I have been to the Rabbit Hole twice and already it has instantly became my favorite bar. This coming from a girl who does not even normally like to go to bars. The Rabbit Hole is located along the bars on Main St, Alhambra, CA. Hard to see while driving by but the sign as you're walking is very welcoming. Inside, it's like a hallway and it's not too big but they do great accommodating for large parties. I recently had my birthday party here and Scott and his staff very much made sure my guests and I had a good time. All my first timer to the venue really loved it and even asked to come back some other time. We got a section on the couches which seated all 20 of my guests. There's 2 sections of couches, one of each side once entered and then the bar in the back. Though they do not serve food (yet), we were allowed to bring outside food in as long as it was not odorous and messy. Perfect solution: french fries! As you may know, alcohol makes me very hungry. The drinks are reasonably priced. They have happy hour EVERY day from 8PM-10PM. $2 beer and $4 wells. Yes, that includes Fridays and Saturdays nights, everyone. The flaming shots are extremely strong. I cannot take it, though I did try.. I really tried. The decorations is really cute. I love the grass ceilings. Unlike other bars down Main St, people here are a lot more friendlier. Both men/women let me squeeze through to order drinks whereas at other bars, I'm standing two rows behind and waiting impatiently. Most of the time, I get so impatient, I leave. I liked the Sub-Zero the most. It's very fruity and sweet even down to the last slurp. The Mad Hatter comes in second. The MarshMelt was really hard to drink. I'm such a weak sauce. They play good music that I know and there's a projector on the ceiling and they show the games when it's on. Parking is by street or the parking structure on Main St and 1st which is free. Yay for Originality in DT Alhambra and insanely fun atmosphere. It's rather intimate size but cool decorated walls, ceilings, doors and signs. What's even better are THE DRINKS! Holy moly! They can pretty much make anything with the ingredients at hand. Hennessy sidecar is a favorite and signature here. I had this mystery drink with flames! It was fantastic! A bit strong but worth the $$$. Too bad they were out of cotton candy martini from the yelp photos but will be back to try it. Service is super friendly from bouncer to the bartenders. Even the crowd is energetic and hip with people arriving and leaving. **Gentlemen leave caps and scandals at home. I didn't see any rabbit in the hole but definitely had an awesome time at the rabbit hole! ID4 2013 my good buddy Schel X and I decided to give this place a go! The place is very nice not too big but definitely not a cracker box. The decor is chic, lighting is pretty good. Our bartender Carly did a phenom job tending to our needs, Beers never run dry and cocktails are made stiff just the way I like. Since it's the fourth of July and my buddy and I wen't all the way here to celebrate, Carly & I convinced him to do a Fireball shot with us - the hot & sweet "cinnamony " bite is just the right ingredient to get our night off to a rolling start. We ended the night with our favorite bevies in hand, I can't say enough good things with the service that we've had. What a dope bar in Alhambra! Came in on a random Friday night and was pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere and the drinks. The front area is decorated like a library, with a bookshelf and floating books on the ceiling. There's a ton of booth seating in the front where you can chill and hang out. The middle section is where the bar is, and I love how the glasses are tilted! Really reminds me of alice in wonderland. There's even grass on the ceiling with upside down rabbits on there hah. I told the bartender to make me something with whiskey, and he made me dragons breath which I highly recommend. It was a little bit of sweet and sour, and was just a really well mixed drink overall. So good! They even spray and burn absinthe on top for a kick which is cool. The bartender was really good too, watching him was like watching a show as he made those drinks. The back area has a graffiti like painting that is lit up in blacklight and looks so cool and fitting to the wonderland theme. Super neon and bright, seriously some trippy stuff! Love everything about this bar! Besides the girl who threw up right next to me... But that's a different story lol. The bartender felt bad so he took off the ginger beer from my check thank you for that lol! I will definitely be back. This place is so cool! We came by for Happy Hour on a weekend night and had a blast! We had