The evening at Big Guys started out as a fun Friday night out with friends. The vibe in the restaurant was fun and we were talking about coming back during the summer. We ordered our food. Our friends ordered the fish fry and my husband and I ordered breaded shrimp. Service was good, our meals were good and then we were on our way. Two hours after our dinners my husband and I became violently sick. Our friends were perfectly fine, but our vomiting lasted for hours. My husband has rebounded but I'm still feeling lousy and in bed for the second day. This hole in the wall bar provides a great view of Pike Lake in Hartford. The food was amazing and the staff are beyond friendly. I stopped in to grab a quick lunch at the recommendation of my fiancé's family. I ordered the cheese soup with Brats and the steak sandwich. The sandwich was very tender and the steak was like butter. The soup was absolutely delicious. Next time I'm back in Wisconsin in the Hartford area I'll be stopping by here! read more

Dive bar. Lots of TVs. I come here for a burger and fries. Burgers are cooked exactly as ordered and are half pound patties of delicious greasy burger. Fries are perfect. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Good spot if you have kids. Nice view of Pike Lake and a deck overlooking it as well! Service is good too.
