This may be my favorite boba tea in Honolulu! Their buckwheat flavor is so unique, refreshing, and earthy. The prices are very reasonable for the amount you get. You can tell they use real tea, not powders. Only downside is the parking, which is really hard in this area. Come during an off peak time and you can easily snag a street stall right outside or in the lot, but come during a peak time and it will be significantly more difficult. The milk tea has a heavy sweet buttermilk taste which has a refreshing taste left in your mouth on a hot day. The sugar is not overpowering and with a milk mixture is perfect. The Buddha is more heavier than the other ones offered. If you like a lighter tasting,not heavy try the Buddha. read more

Really cute and quirky store, I love the egghead merchandise they sell haha. Unique drinks and toppings. I was pretty plain Jane and got a lychee green tea with grass jelly at 25% sweetness. Tried the iron Buddha oolong MT with butterscotch foam 50% sweet and the strawberry buckwheat MT 100% as well. Grass jelly was generous and had that slight herbal taste too it but was pleasantly sweet and relatively soft. Lychee green tea tasted a little bit over steeped but I prefer that strong tea taste over a watery one for sure. I was surprised how sweet it was even at 25%, felt like it was equivalent to Teapresso's 50% or maybe even 75%. Couldn't really taste the butterscotch foam, but it could be that it was just sitting at the top (only took a sip). Strawberry buckwheat was way too sweet for me and tasted exactly like strawberry Hello Panda! Unfortunately they were out of all their mango drinks - those looked really good. Drinks you cannot adjust the sweetness for are the brown sugar boba and the Queen of hearts mojito. Fresh fruit ice teas only come in the regular size. Golden boba is made with cane sugar instead of brown sugar. Customer service was great! The girl was really patient and nice, answering my questions and even offered to refund and restart my order when I realized all the drinks were regular (wanted a kiddie size until I learned my fruit tea only came in one size haha). Stopped by this place after dinner for something sweet to drink. Located right next to sushi king. Plenty parking in the lot and street parking if you cannot find. I would say this place was really cute and it made me feel like I was Alice in wonderland but in asia. The overall aesthetic is really nice I liked looking around while waiting for the drinks. Ended up getting the the brown sugar milk, assam milk tea, and the peach mojito. I would say the brown sugar and Assam milk tea was decent but nothing special for me. I LOVE, LOVE their Cloudy Day drink! Just the perfect grape flavor and it's so cute! The only thing is that I wish they have an option to add BOBA! U can order boba, but they don't put it in your drink...well the Aiea location when I went there. I first found this boba spot while making a post office run for work. I grabbed a quick cool drink while working one day and knew it would become one of our favorite boba shops. It didn't take long for me to find my way back to give it a go with my wife. The staff is nice and they get orders out fast. It's clean and they have cool retail items (tshirts, stickers, bags, etc.). My wife got the peach mojito tea with boba (what I got the very first time I ordered) and I got a tea with boba that was fruity and delicious. They use real fruit. It is so good!! They have some seating inside but I don't believe they are doing inside dining currently. No outside seating. You can order ahead and pick up. Very convenient. The parking lot isn't too bad but they share it with the post office so pay attention to the time of day you head over. If you happen to be in the Kaimuki area, check out Rabbit Rabbit. Well these are all good reasons to go check out Rabbit Rabbit Tea Hawai'i (RRTH)! Mink saw someone post their Bun-Bun's on social media and had to get it. She decided to give these to her friends when they met up for dinner so I got "lucky" enough to go to RRTH to pick them up. If you want them steamed at pick up, it is best to make a phone order for these items because it takes about 20 minutes. Otherwise the items come frozen when you order directly from the cashier. I learned the hard way and had to come back but it worked out because they are best consumed within an hour according to the staff. They will allow you to schedule a pick up time closer to when you'll consume them so it'll be nice and warm. I had the pick up time scheduled for 4pm and when I got there, they had it all ready to go. The box was nice and hot! Everyone who ate it was disappointed. They all said the taste was not so good and agreed that people should get it to take pics as they are all aesthetically appeasing but not consume them. RRTH is located in the complex next to Fukuya. There is La Ciccia Fusion and Brunch Bar, Glazer's Coffee and USPS in the complex. They all share the private lot but stalls are tiny as a heads up. Really like the Japanese Buckwheat drink with golden boba. Always a good texture to the boba and love that it's caffeine free. Not sure if you're supposed to mix this before drinking because you can really taste the distinct flavors in each sip; the matcha has a strong, bitter taste while the mango brings in the concentrated sweetness of the drink. The inside is really spacious and there is a huge menu. I am never sure what to choose when presented with 100s of options, so I stuck to the basic of (dairy-free) pearl milk tea. I was presented with a few more options after I thought I was in the clear...ended up with Earl Gray tea with half sweet and half ice. The drink was delicious and hit the spot. Staff here is nice frim my experience and helpful with suggestions. Parking is easy with the parking lot in front as well as street parking for an quick in and out. A couple of weeks ago, I ordered a peach citrus mountain tea, but wanted to replace the mountain with assam tea. The red haired guy went to ask a coworker if that's possible and the brown-haired bowl cut coworker responded to him quite loudly where I could hear him, "They're literally the same thing, why would you even want to do that?" in a very disrespectful tone. I never leave reviews, especially because I work at a boba shop too, but he was so rude. I felt like I was being called an idiot, when those two teas taste nothing alike (mountain is more floral and earthy and assam has a darker tone). Hopefully he was just having a bad day or something because his attitude was ugly. I honestly don't even know how to explain this amazing flavor except that everyone should give it a try because it won't disappoint! When they first opened in Moiliili I was excited that this new boba place opened. Wanted to give it a try and brought 6-7 drinks for the whole family. I came on a weekday night there was no line or anyone there. The interior decor is super cute & service was great. I was so excited to try my drink and was sadly disappointed. I wasn't the only one my kids and mom all said the same thing. I would say we are avid boba drinkers lol. We just love boba drinks and get them on a regular basis like almost once a week if we could. Finally got to try this place; this location used to be a Honey Boba, but it closed a while back, and was recently replaced with Rabbit Rabbit Tea. It's open into the evening, and has decent parking space. My boyfriend got the Thai Milk Tea, and I got the Strawberry Buckwheat Milk Tea, which, I made sure, didn't have caffeine in it despite being a "tea." The Thai Milk Tea was good, but not out of the ordinary. I enjoyed Strawberry Buckwheat Milk Tea, but I'm partial to earthy, oat-y drinks like barley and soy! I've tried both this location and the Aiea one. I love the drinks at the University location better. The Japanese Buckwheat milk tea with golden boba is my go to drink. Other boba places don't have this tea. I've tried making it myself, but the quality of Rabbit Rabbit's tea gives it a really strong nutty flavor. Both the Kyoto Matcha and Buckwheat tea were stronger flavored and smoother at the University location compared to the Aiea one. Oh! And totally can't forget. Brought my own metal boba straw and the worker KINDLY offered to use the bar spoon to puncher the seal so I didn't spill any precious tea on the floor! read more