a big group and they were very accommodating. When we first walked in, the 1st room was like a library, with books hanging from the ceiling. This was where our group hung out as there were booth seating around the perimeter of the room, extra booth seating and cocktail tables around. I really liked the high back lounge chairs too! The next room offered the bar area with a very cool upside down ceiling. The ceiling had grass and bunnies hopping around. That was really cool. They had some cool old pictures of Alice in Wonderland and more booths for seating. They have all the drink specials and HH specials. We first asked for the cotton candy cocktail but that was seasonal. :( Hunny got a bunch of beers because draft was only $4! What a steal! I ended up getting an old fave, Amaretto Sour. It's like a tootsie pop! The service we got was great! Stephanie is a doll! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Parking is available in the 1st street parking structure across from the library or in the old Alhambra Place parking, and there are lots of street parking too. They have Happy Hour everyday from 8 pm-10 pm. The only thing that was weird to me was that open at 8 pm. So make sure to eat around the area, then come for drinks. Had such a great time meeting new ppl and catching up with some old friends! I parked in the movie theater parking structure, which is free for 4 hours, but there's also a parking structure behind the rabbit hole building where u can park for free w/no specified time limit! Rabbit hole opens at 8pm and their awesome happy hour lasts from 8pm until 10pm, so don't miss out! Friendly bartenders, excellent deals on drinks, & cool crowds. There's bar seating & tables w/cushioned sofa chairs where you can relax and just unwind. Love the Alice in Wonderland theme! Upon entering, you will feel as though you've entered another dimension. From the exaggerated, eccentric decor and props lining the walls and ceilings to the neon colored graffiti art fluorescing under the black lights made me feel as though I had really been transported to Alice's Wonderland. The environment is visually stunning and so stimulating! I adored the upside down hanging lamps & books, the miniature door, the astro turf ceiling w/white bunnies, and all of the other whimsical furnishings! The rabbit hole was quite successful in recreating the bizarre dynamics of Alice's Wonderland. You'll adore this place. I had such a relaxing and fun night with friends here, but admittedly, the music was unnecessarily loud. It was rather difficult to hear one another without yelling to an extent. I'm not a big drinker, but this is the go-to spot around town for entertaining visitors and friends! Love the topsy-turvy Alice in Wonderland theme... Simple, silly and just super fun! The drinks are STRONG and eye-catching! They keep getting creative w/their concoctions and drink names. You must have a DD! (Or take Über/Lyft/call Mom! Haha jk.) It's always interesting to see what other people are ordering. My fave is Dragon's Breath! The most impressive one I've seen is "LSD" shot. Staff and barflys are generally friendly (can't speak for all customers) so you're more than likely to have a good time. I like the music as well. My friend used to DJ there on Friday/Sat nights. Not sure what it's like now but I'm sure it's just as good. I've been here multiple times and had all good experiences, with the exception of one fussy bartender years ago. I think their daily happy hour starts at 7pm -closing. I will verify and update this info soon. The closest parking structure on first street by the Chamber of Commerce (across from the library), or you can test your luck w/street parking, but there are other structures/lots within walking distance. An unexpectedly delightful bar/lounge on the revitalized stretch of Main St in Alhambra. My friend and I were in the area for ramen at Kosuke and were on the way to Menchie's down the street for some after dinner froyo. My friend was looking up interesting-sounding bars in the area and found this place, which was listed as a "dive" bar. Perhaps it may have been in a previous incarnation, but divey it certainly is not! They did a lot of work to the place and it looks all re-done, inside and out. The sign outside looks like a giant book, and they continue the Alice in Wonderland-style whimsy inside. The front room, which is more loungey, looks like a library, with large chairs and sofas and bookcases. You realize it's no ordinary library when you look up to see lamps hung upside down on the ceiling with books dangling next to them. As you approach the bar you notice all the astroturf covering the walls, which continue up the ceiling