I didn't know what to expect, but this place ended up being one of my favorite karaoke experiences!! Modern, clean rooms and restrooms, and reasonable cost. RATE: $48 per hour + $10 per person order minimum on a Sunday. 7 people were able to fit in a room, a big snug, but comfortable. PRE-KARAOKE: Was able to make a reservation an hour ahead for 10:30pm, which was their only availability. We got there a bit early, and was able to place food/drink orders (2 beer towers were easily sufficient for our order minimum) and play darts (included until payment of the room). There's also a bunch of mini claw machines which were entertaining. KARAOKE: Big screen to pick music in the corner of the small room (only wish there was a mobile ipad to use); getting up to pick music was kind of inconvenient. There's an app that supposedly connects to the room to pick songs that didn't work. Love that there's no grading at the end of the song that's common at old school karaoke joints and that they provide microphone disposable covers (and a tambourine!) FOOD: overall mid, but it does the job lol - Truffle French Fries $8.5: flavorful, but served room temp, if not cold lol. Soft, cold, french fries are not it. - Chicken Karaage $12.5: not memorable - Grilled Organic Chicken Gizzard $9.75: tasty! - Grilled Chicken Skin $9 : soy saucey, and crispy - Beer Tower (Terra/Asahi) $38.5 - Jinro Soju $18.5 There's an added 18% service charge, for a total of $309 for 7 ppl. I came here on Halloween night with a group of 11, and we had an amazing time! Since we were a larger group, we booked a private room at $88 per hour. We reserved it for a two-hour time slot but ended up staying for an extra hour. Because it was Halloween, there was an additional $10 per person charge, but that amount could be applied to drinks or food. Since we'd already had dinner before arriving, we focused on ordering a variety of drinks to enjoy while we sang the night away. The staff was super friendly, and the service was spot-on. While I did think it was a bit on the pricier side, after checking out reviews of other karaoke spots in the area, I'd say this place is definitely worth it--especially if you're in town and love karaoke! I had the happy hour special from 6-8 for about 30 a person which included a 30 dollar food credit per person so we had 120 dollars for food for 4 people which was close to enough to keep us all full. I was pretty shocked at how good the food was but a little sad that the sushi was all crossed off. Im not sure if it was just not available for our special our not available during the time i went. The karaoke machine works as expected with nice volume control and really comfortable seating. The service is great, they bring everything to you and theres a bell to call them in. We came here with a group of friends for their happy hour and it's such a great deal. You pay a flat fee per person, and that entire amount goes towards your food and drink tab, which is amazing. We had 9 people in our group, which meant we could order up to $270 worth of food and drinks. There's a good amount of items to choose from. We had a hard time deciding what to get. The food did come out slow though, and you had until 5:30pm to order. They had a descent Western and Eastern song collection. The screen was easy to navigate. The gal pals and I wanted to celebrate a fellow gal's bachelorette party before her big day. So one of the other gals said we should get together and surprise her with some leis and karaoke! Luckily we came during happy hour, which meant that we all got in for $30, to sing all we want during the allotted happy hour time (we stayed for 3 hours)! They even give you a $30 credit to use towards food and drinks! The gal pals shared a few soju bombs, and we tried some Yakitori, sushi and other tasty bites. The room was great! I planned a kid-friendly birthday party for my daughter and niece and had a great experience. Wayne was super easy to work with and very responsive--I emailed late at night and got a reply almost immediately. They have a private room that comfortably fit our group of 27. Before you judge a kids' party here, my daughter loves singing and this place ended up being perfect--kid-friendly with really good food. We had yakitori, finger food (fries, tots, karate), and sushi, plus non-alcoholic drinks for the kids and sake, soju, and beer for the adults. Moxie is hands down the nicest karaoke spot I've been to in LA. The rooms are modern, clean, and well-designed, and the song selection is unbeatable. You can search for pretty much any song on Youtube using the in-room kiosk, or scan a QR code to browse and queue songs directly from your phone. Drinks include soju, makgeolli (rice wine), sake, beer, and wine. The food is Japanese fusion izakaya, and everything we tried was solid -- especially the yakitori skewers, kimchi fried rice, sea urchin udon pasta, and ramen. I will skip the sushi rolls next time. The spicy tuna roll was actually covered in buldak sauce. Heads up: it's hidden from the street since you drive up a ramp to the 2nd floor, but parking is easy with a large shared lot with Daiso. read more

