The reviews seem to be mixed but I really like this place. It is so cozy and fun! I love that the salt and pepper shakers are all mismatched (the table I sat at had flip flop ones). You order at the counter and they bring you your food. This time around, I tried their chicken tenders with sour cream + chive fries. The chicken was super juicy and good quality. The fries were just as good! Also the root beer was really tasty too. Plus, there's A LOT to choose from if any of that doesn't strike your fancy. A great option if you're in the area!

Yes, this is a pub. It is noisy, small and the tvs are on loud. And the food is really good! Five of us stopped in for the first time on a Sunday evening. You order at the counter and pay there when you are done. We had a rueben, hamburger, french dip, brisket and a kid's mini hotdogs. Everything was eaten except for 1/2 the reuben which came home with us. Don't expect much in atmosphere but the food is absolutely worth the visit. There is plenty of parking, although I imagine this place is packed on a Friday or Saturday night. They do have pagers for those who need to wait for a table.

Kielbasa patty sandwich, which was good but skimpy on the fries.

A little better than average bar food and certainly friendly staff. You have to order food at the bar and start a tab to avoid walkouts. An Labrinth of levels and rooms to explore inside and out. I'm sure it's one hell of a party for a Packer game. We were there for the badgers game which was lightly attended so we did not experience the true party atmosphere. There's an outdoor band stage add bars spread throughout, the lot

Do they offer all you can eat crab legs?

Not that I am aware of. Try the Copper Dock, I believe that is the Wednesday special.

Bob and Vicky don't own it anymore?

    Yes they still own it.

To…read moreme, they do a lot of things right, but there are still a few "unforced errors" that keep this from being a truly great meal. Food: Once again, the star of the show was the brisket. It is just so very good. I ordered the Panzanella Salad topped with brisket. The salad itself was excellent, and the addition of the brisket made it an outstanding choice. Our table shared an order of the Texas Twinkies. They were delicious, but definitely on the spicy side. In fact, some of us were literally in tears! So, know what you're getting. The others ordered the Mac & Cheese with BBQ Chicken, the Sloppy Joe, and the Double Smashburger. Everyone enjoyed their meals, but no one was raving about them...except me and the brisket. I tried the Smashburger and found it a bit underwhelming. The beef didn't have much flavor, and there wasn't enough char to create those delicious lacy edges that make a smashburger special. The side of haystack onion rings was very good: hot, flavorful, and generously portioned. Service: Our server was polite, but not especially friendly. Even though there were very few people in the restaurant, there were a couple of times when I had to flag them down for things like more water or another drink. A couple of our drinks, including a Bourbon Old Fashioned and a Bloody Mary, were served with an elaborate smoked presentation using a wooden smoke box. It's an interesting idea, but it felt a bit over the top. Atmosphere: I like the feel of the dining room. It's small and full of character. Our table in the corner was a tight fit, but once we were seated, it was comfortable enough. Tip: Get the brisket!

We recently moved to Germantown and wanted to try the Richfield location. We waited an hour to be seated, but it was fine as we sat at the bar that had over 400 whiskey's. I got the Manhattan off their specialty menu and my husband got their autumn barrel Manhattan. After trying both--highly recommend the one off their specialty menu. It was definitely superior quality. It's served over a block of ice so if you want it up, you may want to mention that when ordering. It tasted more like a classic old fashioned than a Manhattan but I'm not complaining because I love classic bourbon old fashioned cocktails as well. For a starter we got their much raved about bang bang shrimp. It came on a bed of greens and was good! For my dinner I got their seasonal chicken and dumpling soup and a side salad. Both were solid. The salad was definitely more ample than I was expecting. My husband got some sort of salmon alfredo pasta dish that came with roasted asparagus mixed in. I had a bite and he ordered well--it was decadently buttery and delicious. The service was super kind throughout our stay. Our server checked in on us regularly without being overbearing. Get to it!

First time here…read more Food: It was a Friday evening, around 8:00, and we decided to try some of the fish specials. I ordered the Pan-Seared Walleye, and she chose the Lake Perch Fry. Since our entrées included access to the salad bar, we started there. The appearance of the salad bar was disappointing. I realize it was later in the evening, but there were literally salad bar fixings all over the place. Some items were mixed together, some had spilled onto the enclosure, and there was food on the floor as well. Much of what was offered looked like it had come straight out of a can. The walleye wasn't bad. However, the mixed vegetables were a pile of mush, and although I had requested the potato pancake be extra crispy, it was still undercooked in the middle. The perch fry was okay, but nothing special. For dessert, she ordered the Brandy Alexander, and I had the LemonBerry Cake. The Brandy Alexander was very good, while the LemonBerry Cake was mediocre. Service: Our server did a nice job getting us settled in. Water and drinks arrived promptly, and they were friendly and pleasant throughout the evening. However, they became involved in a lengthy conversation at another table, so getting our check took quite a while. Atmosphere: To be honest, the place looks a bit run-down and could probably benefit from some TLC. Since it was later in the evening, there weren't many other diners, and the restaurant was relatively quiet. The view of the lake through the windows is spectacular and makes it a great place to watch the sunset. I wish the food had been better. Unfortunately, this isn't a place we are likely to return to.

Most of our guests were from out of town and thoroughly enjoyed not only the selection but the quality. Second time here in the last couple of months…read more Food: As much as I love the history of this place, the beautiful woods surrounding it, and the charm of the building, I have been very disappointed by the quality of the food. Unfortunately, this second dinner was even worse than the first. The rice was undercooked, the short ribs were dry, and the scallops were gritty. I realize that, for some people, the Buy One, Get One promotion is a big draw. However, I suspect that the menu prices are inflated to offset the BOGO savings, so it doesn't end up being much of an actual benefit. My wish is that they would focus on improving the quality and consistency of the food and charge prices that appropriately cover their costs while still allowing them to make a profit. I don't think we'll be coming back anytime soon, which is sad because there is so much to like about the location and atmosphere.