for more upside-down shenanigans, this time little fuzzy bunnies and plants, cool. I immediately liked the look and feel of the place, and we were further delighted to discover that their happy hour goes from 8-10pm (they open at 8). $3 drafts, woohoo! We struck up a conversation with the very nice and friendly bartendress and we had such a nice time that we came back a couple of weeks later and invited a few more friends to join us. What started out as a late happy hour turned into a truly late night--we didn't get out of there til like 1:30am, oy vey. On a school night, no less! But I guess that's what happens when you fall down the Rabbit Hole, lol. I've been here a few times but usually during their Wednesday HH all night for their $5 wells. I've ordered other drinks too and everything was just okay for me. Every time I've been here its been kind of dead. The bartenders are awesome and the music can be a hit or miss. I can see how this place COULD be busy but so far the times I've came has been only filled with people at the bar. Drinks are decent and can be strong which to me is a plus. A lot of space within the area so you can lounge around and I'm sure people use to dance in the empty space once the alcohol hits them. Parking can be found in the structure behind the building or sometimes I park where the Sprouts is. Not that difficult or just uber! Overall, the vibe is okay. Been to better bars but if you want a chill night and not have to deal with too many people this is the place to go. IDK how it is on the weekends though. My friends and I wanted to go out, but didn't feel like driving out to LA or doing anything too crazy, so we decided to try Rabbit Hole. Over the years, I've heard many good things about it and I know at one point was very popular among the Asian crowd. Now, not so much anymore. We came on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy, packed enough so that we had to wait for a table to sit. Luckily, we got a corner booth that was large enough to seat the nine of us. The crowd was mostly Hispanic and the music was mainly 80s-90s rock. Rabbit Hole is a lounge, but it feels like a very small club, cold and mediocre. The only redeeming thing is that their drinks are delicious. I didn't know what to get so I told the bartender what I liked and disliked and he told me he knew exactly which cocktail to make me. He made me their Black Dahlia, which was so yummy, I ordered another one! I also tried Tiffany W.'s Mad Hatter cocktail, which was also good and tasted like ice cream. We ain't young anymore and boppin' around with just-barely-21-year-olds doesn't seem so appealing nowadays. Yes, nowadays the only time we hit the clubs is when we go to Vegas. For all other times, we come to lounges, like the Rabbit Hole, and reminisce about the good ol' days when we were just-barely-21. Anyway, I heard that the owner of this is place is one of the guys who started GO Pro or something like that. The interior reminds me of the clubs, but on a much smaller scale. The vibe is sexy-quirky-laid-back, the bartenders are friendly, and the drinks are yummy. They're still keepin' the top-shelf stuff real here and their signature mixed drinks are potent and tasty. Love this place!! The decor is sooo freakin cute and have you looked at their ceiling?!! There's grass and little rabbits on it! I absolutely love the concept of this bar. Alice and Wonderland themed, even down to the drink menus and the little flask/beakers to hold flavors and fruit (I believe it was fruit .. I was kinda drunk) Happy hour was great! My mixed drinks were only $4 and if you check in on yelp, you get a free Hot Shot, which tastes like the watermelon + lucas mexican candy lollipops. so good. And the bartender Niko also experimented with a shot and let my friends and I be the first ones to try it ! Niko was a great bartender- really attentive and sweet. Brittany is also really sweet. The beers were only $2 and they weren't small little glasses of beer. These glasses were legit! Sergio was the security out in front and he was also really sweet! He even gave me a free shot since we were out celebrating my birthday! The music was fun to dance to even though there was no dancefloor hahahah, the furniture and ambience is awesome and I love the theme. AND the entire night my bill was less than $15! It's a small spot, there's some seating area - booth wise with low tables, and tables along the bar. They make drinks with liquid nitrogen *cue smoke.... ooOoOOO Ahhhhh. After that, it just is another drink, but it's so pretty!!! There used to be a check in offer for their spicy watermelon shot! What happened to that?!?! Really love this place! Small hole-in-the wall lounge on Main St. in Alhambra! Parking: I usually park at the Cha for Tea parking lot and then walk across the street. