They do take reservations, which I recommend. We had a large room with about ten people. It had two wireless mics as well as a retro mic on a stand. The TV screen was really big. The music volume was very high. We couldn't figure out how to lower it. For three hours and alcohol, it came out to about $36 per person. The cotton candy machine in the front is really neat! I'm genuinely not a karaoke person (I can't hold a tune!), but I had SO much fun at MOXIE! I drive by all the time and finally stopped in for a girls' night out. The space is huge. Our private room had awesome projection screens, great sound, and a huge song selection (English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Thai, Arabic, etc.). We originally planned to grab a quick drink and leave, but the food was actually good so we stayed for dinner. It's part karaoke spot, part izakaya! The menu is loaded with sushi, sashimi, ramen, takoyaki, grilled pork jowl, baked mussels, clam soup, kimchi fried rice, and warabi mochi. We ordered cocktails and sang everything from Disney tracks and OG hip-hop to Chinese songs. **Happy Hour Deal:** Mon-Fri (6-8 PM) & Sat-Sun (3-7 PM): $30 per person for the entire HH window, which includes your private room rental PLUS up to $30 in food/drink credits! They're open until 2 AM (located on the top floor of the Vons parking lot, right next to Daiso). Even if you're not a karaoke fan, I'd still recommend coming. It's been over 1.5 years since I've discovered Moxie and I'm a regular here now. I go at least 1-2x a month. If I go with a group in one month, I definitely make time to go by myself within that same month and pay for 2 people to meet the minimum for the weekends. It's worth it. Can't decline the $30/person fee with that same amount of food/beverage credits per person. Yes, I generally go for 4 hours and spend my credits on $60 worth of booze. Service Charges and Taxes will be added to the final tab... and any amount that exceeds the $60 credit worth of food/drinks (of course). Skewers are delicious, fries and taters are crispy, and the booze make me happy. I'm very glad they still serve Jinro over Good Day / Soon Hari (they taste funky compared to Jinro). They also have a cool beer tower where there is a separate chamber filled with ice to keep the beer cold without diluting it (melted ice). Rooms, restroom, and equipment continue to be clean and awesome quality. I just realized there are no minimums M-Th so I might go by myself after work even though it's only 2 hours of happy hour compared to the 4 hours on the weekends. They aren't cheap with their AC either unlike K-Republic when it was still open. This place is better than any place I know of in K-town and even the SGV. Moxie has ruined me for all other karaoke spots in SoCal and I have zero reasons to stray elsewhere. Parking is still plentiful and it's adjacent to a full plaza of eats, drinks, and a huge VONS. I found Moxie Izakaya on Instagram and had to check it out. We entered into this arcade-like setting with small claw machines, a cotton candy maker, darts, an open bar, a dining area with televisions and an open karaoke mix, and a separate hall for reserved karaoke rooms! The karaoke rooms are set up intimately with two tables, black leather couches, projected screens with a karaoke device, speakers, and a little disco ball at the top. If you're wondering about food, there are a TON of incredible options choose from ! I didn't know what to expect, but this place ended up being one of my favorite karaoke experiences!! Modern, clean rooms and restrooms, and reasonable cost. RATE: $48 per hour + $10 per person order minimum on a Sunday. 7 people were able to fit in a room, a big snug, but comfortable. PRE-KARAOKE: Was able to make a reservation an hour ahead for 10:30pm, which was their only availability. We got there a bit early, and was able to place food/drink orders (2 beer towers were easily sufficient for our order minimum) and play darts (included until payment of the room). There's also a bunch of mini claw machines which were entertaining. KARAOKE: Big screen to pick music in the corner of the small room (only wish there was a mobile ipad to use); getting up to pick music was kind of inconvenient. There's an app that supposedly connects to the room to pick songs that didn't work. Love that there's no grading at the end of the song that's common at old school karaoke joints and that they provide microphone disposable covers (and a tambourine!) This is one of the best karoake spots in the 626 sgv area. I had the happy hour special from 6-8 for about 30 a person which included a 30 dollar food credit per person so we had 120 dollars for food for 4 people which was close to enough to keep us all full. I was pretty shocked at how good the food was but a little sad that the sushi was all crossed off. Im not sure if it was just not available for our special our not available during the time i went. The karaoke machine works as expected with nice volume control and really comfortable seating. The service is great, they bring everything to you and theres a bell to call them in. Came for happy hour on a weekday to give it a try ~ heard that this place gives you the price per head as food credit to order off a HUGE menu (including yakitori and sushi). The overall rooms are clean with updated song banks in many languages. Service is just like any typical karaoke service (minimal but just enough). Overall food quality is good BUT sushi is only available on selected days so be sure to check before you go. Was originally going to give 3.5 star but there's no half star option. -1 star due to weekday happy hour only 6-8 so very short happy hour time yet the store does not open 10 min in advance but instead opens right at 6 so after checking in (they make you provide your phone number to send you a very long text to read before you're assigned a room) you'll be at your room around 6:10 (could be even later if there's more parties present at same time). -0.5 because since happy hour is only 2 hours (technically speaking), you have to place ALL your order before 7. Any orders placed after 7 are considered additional purchases and cannot be deducted by the food credit. So you have to spend another 10 min to decide your food options so for large parties, I don't recommend weekday happy hour, not worth your time for 1.5 hours. Their weekend happy hour is longer but busier so might find a chance to give that a try. read more