This is my favorite karaoke lounge so far in SoCal area (from all of LA and OC). It has a lot of new Asian songs from China, Japan, Thai, Vietnam, etc. I got to sing my favorite jpop band's songs from this year, which is quite impossible in other lounge since they didn't have Japanese songs at all. My friend sang a lot of new Chinese songs that are popular in the singer shows. The happy hours deal was super worth it. It's $30 per person but you get $30 worth of food with that. Servers were very friendly. Stereo sound was very good. The place is a bit tricky to find, you have to go up the second floor parking lot to find it. It's next to Daiso. read more

As I recalled I sang these songs. 1 Carly Rae Jepsen Good Time, 2 Chainsmokers Closer, 3 Calvin Harris Summer, 4 New Kids On The Block Summertime, 5 Backstreet Boys All I Have To Give and 6 Jennifer Love Hewitt How Do I Deal and more as well. But I was too drunk high and fryed to remember. Got to live it up everyone. You only live once. 3. Lastly for now. It was excellent and wonderful to hang-out and sing or dance with 7 people. Besides singing or dance. We also a lot of food and a lot of drinks. But I was too drunk to remember. But I do remember a worker that worked here (he remembers me from my previous visit) and he took care of me and my party along with 2 other ladies that work here. If you're looking for a karaoke spot that's fun without being overly chaotic, Moxie Karaoke Lounge is a great option. It has a good environment, fair pricing, and it's always been a good time whenever I've come here with friends. The crowd usually isn't too crazy which makes the night more enjoyable compared to some other karaoke spots. The vibe stays pretty relaxed and the people there are always nice, including the staff. I also noticed they recently introduced a much larger food menu. I didn't get a chance to try it yet this visit, but it definitely gives me a reason to come back soon and check it out. Another big plus is parking. It's actually pretty easy to find parking around here, which is something you don't always get with nightlife spots. Overall it's a solid karaoke lounge with a good atmosphere, reasonable prices, and a friendly crowd. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. read more

We came in very late for a midnight session of karaoke. The staff member was very efficient and led us to a spacious room where we started singing. Everything was clean and worked well, but we were a little confused that some artists were missing their most popular songs! Also, I don't understand why there's a mandatory charge that you can use for food. We already had dinner, so we didn't order anything, but we were charged a fee anyways. More of a 3.5 overall rating. I had fun and it was a good time, but could've been better for some things... Came with a group of 9 on Saturday around 6-6:30pm without a reservation. We were told that the only room available was their biggest room right by the entrance (looks like it could comfortably have around 20-30+ people). Price was $108/hour (versus our original anticipated ~$88/hour for large room for 9 people) + they had a $10 min./person for food + drink (so $90 total expected) for the night. They have a lot of snack bites and drinks. I didn't really try any of the food, so can't speak to that, but the Soju drinks were very sweet. They were out of Sapporo for the night, and only had Asahi (wish they also had 1L option instead of only 3L). Our group decided it would be fine to take the largest room. However, as our time went on, when some of our group would walk back in from using the restroom all the way down the hall, we noticed almost none of the other rooms were occupied (only 1 room was being used in the first hour)! I would've been a much happier camper if they had stated they could only give us a large room for 90 mins. or something like that due to prior reservations. When we were leaving at just before the 2 hour mark, I noticed that there were still a lot of empty rooms that could've accommodated our group size. It made me feel like it was a bit of a money grab, honestly...so knocking off half a star for this reason. Anyway, as for the largest room, there's projector screens on two opposite walls, some background projections and 3 microphones (two handheld & 1 standing). You do have to hold the mics directly in front of your mouth for it to catch your voice. Song selection was okay...a lot of newer/popular English songs only. Wished they had a bigger selection for Disney theme songs and older English/American songs. I might return with a smaller group in the future. read more