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Cover: NONE! YAY! Drinks: Cheap!!! Usually get a beer for about $4-5 and it's even cheaper during happy hour! They have a wide variety of mixed cocktails as well. Ambiance: This place has the BEST DECOR. It's Alice in Wonderland themed, very dim, with lights flashing everywhere! Places to sit, stand, and also dance. The DJ is super sick. A good mixture of House music, old school, and hip-hop! LOOVE IT. This place is cute, small but cute! Parking: park in the structure across the street from the library! it's free! that or you can try your luck with street parking or the parking lot behind charlie's trio. DECOR: The seating area in the "front" might seem a little awkward because it was quieter but i'm not sure if that's because those two tables were reserved? in any case, it was decorated with walls of bookshelves filled with books giving it that fairy book theme of alice in wonderland (: i remember it being a bit dimmer too. The bar area was cozy with a grass lined ceiling and bunnys that added that quirky alice in wonderland detail. I think one of the bunnys fell off the ceiling tho.. it was just chilling on it's side on the floor ): The booth/seats along the wall are actually a LOT cozier than they look! Be careful tho! there's a railing at the bottom of the booths, my friend and I kept hitting it hahah I ended up knocking the table and putting the little tea light candle out on our table :X whooops! They also have flat screen tvs inside! It's a good place to catch up with friends, wouldn't be a bad idea to plan a bday/celebration here. One star for decor of the place. I love the rabbits up on the ceiling and the crazy looking wall towards the bathroom. Second star comes because the place had some good music playing on Friday night. Now the rest of the stars were lost when I went up to the bar. I was pretty excited being that I had spent Friday reading yelp reviews about their drinks and hearing about how delicious they could be. Unfortunately once the girl bartender got to me, she had a "I don't want to be here" look. I get it, I am not a hot guy but just cause I am not a doode doesn't mean I won't tip you well. So she comes over and I was getting 6+ drinks. Being that I was the one closer to the bartender, I was the one reciting the list. The bartender seemed pretty annoyed that I was placing more than one drink order. Once it was my turn to pick my drink, I asked her what she would recommend and she said "I don't know " HHMMM ok?? that was not cool. So then I glanced quickly at their drink menu and picked one of their drinks and then she tells me she can't make it because they had run out of most of the items. Sadly I had already been prepared for something like that to happen since Yelpers had mentioned that happening to them before but gesh, it was only 10pm and you are out of items?! I would think they would be more prepared and better stocked being that I have yet to go to a bar that serves drinks made with fresh ingredients and never had a problem with them running out of fresh ingredients, even on a busy Friday night. I don't mean to compare the Rabbit Hole to other bars but regardless they should have enough ingredients to at least get them to midnight. With that being said, I was a bit disappointed so then I asked her to make me a Rabbit Habit. She informed me that it's on the weak and sweet side and she would be happy to make it if that was what I was looking for but I wasn't so I asked her for one more option and she recommended the Walking Dead (I swear, I am not complicated when ordering drinks). The Walking Dead drink was not delicious at all. The best way to describe it would be lots of syrup and like a AMF but not tasty at all. The Walking Dead consist of vodka, tequila, rum, gin, fresh lime, pomegranate, cranberry and ginger beer. Regardless I downed it but wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I did not go back to the girl bartender either (nothing personal but I do prefer a bit of a friendlier service, after all, I am tipping you and I did nothing to you to deserve attitude) The guy bartender on the right side of the bar was a lot more friendlier and approachable. He was cool and helpful. I did not know what else to order but being that I wanted to get more of their custom made drinks, a friend of mine placed an order and surprised me with a tastier, fruity drink but that too was thick and drowned with syrup. Not a fan of the syrup/sweet stuff here. I did not bother asking the bartender to make me a different one or make it