We reserved it for a two-hour time slot but ended up staying for an extra hour. Because it was Halloween, there was an additional $10 per person charge, but that amount could be applied to drinks or food. Since we'd already had dinner before arriving, we focused on ordering a variety of drinks to enjoy while we sang the night away. The staff was super friendly, and the service was spot-on. My favorite item was the spicy tuna on crispy toast - I wish I had ordered another one! The rainbow roll was delicious. I would've liked to try their other rolls instead of the skewers I ordered. Room was really decked out. The karaoke control panel is very high tech, so it took us a while to get it sounding like we needed. The food is good, service was prompt. The price is steep. We lost track of time, and we kept singing it up until we got tired, and we went to pay. Wayne was super easy to work with and very responsive--I emailed late at night and got a reply almost immediately. They have a private room that comfortably fit our group of 27. Before you judge a kids' party here, my daughter loves singing and this place ended up being perfect--kid-friendly with really good food. Moxie is hands down the nicest karaoke spot I've been to in LA. The rooms are modern, clean, and well-designed, and the song selection is unbeatable. You can search for pretty much any song on Youtube using the in-room kiosk, or scan a QR code to browse and queue songs directly from your phone. Drinks include soju, makgeolli (rice wine), sake, beer, and wine. The food is Japanese fusion izakaya, and everything we tried was solid -- especially the yakitori skewers, kimchi fried rice, sea urchin udon pasta, and ramen. I will skip the sushi rolls next time. The spicy tuna roll was actually covered in buldak sauce. Heads up: it's hidden from the street since you drive up a ramp to the 2nd floor, but parking is easy with a large shared lot with Daiso. read more

This is my favorite karaoke lounge so far in SoCal area (from all of LA and OC). It has a lot of new Asian songs from China, Japan, Thai, Vietnam, etc. I got to sing my favorite jpop band's songs from this year, which is quite impossible in other lounge since they didn't have Japanese songs at all. My friend sang a lot of new Chinese songs that are popular in the singer shows. The happy hours deal was super worth it. It's $30 per person but you get $30 worth of food with that. As I recalled I sang these songs. 1 Carly Rae Jepsen Good Time, 2 Chainsmokers Closer, 3 Calvin Harris Summer, 4 New Kids On The Block Summertime, 5 Backstreet Boys All I Have To Give and 6 Jennifer Love Hewitt How Do I Deal and more as well. But I was too drunk high and fryed to remember. Got to live it up everyone. You only live once. 3. Lastly for now. It was excellent and wonderful to hang-out and sing or dance with 7 people. Besides singing or dance. We also a lot of food and a lot of drinks. But I was too drunk to remember. But I do remember a worker that worked here (he remembers me from my previous visit) and he took care of me and my party along with 2 other ladies that work here. We came in very late for a midnight session of karaoke. The staff member was very efficient and led us to a spacious room where we started singing. Everything was clean and worked well, but we were a little confused that some artists were missing their most popular songs! Also, I don't understand why there's a mandatory charge that you can use for food. We already had dinner, so we didn't order anything, but we were charged a fee anyways. More of a 3.5 overall rating. I had fun and it was a good time, but could've been better for some things... Came with a group of 9 on Saturday around 6-6:30pm without a reservation. We were told that the only room available was their biggest room right by the entrance (looks like it could comfortably have around 20-30+ people). Price was $108/hour (versus our original anticipated ~$88/hour for large room for 9 people) + they had a $10 min./person for food + drink (so $90 total expected) for the night. They have a lot of snack bites and drinks. I didn't really try any of the food, so can't speak to that, but the Soju drinks were very sweet. They were out of Sapporo for the night, and only had Asahi (wish they also had 1L option instead of only 3L). Our group decided it would be fine to take the largest room. However, as our time went on, when some of our group would walk back in from using the restroom all the way down the hall, we noticed almost none of the other rooms were occupied (only 1 room was being used in the first hour)! I would've been a much happier camper if they had stated they could only give us a large room for 90 mins. or something like that due to prior reservations. When we were leaving at just before the 2 hour mark, I noticed that there were still a lot of empty rooms that could've accommodated our group size. It made me feel like it was a bit of a money grab, honestly...so knocking off half a star for this reason. Anyway, as for the largest room, there's projector screens on two opposite walls, some background projections and 3 microphones (two handheld & 1 standing). You do have to hold the mics directly in front of your mouth for it to catch your voice. Song selection was okay...a lot of newer/popular English songs only. Wished they had a bigger selection for Disney theme songs and older English/American songs. I might return with a smaller group in the future. read more

It has a good environment, fair pricing, and it's always been a good time whenever I've come here with friends. The crowd usually isn't too crazy which makes the night more enjoyable compared to some other karaoke spots. The vibe stays pretty relaxed and the people there are always nice, including the staff. I also noticed they recently introduced a much larger food menu. I didn't get a chance to try it yet this visit, but it definitely gives me a reason to come back soon and check it out. Another big plus is parking. It's actually pretty easy to find parking around here, which is something you don't always get with nightlife spots.
