I'm Thai and looking for real Thai taste or very nice taste of Thai food here. I went to Racha Thai restaurant because somebody told me it was really nice taste and They have buffet. I went there for the buffet. The waitress are polite but I don't like the food taste there at all. It made me feel like I wasted my money for it. food that i liked are the same as in Chinese buffet which is cheaper. The chefs are not Thai and most wokers ther are Laos. Racha Thai is good only for those who have never had even moderately good Thai. Nothing is spicy and the majority of their sauces taste the same. I literally asked the server to make my dish as spicy as possible and there was no trace of heat whatsoever. Pretty good food. First time trying it.... Went for the appetizer sampler and got a side of Thai noodles. Nice variety and a decent amount of noodles for only $2! I am not an expert on "authentic" thai cuisine but I have to say that I'm obsessed with racha thai's food! Their pad thai is the best I have ever had (be sure to ask for extra peanut sauce)! I just had their tom yum soup and siam salad! Their rice is never greasy and tastes extremely fresh! I get take out from them at least twice a month. The only downfall would be dine in on the weekends. I actually walked out of the restaurant because the waitstaff could not handle the volume of customers. Overall...a great restaurant! read more

oh yelp...how you led me wrong... i came here based on reviews i read, thinking "oh this sounds okay" NO. It took probably 10 mins for them to come and take our order...not many parties...so i'm sure they were just restocking silverware... the pad thai was okay....it tasted good at first, but I'm thinking there was some extra amount of something that made it very..sweet/sourish... the glass noodle soup was kinda boring...for $3.50, i would expect a bigger bowl. the egg rolls were egg rolls...you get 4 . the duck with the plum sauce that i got only because someone kept talking about how good it was and other duck related things were good...NO NO you guys are sooo wrong !!! it was overcooked..and dry...and i didn't even want to eat it...there goes $15! A little hard to find missing the sign on the building...cord dangling next to the ironic Signorama shop. The interior was a little dated, but my pad thai ( with shrimp and chicken as part of thr basic meal and not extra) and my boyfriend's veggie curry were both delicious with prompt, courteous service. Good food, so-so service Love the food here! All the noodle dishes I've tried are absolutely delish. I especially recommend the Crazy Noodles. I've also tried the curry and it is pretty good as well (the second best I've had in MA). Try the Thai rolls too. Since we moved to the Worcester area I've tried at least 3 other Thai places and there is no comparison. I'm here to stay even though there are several places closer. Worth the drive. Service gets just an "OK". The staff is friendly, but once I waited over 10 minutes to have my order taken and a table that sat after us was waited on first. Not very organized. And the ambiance is what you would expect from a run of the mill Thai restaurant. I recommend doing take out so you can skip the iffy service and go straight for the yummy food. read more

The cashew nut chicken was very bland. Here they make it with a light brown sauce rather than Thai red chili paste. It literally had no flavor. They should rename it "chicken nothingness". Love this place. They have a buffet on Saturday from 12 - 2:30. You will find me there every weekend. The food is kept in the warmers at just the right temperature so it doesn't dry up. They are always refilling it. The staff is friendly and courteous, and the owner is there helping as well, checking to make sure all is going smoothly. I'm not entirely convinced by Racha, so this could get downgraded to 3 stars, but Racha Thai is one of best Thai restaurants in the area, which has lots of Thai restaurants, but few good ones. The menu seems focused on American friendly dishes like curries and pad thai adjacent noodle dishes. If something purports to be spicy, it actually is. The food was good and the portions are big enough for leftovers. They do have one minor annoyance: rice is not included with anything at dinner, so if you get a curry dish, be prepared to add $2 to the price, which makes it no longer cheap. read more

We came here because our friends recommend it. Their food is better and cheaper than Thaichada restaurant (also in Worcester). We ordered Fried Tofu, Salad (include shrimp and egg, good!), Satays etc. (sorry it's been a few weeks and we forgot) Anyway they are all delicious, it's difficult to find a better Thai restaurant nearby. At first I thought we might be abducted going into this hole-in-the-wall in a strip mall of Rte 20. But the inside is much nicer than the front leads you to expect. We both had Duck (different menu items) and both like our food a lot. There was enough that we both needed boxes after to bring home. The spicy noodles are very good, the curry which is also good is once and a blue moon watery but I can't really complain. They recently raised the price of their buffet on Thur. and Fri. but still worth the price and they incorporated some seafood items if that's your cup of tea. I recently got take-out from Racha Thai. When I arrived, I said "pickup for Jay" She went and got my food and told me the total came to $41.60 So I gave her (2) twenty dollar bills and (2) dollar bills. This comes to $42.60 She gives me 60 cents and after that I asked for a receipt. She decides to "hand write" a paper receipt with my name, the food ordered (abbreviation) and the total cost, which she wrote $31.60 At that point I questioned her, "why did you tell me it cost $42.60, give me the wrong change and then write $31.60 on my receipt. She told me she gave me $10 dollars and 60 cents back! I told her she never gave me the 10 dollar bill and her math was wrong even on the change. It should of been 10 dollars and 40 cents back, but she only gave me 60 cents. EVEN BEFORE THIS ENDED, I asked why she didn't have a professional print out receipt of everything I ordered and the costs. I told her I was unhappy, and that I wanted my $10 back! She refused and walked away. I do not understand how a Restaurant can get away with "hand writing paper receipts" I USED to like getting RACHA TAI and they did have good food! BUT I do not like when a restaurant tries to STIFF their customer. I will never go back again! ALSO: I ordered chicken fingers and they gave me 4 in a bag with duck sauce! I have never only received 4 chicken fingers when paying $7+ Hope this helps! read more

Final Decision: Meh I wish I was back in So. Cal for this. There were talks that central Massachusetts has a fairly strong Asian American population, however the food does not reflect this population. The GF wanted some thai food so I decided to try to surprise her on a weekend and take her to a thai spot that I found off of citysearch. The rating seemed to be okay, so I thought to give it a try. When we found the place it was located in a small strip mall. The restaurant seemed to have a fair amount of patrons, so we thought, "potential". After looking at the menu, the GF was sorely disappointed as there was nothing on the menu for panag curry. The waitress didn't even know of such a curry. I ordered a mint pork dish that I was hoping to resemble a dish I use to order in a restaurant in LA. I wasn't too excited with the flavors either.