different. It is a bit difficult to try to do that being that the place was crowded and I know he would be loosing tips if I asked him to remake me another drink. I just took note and figure this place uses lots of syrup in their drinks. Prices for drinks are affordable. The place itself is pretty small and it can get pretty cramped especially over by the bar since it is so close to the back end of the wall and also has a seating section there. I did my best to not step on anyone or spill my drink just walking through. We were lucky enough that through a friend, we had a reserved table over by the DJ booth. This def helped out a lot because I wouldn't know where to go or stand or sit in this place. This bar also has only one bathroom for each (one for guys, one for girls). Being that it is a small place I can't hold it against them but be ready to wait as usual but here a bit longer, for the girl's bathroom. Nice new little bar that opened down my street. Casually found it with my friends as I walking home from 38. Staff seemed nice and eager to have people come in, that they even told me that I like them on Facebook I get a free shot! Didnt care that I was in shorts and sneaker either on a friday night. Cool, so no dress code! They had happy hour still going from 8-10, and well drinks for 4 and beers on draft were only 2 bucks including good beers too. Fat tire and Stella for Andre! This is the classiest joint in the SGV. It feels like Silverlake bar in Alhambra. After sushi we popped into 2 bars and felt a weird vibe. 28 West was a little too bro-ed out, the Frontier was short of staff. We couldn't get someone to help us and the place seemed a bit run down. Outdoor patio had pleather car seats? Anyhoo, it just so happened to be 8pm so we decided to check out the rabbit hole. From 8pm to 10pm it's happy hour, $4 wells. Great deal if you ask me. We ordered a couple of fancy cocktails I believe they came out to $13 each. I had a Long Night and my friend had some kind of gin drink. The guy used Fiord (?) gin which was so fruity and herbal and delicious. Maybe my new favorite gin. No one was there yet so the guy made me a free strawberry lemonade with fresh muddled strawberries. It was delicious. The whole place is decked out in an Alice in Wonderland theme (rabbit hole...get it?) It's clean and open and the selection of music was fantastic! I always passed by this place when going to Blockheads or restaurants in Alhambra. What a cute lounge in the center of Alhambra! Inside of the lounge was decorated with a lot of book shelves and books. Also the festive graffiti walls would make you feel like in the Alice in Wonderland. I wish I know this bar earlier! We came during New Year Eve so there were a lot of balloons, hats and count down tools in the bar. The space was kind of small but I wouldn't mind at all. The weekend might get super packed though. DJ was spinning music near the entrance of the bar and you can order drinks in the back. I was peeking on drinks people ordered and I got to say every drink looks super colorful and delicious! I got "The Molly" and it was absolutely delicious. There was this berry flavor and it tasted like candy for me which I enjoyed so much. This drink came with tilted glass and I could not help taking picture for this cute drink even my BF was giving impatient face lol.Too bad we did not stay till midnight to count down but we had a lot of fun in the bar and bumped into other Yelper! Parking was fairly easy in Alhambra. There was parking structure nearby for free. I would definitely see myself coming back here for a date night or catch up with friends. read more

I thought parking was rather easy. Just try to find parking on first street where the library is or in the parking structures. My friend payed four dollars for parking in the back of honey badger. The customer service is bad because there are a lot of people trying to order their drink. You would literally have to wait their until the bartender sees you. I had to wait for nearly 5 minutes for cup of water. Nice little dive bar to get a drink and hang out with friends. The place had nice decor with pictures of characters from Alice and Wonderland. As you look up, you see a patches of grass and little white rabbits. I thought that was pretty interesting. For first timers, I would recommend you getting the Flaming Dr. Rabbit. It consisted a shot of some kind of concoction of hard liquor which was set on fire and a half cup of beer. You would blow out the fire and drop the shot glass into the beer and chug it down like how you would do with a jager bomb or a Irish carbomb. Overall this place is great place to relax and chill. Rabbit Hole is a concept