Let me be very clear -- I come here for the BLOODIES! Not saying their food isn't good just that my drive from Milw. is based solely on the desire to order their delicious bloodies! With that said, if you're looking for a tasty bloody mary and are in the area or looking for a 'hidden gem' off the beaten path, head on over to Jimmy's in Jackson, WI! Their specialty bloody marys are available on Saturdays and Sundays and feature the Greek God as well as the Cheesehead. If you're looking for a tasty meal and bloody all in one then both of these will certainly satisfy! What are these two specialty bloodies you speak of? Well, the Cheesehead comes with all their regular fixings (lemon wedge, cheese cube, celery, summer sausage, pickle, mushroom, etc.) but then also comes with cheese curds, string cheese whips, and a FULL GRILLED CHEESE! The Greek God comes with their regular bloody mary fixings (lemon wedge, pickle, celery, summer sausage, cheese cube, mushroom, etc), an entire GYRO complete with onion, Kalamata olive, feta cheese, gyro meat, pita bread, etc. with a side of tzaziki sauce! Lastly, you're probably wondering, how's the mix?! Well, IMO, the bloody is robust in flavor (this is what I look for) and, while you'll be asked if you'd like your bloody mild or spicy, keep in mind you can order somewhere in the middle (for this robust glass of deliciousness, I think a medium spice is just perfect). All in all, Jimmy's is a spot I'll gladly take a little weekend drive for a bloody mary craving! One more thing--how are they handling the COVID pandemic? Well, for starters--their outdoor patio has at least 3 hand sanitizing stations, all staff are in mask both when serving indoor and outdoor diners. I sat outside last weekend and we were able to watch the Packer game on a flat screen (yep, there's a TV on the patio) and they cranked the heat lamps on for us...felt like we were just at the Game! HaHA! Indoors, customers are required to wear their masks indoors unless seated at their tables and eating/drinking. Thanks, Jimmy's! Recently I went to this local restaurant for a Friday Night Dinner. I ordered the Jumbo Shrimp Dinner. It was good but I feel the 19.99 price was a bit steep. I received eight butterflied shrimp. They were not jumbo. My friend ordered Shrimp and Fish. She paid 17.99. She received twelve Shrimp and a nice piece of beer battered cod. Her meal was well worth the price. Next time I will order that instead. I know prices have increased and I understand that. I just want to be able to justify the cost with the quality etc. The German potato salad was very good as was the coleslaw. The clam chowder was tasty but my bowl didn't have many if any clam pieces. It was more liquid and potato. The service was fast and friendly. We enjoyed the outside patio area instead of eating inside. I will be back as I do enjoy and like this local restaurant. Short notice lunch invite from the MIL did not disappoint. We both had the buffalo chicken sandwich. The bread was so crispy and perfect spice level on the chicken. The restaurant was clean a well attended by staff and patrons. Lots of smiling face making sure we were taken care of. The outdoor seating is a must for next time. This has to be the best breakfast place I have been to in such a long time. I decided to try something new with the special of the day. It was a breakfast cheese burger with a fried egg and cheese sauce. It sounded so good, I had to try it. I was not disappointed! All the food that we ordered was delicious. I stopped here for breakfast while passing through the area because of the 4 stars. The place is nice with a big covered outdoor patio in front and a neat bar as you walk in. You can sit at the bar, tables, patio or booths if you want. The breakfast menu is small on one page but enough to satisfy most people with daily specials and I would do the sausage and eggs but when it came to order I changed it to the homemade corn beef hash. After seeing best bloodys around on the menu I orderedrd one with breakfast. The bloody didn't look bad and for spicy it was a fail, not the best that I have and but not the worst, somewhere in the middle. My service was fine with no issues there. My food came quick but it didn't look like what I ordered because it looked like a pile of hash brown because I couldn't see any red corn beef. The eggs were cooked perfect sunny side up and good. The sourdough toast was the generic kind or white with no slight chew that a good sourdough has. The corn beef hash was 95% potatoes with an all potatoe taste because the super small amount of corn beef was finely diced/crumbs. Never thought I would say this but I would rather have the can crap over this. I feel ripped off because I paid $9 for potatoes and eggs, see my pictures. The toast had more butter than the corn beef hash had corn beef, WTF don't restaurants understand that we all have cameras on our phones so we can show the world our actual factual experiences you serve the guest. Overall my breakfast was a complete fail and I would not go back here and look at other options the next time I'm heading that way. I can see why at 7:30am when I walked in only one table was in service on a Saturday morning. We met old friends for breakfast. They offered a great assortment of tea. YAY! Eggs benedict my friend ordered looked great. My gyros omelette was tasty. Kitchen understood and delivered on crisp hash browns. I indulged in raising toast, but they brought just a single slice as i requested. All staff wonderfully friendly and attentive. I would classify Jimmy's a breakfast/greasy spoon type place. For a place in the suburbs it is a good value and you get a lot of food for your money. It is not a five star place, but we go several times a year for breakfast with our family of five. My two youngest always get chocolate chip pancakes. This is gem to find in Jackson! Since this my first visit I will give it 4 stars, and I am sure an upgrade to 5 after a future. Also orders were flying out of the kitchen, and everything was like clock work. After reading Yelp reviews we had to try this place after a lack luster day of fishing, but this place made up for it. Fist off this is a locals place, meaning that this place is the place to eat at in Jackson. My friend and fellow angler ordered their daily special which was the chicken fried steak and chorizo omelette. You get a lot of food, even my buddy was struggling with finishing the portion. As their was little talking between us, I assume that his order of the chorizo omelette, hash browns and rye toast were hitting the spot. My order of the chicken fried steak was awesome! Not over fried with a light but crispy breading. The hash browns were nicely done through an through, as well as the scrambled eggs with cheese. The eggs were not overdone and had a really nice smooth feeling while eating them. They offer a Greek bloody mary, but we both decided on the regular style but spicy bloody mary, soooo good. The Greek bloody mary will be a must try next time. If you like great service and excellent food (from what I can tell), you need to check this place out. read more

Happened to be in the area and decided to stop in for dinner while driving by. Service was great, as most family restaurants are. I got the chipotle chicken quesadillas and my son for the hangover burger. Everything was great, food came out very quickly and was hot and fresh. Would definitely stop in again to try some of their daily, weekly specials including special weekend brunch/breakfast menu. Our waitress Bridget (spell) was AWESOME. She was busy but she took care of us well. The food and drinks were AWESOME. I had the Wisconsin skillet. It was very good. I also had Maui Punch and coffee. My husband had the country fried steak with extra gravy and cheese, extra cost, but good. He also had a mimosa and a Maui Punch. He liked the Maui Punch and got 1 instead of another mimosa. Have been going here for YEARS. Always PLENTY to eat, food is prepared exactly how you request it. Wait staff is always attentive and friendly, even when extremely busy. Owner takes the time (every time) to come to each table to greet you & to ask if everything is satisfactory. Prices are very reasonable. Always go home with leftovers! Jimmy's is our favorite family restaurant style place to get Breakfast or even lunch. They have a large menu and the prices are reasonable. The staff is always very friendly and the food is good. While it's not anything gourmet, the food is always hot and tastes good. One special thing about Jimmy's is that they are very active member of the Jackson community and very special to the community. The Bloody Marys are unreal here! I ordered one topped with cheese curds, a WHOLE grilled cheese, string cheese, tomatoes, and salami. I didn't even need to order a meal with all of those toppings!