There are lots of parking space in front of the store and is easy to spot as well. Is right next to Galzer Coffee and Sushi King. The interior is cute and clean. The menu is above the cashier place on the wall or on the table in front of the cashier register. Immediate greeting after enter which is a plus. Two drinks that was ordered: 1) Kyoto Matcha Latte (0%sugar and light ice)-the cashier said the matcha taste will be bitter, however I don't think it taste bitter even without sugar. It just matcha added on top of fresh milk, not something very special. Would not order again. 2) Passion Fruit Mountain (25% sugar and regular ice)-this drink is surprisingly refreshing. Is recommended and will order again, good for hot days especially now. But one downside is they don't add lilikoi seed to the drinks, but can still taste the lilikoi flavor. Overall, if I am around that area, I would return for the fruit drink. read more

Iv'e always gone to the Aiea location so I thought I would try the University shop while I was in town. The interior is just as stylish as Aiea and even has indoor seating with wi-fi available. I saw employees sanitizing tables while I was waiting in line which is also a bonus. I also noticed at this location they have new cups in accordance with the Hawai'i plastic ban, one of the employees mentioned it has a slightly bigger oz. Here are some of my favorite drinks: - Strawberry Kyoto Matcha w/ Butterscotch Milk Foam. 5/5 Perfectly sweet and the matcha is so yummy! The butterscotch is also sweet so I always gets 50% sweetness with this drink. - Strawberry Buckwheat Milk Tea. 4/5 My favorite for hotter days! - Golden Jinxuan Oolong Milk Tea. 5/5 Was recommended by one of the employees in Aiea. It has a light floral taste that I enjoy, I order this with brown sugar boba and egg pudding my favorite!!!! I order the kids Assam Milk Tea with brown sugar boba and syrup. It was very sweet so I'm small size. My boyfriend got the Tiramisu milk tea and it tasted exactly like the classic dessert. Found this spot while waiting for my take-out order at Bangkok Chef. I went in on a Tuesday night around 8pm. Very Alice In Wonderland vibes, but not in a cute way. Super weird vibes as soon as you walk in. Mustard yellow walls, (meant to entice you and encourage appetite). There was a painting on the wall with bunnies in beach wear, I still don't understand. Random novelty items you can buy, too. We got the tiramisu milk tea and strawberry cloud smoothie (tastes like pocky!) The tiramisu milk tea was one of the tastiest milk teas i've ever tried. Perfect amount of sweetness, loved the flavor or cocoa and a hint of coffee. The strawberry cloud was more like blended tea, with a hint of milkiness and just a tad bit sweet. Not the best service, but I don't have high expectations when it comes to a high school staff lol. They weren't very knowledgeable on the products itself and wasn't really interested in educating me either. I loved the flavor of the tiramisu, so I'm definitely going to stop by the aiea location to try again!!! The Japanese buckwheat tea here is what keeps me coming. It is so unique, and I don't think there are any other shops in Hawaii that sell it. If you like kinako, you'll like the buckwheat tea. It has an earthy flavor that is very comforting with the milk. My only gripe would be the sugar level--it's too sweet for my preference and you can't adjust the sweetness. Kinda disappointed because I came in and the boba shop was completely empty. All four of the workers were in the back and I can hear them talking. If there are four workers, why are they all in the back socializing instead of seeing if any customers had come in. They eventually come out after me waiting for 5 minutes. No mentions of "sorry about the wait." But after they came outside, they made the drinks pretty fast and was helpful when I was ordering.