that's almost there for me but not quite complete. One of the first things that stand out is the look. The decor is neat but has a few things that kill the experience a bit such as the shelves that jut out on the far end of the bar as well as the bar area itself. I dig the bookcases and the crazy Alice in Wonderland vibe (including the sign outside) but I'd like to see the whole area given the same treatment to keep the vibe going. Music wasn't too bad as well. Then of course you're here for the drink which of course there's a full bar. We didn't make it to happy hour (think it's before 10PM) so the drinks were a bit on the pricey side. The choices were interesting with some seasonal choices as well. We got two drinks - one of the seasonal Autumn drinks with some mezcal/tequila and another drink (believe it was a gin and lime cocktail). Without the happy hour, the prices were nearly $15 per drink. My drink wasn't too bad although both drinks didn't have a completely unique taste that differentiated it much from other normal cocktails. Parking-wise, there's a parking lot across the street as well as some limited street parking (never much of an issue though). Service was solid with a smile and very friendly. Oddly it wasn't quite busy on a Saturday night (around 10-11PM) but perhaps it gets busier during happy hour and later at night (or just an off night)? All-in-all, it's an almost-there concept for me with a few little quibbles that prevent it from being a 'must come' cocktail shop. read more

Dope little bar in the main street area of Alhambra. Me and my friend went there to chill after having dinner somewhere before. He knows one of the bartenders whose name I completely forgot.. yeah.. one of those nights haha.. But I'm sure she remembers me hahaha. So we went in to say hi and 7 drinks/beers later and I'm waking up with an awful hangover haha. I drank at the restaurant before this so it didn't help my cause. They have a list of "craft cocktails" and a few more weekly specials listed on their wall and then the traditional drinks that you can get at every bar i.e. rum and coke, vodka and whatever juice you like with it.. stuff like that. I tried the bees knees, a whiskey sour, and dragon's breath (because it sounded cool) haha.. I have no pictures of the drinks, because you know, one of those kinda nights... The drinks are very reasonably priced for what you get and they have a happy hour from I believe 7-10pm and Wednesday it's all night. Most beers are available and a few of their fancy craft cocktails are available for happy hour too! Cocktails around $7 and beers 4-5 dollars. There is no locks on the bathrooms. Music is different all the time so you're always getting a new vibe. Tonight just happened to be late 90's/mid 00's hip hop and R&B because the bartender knows what's up and I was loving it. From Thong Song to Ignition to Mesmerize. And the atmosphere inside is cool. 5 stars! I'll come back again when I am in the area! Btw, most parking in the area is free, as long as you don't park overnight. And the parking isn't hard to find. But I would recommend Uber! Stay safe!! read more

Went here last night. Place gets pretty crowded since it's pretty small but hey the more the merrier right? Drinks here are cheap! For example I think a Jack and Coke is like 7 dollars which is definitely reasonable considering I pay that much for boba drinks at some places. And most importantly, even though it gets pretty crowded there's like 3 bartenders working so I didn't find getting a drink problematic. Cause let's be real what's worse then waiting 15 minutes to get a drink? Nope not here. I give this 3 stars cause it is A-OK. Nice place to go if you don't wanna go too far and want to stay in the SGV. Super chill. Plus there's a police station like right across the street if you really want to party. read more

I was served a bad a boogie to start off, it was so good! Then I asked for a LA water which Robert was more than happy to hook it up with And finally I ended the night with a strawberry cucumber something lol unfortunately I was too buzzed to remember but this was his recommendation and omg! I finally got to visit this place, every time I passed by it was closed because they open late at 800pm. The interior is very unique because it's decorated with an Alice in Wonderland theme. I only had a beer on tap and it was reasonably priced just like any other bar in Alhambra. Another plus is that the music was not loud and we could actually talk to one another. read more

