashimi melted in our mouths), and perfectly prepared.