I'm a fan of this place. I was mourning the end of K-Republic in Monterey Park. After visiting Moxie a few times during non-happy hours, I liked them. After visiting them during happy hour (RSVPs in advance) on a Saturday, I'm in L-O-V-E. I've given up on dating because there's a plethora of broken ManChild(ren) out there (sing it, Sabrina Carpenter). So... that leaves me with living my spinster life hanging with my adult ladies at fun venues. The staff at Moxie are very approachable. They have a great demeanor and explained their rules upfront. You can't bring your own water bottles into the venue (um.. don't be sneaking in vodka when you can pay for it it there at a reasonable price), BUT they provide pitchers of iced water for you. Their rooms and restrooms ARE CLEAN (not sticky and worn down by many questionable life decisions of past patrons). I was totally blown away by their happy hour deal. It's $30/person and it comes with complimentary foods/drinks from their extensive menu. Needless to say, we stayed from 3pm-7pm. We left satiated, fulfilled, and with a little more hope for this crazy world given our 4 hours of cathartic singing. Needless to say, I'm returning this incoming Saturday to support them. I used to come here a lot with my friends when we wanted a place to eat, hang out, and be loud without feeling out of place. Out of the karaoke spots I've been to in the area, Moxie always stood out for being more affordable, well kept, and having more to do besides just karaoke. The claw and gacha machines, darts, and free cotton candy machine were all fun extras. The staff was always friendly and easy to talk to, and service was usually quick unless it was a busy time like happy hour. Sushi seemed popular, but my go-to orders were the garlic fried rice and spicy tonkotsu ramen because they came out fast and tasted the best to me. My friends and I came here for birthday celebrations since we haven't tried any karaoke spots in the area. It is located on the second level and has plenty of parking. We did 2 hrs and it was pretty pricey. There is also a $10 minimum order per person on the weekends. The food was chill. We ordered popcorn chicken, french fries, takoyaki, pork belly skewers, and some yellowtail. We had to check up on the yellowtail since it had been at least an hour since we ordered it. I thought it was going to be raw but it was actually cooked slices. I don't know if water is meant to be self served but we were not offered any with the food. Surprisingly, we were able to bring in our own water bottles. The karaoke system was fairly easy to use. It was a little laggy when scrolling though. There were a good amount of options. The chicken wings left something to be desired. They were also just ok. Not nasty, but would I order them again?? NO!! The popcorn chicken nuggets were tasteless little balls. Not bad at all for a summer deal. I've enjoyed Moxie a few times now but the more recent trip was for happy hour and AYCE sushi with karaoke. Every person participating was a solid $30 between 6:00-8:00pm for both sushi and karaoke. Anything that isn't sushi is technically half off during the same hours because it's also their happy hour! (Also works for the friends who may not eat sushi). For this particular combo, you're not paying based on room but based on a set price per person in your party. Looks like this deal could be good for just a casual one-on-one screaming fest with your favorite person OR for a small group of four so you're not competing for so long on who can sing next. A great deal for the summer especially without having to over plan too much. I would definitely use this deal again the next time I need to prep for another concert tour with some of my best girls. Sushi was average quality. Not one that had me thinking so quickly that I must do this AYCE again. The reason why is because the quality of taste just wasn't there as much as I hoped. The sushi closely resembles the kind of sushi you'd get from those seafood buffets. Hit or miss. My favorite one was actually the spam with egg one which funny enough was practically more like kimbap than sushi. Nigiri slices came out pretty big but very unfortunate that it just didn't taste as fresh as I hoped. BUT then again, why would I be expecting that at a karaoke lounge? Haha. I realized this whole combo deal was also a lot to think of simultaneously-- Eat some sushi, sing this song, eat some sushi, maybe pick this song? And repeat.