This is an Alice in Wonderland theme bar. There is a dj on the weekend, but not really much room to dance if that is what you are trying to do. The best part of this place are the bartenders. They really know there stuff and the drinks are really good. Plus they have a good happy hour for $4 beers. Mixed drinks are a bit pricy at $13 each. And there cocktail menu relates to the holidays as well. Being that they are an Alice in Wonderland themed bar, it would have been cool to see the workers in some type of costume. This place took over what use to be After Dark on Main St. The layout is similar with a bar & high top seating towards the back, and tables/lounge seating in the front, but they changed it up a bit to fit their "Alice in Wonderland" theme such as adding grass & rabbits on the ceiling, bookshelves, and cooler lighting. As far as I could tell, this place no longer serves food, so it's only a bar/lounge. Their house special cocktails such as Sub-Zero or Wonderland Special seem to a variety of mixologist creations using gin, tequila, vodka, and whiskey as the basis of the drinks. The drinks are all right depending on what your usual liquor of choice is. The whiskey creations didn't hold well with me, and I had to down it rather then enjoy it as a cocktail just because I couldn't stand the taste. Move onto the vodka & gin drinks, those were all right, but a little fruitier on the taste buds. Speaking to the bartenders, they did say that majority of the drinks are more geared towards the female crowds so there are a lot of fruit essences in them such as oranges & berries. The special cocktails do come at a premium, but Rabbit hole also offers $2 pints & $4 wells from 8-10PM. Alhambra doesn't have many bars other then 38 degrees & quite possibly Shakas may count, so if you're in the area and enjoy mixed cocktails, Rabbit Hole may float your boat. read more

I came here early Friday night to catch a good Happy Hour. They have Happy Hour every day from 8-10pm. Originally, we wanted to get a good cheap drink but the summer cocktails caught our attention. From what the bartender told us the drinks sounded very appealing. Ordered the Bikini Bliss and Sailor Moon. The bikini bliss is rum based and sailor moon was vodka based. I'd say the drinks were decent but not super amazing. I think I'd rather have a couple beers than spend 10 bucks on a cocktail. Overall, it was ok but next time I'm going to try the beers. -Give it a try! read more

I live in Alhambra and I always drive by this place. A couple of my friends who went before mentioned that this place was pretty cool. I finally had a reason to go when a friend of mine decided to have birthday celebration/get together here this month. I came late and arrived at 11pm. I was not having it when I saw a line. It's Alhambra! Why is there even a line?! This isn't a club in DTLA you know. I think I waited 20 minutes just to get in, no cover fee. All my friends were already inside and I can see that it's packed that night. The place is fairly small and not much room to walk when it's crowded. You can't miss the bar since this place is so small and the restroom is obviously way in the back. To my surprise, a friend of mine is a bartender here! It was nice running into him. My friends and I had a great time socializing and drinking. I don't think there's much room to dance here though. Most of the time we sat on the black couch at the front of the bar. It took a while to order drinks even though there were like 3-4 bartenders that night. The price was alright, not too cheap though. Overall, this place was just OK for me. The place was small, the drinks took a while, and I had to wait in line just to get in. Not impressive in my book. read more

Definitely a fun place to try out because of the whole Alice in Wonderland theme. The place is small but the walls and decor are very fun and sort of 'psychadelic'! Haha! I've been here twice so far, both during happy hour on a weekday. Happy hour starts when the bar opens which is 8:00 pm. The well drinks and craft beers are $4 each. I don't remember the name of my bartender the first time I went, but my second time, I enjoyed it a lot because the bartender was super friendly and tried to get to know her customers. Her name was Stephanie. Her drinks in comparison to my first bartender had a stronger taste of alcohol to it, but they weren't terrible. It made it worth the money. This is decent place. Both times that I have gone, it was not popping, but I don't mind. More attention for me, right? I like it because it's the only bar in downtown Alhambra that has happy hour later. A lot of places have it from 3-7 pm, and that is waaay too early for people who have day-time jobs. The mango tropical hef was fruity and light. Service is great bartenders are friendly and attentive will def stop by again when im in the neighborhood.
