Worst experience EVER…read more We have been attending the Monster Jam event every year for the last 8 years (except COVID years obviously because of closure.) Every year the line on Main St. to get to the parking lot has been getting worse. This year was the WORST amount of CHAOS I have ever experienced for an event. We got into the area an HOUR early and still missed the first half hour of the event due to the incompetence of the descriptions below. First of all there was absolutely NO POLICE PRESENCE. No cops directing vehicle or pedestrian traffic. No cones directing vehicles towards the parking lot. Nothing. So there were tons of cars blocking all lanes cutting in front of each other. Car horns going off on each other. Almost seen a few fist fights. It was ridiculous. Second. There were NO signs letting vehicles know that the parking lot was CASH ONLY. I can't even imagine all of the cars that waited for over an hour in a two block radius to get into the even and not having cash. And having to turn back out of the parking lot. Third. The lines for spectators to get into the event were a 1/4 mile long. And at times wasn't moving at all. We stood in line for 45 minutes with tickets in hand. By the time we got to the front the ticket takers were already waving people inside because even they had enough of the nonsense. Once we got inside the event was like any other. Great fun. Monster Jam as a brand had NOTHING to do with all of the madness above. It was the Salinas Sports Complex and the organizers that get the blame. I love going to this event and look forward to it every year. IMHO it is the best arena near the Bay Area for this event. But I don't think I will go next year. And I think many others will feel the same way. My kids didn't like all the madness. The angry parents swearing at each other. The honking. The stress. Salinas Sports Comlex. Get your ISHT together. Notify the Police and have them do their job to help with your event. Or hire some competent people to get vehicle and pedestrian traffic into your event more efficiently. I did take tons of video from the event. If you are interested go to iDrive2Fast.com . Karl Sorry for the double bad review. I mean this place deserves it. But I finally was able to log into my hacked account.

I bought my husband two tickets to the Rodeo earlier this year…read more We were seated in seats 4, 5 section 16 C. My husband is pure Scottish and from Dallas Texas. He brought and wore his Stetson that he keeps in pristine condition in the Red and Black Stetson Box. But he also wore his Brooks Brother dark blue polo shirt, Armani watch and Cartier wallet. Yes it was a hoot. The rodeo is located in the stadium in Salinas. We parked about a block away from the entrance. Minus one star because it doesn't say park in rear. All you can do is follow the massive line of cars driving to park on a grassy area in the rear of the stadium. There were vendors selling various mexican foods such as enchiladas, churros, tacos, nachos and burritos, and then there were vendors selling rodeo and western wear, cowboy hats, cowboy and cow girl shirts. We bought a cowboy hat for our son Matthew in black to match my husbands cowboy hat. We also took a picture of both of them on a bull (fake of course for 20.00). All in all, they had bullriding, horse racing, wagon racing, musical entertainment, clowns, alot of food and souvenirs. I loved that they had a corral for the kids. But I will take Matthew there when he turns 2. We had a great time and I will take them again next year.

There were plenty of vendors inside, but food options were a bit limited. We ended up choosing the Mexican food stand and my friend and I got tacos and a Chicken Quesadilla to share. The tacos were very disappointing - literally nothing on them but meat. There was a little station with free pico and salsa, but still not worth the $5/taco. The Chicken Quesadilla was much better though - easy to share too! My friend also got a Watermelon Agua Fresca and I got a Horchata, which were both massive. They were tasty enough but way too sweet to finish. The rodeo itself was a ton of fun, with two events happening at all times and lots of excitement. Would return!

I already feel like I have the confidence to get a job. The only problem I have had so far was the beginning. It was really unorganized and a lot of us didn't know where we were supposed to go because we never received our schedules, and the teachers didn't have their rosters. Other then that, it's been a smooth ride.

It is so…read moreupsetting to see her continue to respond that she takes these reviews "seriously", so I had to elaborate more. I truly feel she could care less about what is going on at the school as long as she gets her check. She once came to visit my class and it was like she was just spewing lies out of her mouth to make us all think we were in the greatest program EVER - when she left, we all just laughed because we knew it was all rehearsed with all of the awful things we had been experiencing at the school. I am a grown woman in my 40's. I had several meetings with my instructor, the Campus Director AND the Director of the program, and NOTHING changed.. (they also treat some of the instructors horridly behind the scenes and pay them a starting rate of only $35/hour when they could easily be making $50+ in the field - just look at indeed when they post). I also sent numerous emails to everyone I possibly could and nothing ever changed. The school is a JOKE in the community - no self respected medical office or hospital wants to hire graduates from CCC. They can't even give their students adequate "externships" because no one wants students from CCC. The equipment we used was soo out of date, and we even had to find our own pregnant women to scan during our OB/GYN sector. They provided ZERO assistance with this. Because I had no pregnant friends to practice on, I failed my scan exams horribly! Not to mention the sexual tone Edvin P would use about the women in my class and if they were "pretty" or not to him. I had a meeting with him and the Campus Director where he took ZERO accountability (she even said she wished he would have just stayed quiet, as she was so embarrassed with how he handled the meeting). I am embarrassed to say I ever made the decision to attend CCC and ashamed of the worthless debt I accrued. I stick with what I said before ... RUN FAST!!!!!

Luxurious reclining electric seats, place was all clean not one piece of popcorn on the floor not sticky. Don't know where these Nancys get all that! I'd highly recommend it, I'll go back! The kiosk to print online tickets was broken, which meant everyone had to wait in line at the concession stand just to get tickets. Then, since we had not visited in a while, we were not familiar with the layout anymore. Our movie was in Theater 1, but the numbering/signage was unclear. We saw Theater 2, but there was no visible number for Theater 1 nearby, leaving us second guessing whether we were in the right place. Once inside, the theater itself felt very worn down. The seats were so worn they looked dirty, and there were no food trays. I did like how far back the recliners went, but the farther you reclined, the more a barrier in front blocked the bottom portion of the screen. We also paid for the Dolby sound experience because my husband appreciates good audio quality, and he immediately noticed that not all of the surround speakers were being used, particularly the rear speakers. That noticeably took away from the movie experience. Overall, this theater feels neglected and run down. It is disappointing to see what was once a thriving theater decline so much. Unfortunately, we will not be back.

As a tribute to Steinbeck and his connection to the area, the museum was thoughtful, engaging, and well worth the visit. I especially enjoyed the quirky gift shop, always a bonus when a museum shop has personality. The drive into Salinas was also unexpectedly lovely, with so many fields and vegetables growing. It gave the whole visit a strong sense of place and helped connect the landscape to Steinbeck's writing. A great stop for literature lovers, history fans, or anyone looking for something meaningful to do in the area.

Unfortunately, reading his books wasn't part of my high school English curriculum; however, my interest in his works was rekindled by visiting this amazing facility! I spent at least a couple hours meandering through the exhibit, beginning with a short film telling the story of his life. It was fascinating to learn how John Steinbeck was both shaped by his hometown, and how much influence he had on the literary landscape during his lifetime. There is so much to look at and discover here! If you're a book nerd, whether a Steinbeck fan or novice like me, check this place out. Ticket prices are reasonable, and they offer discount for locals, veterans, and youth, or if you become a member. I can't wait to visit his childhood home next!
