This place was great, until my mother died and they told me I was going to be charged anyway. I had an appointment on 9/27/24 for a cut and color but my mom passed on the night of 9/26/24. I called to reschedule and was told that I could do that but I would be charged anyway. In my opinion that is unacceptable. Had there been some effort to work with me I may feel differently but there was none. I received a hard non negotiable answer that it would be a full charge if I showed up or not. That was it for me. We are fairly new customers at Rachel's studio and in the last 4 or 5 months we have been here around 5 times (or more) for my hair, my 2 teens hair, facials, updos for events and lash tinting/lifting. We love the atmosphere and all of the staff are AMAZING. So far we've worked with Rachel, Becca and Jordan for our hair and Taylor for our skincare. All of them fun, professional, easy going and most importantly they really make sure that you are happy when you leave. So far we have not been disappointed. It's a great atmosphere for my 13 year old as well. Everyone at Rachel's salon works together and you really get the feeling that you're just hanging out with friends doing hair and chatting. They bounce ideas off of each other and act like a team. Ive been to salons where you can tell that theres drama...They are so sweet and made my daughter feel so at ease (she's pretty shy). I highly recommend Rachel Blythe if you want to get what you paid for, have some laughs and forget that you're even at a salon. My daughter wanted a fun side undercut. I showed Jordynn a picture of Namaari from a Disney movie and she nailed it. The style is perfect even down to the braid. My daughters face lit up when she saw the end result. I didnt have an appointment for myself to get a mens haircut, but they courteous enough to squeeze me in. I dont have high standards for a haircut as i typically do it myself. However Jordynn is a master stylist. This is the best hair cut i have ever gotten. I will be back! read more

I would tell men to stay away from this place. While I liked the haircut I got there, the place is run by really young girls that seem to have no sense of how to care for clients. The last appointment I made was made via text. After a 1 week wait to get in, they didn't even have me listed. The response was, oops... You'll have to come back when we have an appointment time. As a man, I never felt comfortable or welcome in this place and didn't feel like they wanted my business. The success of any business is the product and the process. I liked the product but they have no sense of how to make the process comfortable for men. read more

Horrible experience with this salon today. I had been to this salon once before at the recommendation of my daughter. They did an ok job so when I went back to see the same girl I was confident she knew what I wanted. I was specific that the previous color was a lot darker and that what I wanted for summer was much lighter. We looked at pics and agreed on light copper highlights and a lighter red then before. What I got was NOT that at all. on the drive home, even in the sun, my hair was very dark. My "cut" was barely noticeable and my kids even asked if I had one. I called the salon and spoke with Rachel, the owner. She told me to come in so they could see it and maybe lighten it a bit with toner. When I got to the salon and the girl sat me in the chair I told her how I felt about the color. Instead of trying to help fix anything, she got defensive and insisted I got what I asked for......she said I told her she could do what she wanted. In a way this was true, she asked a lot of questions about foils and partials etc. and honestly I know nothing about those things ( I certainly don't think I would expect any of my clients to tell me how to do my job, but I did the best I could). She basically told "I could get it done somewhere else"......no problem, I won't be back. As for the length well, I will just have to get that cut somewhere else also. Regrettably I left a 20% tip, because I believe people should, but had I known that they wouldn't stand behind their work, I would have declined. Oh and I forgot to mention, they left color all over the side of my face, looked like I had sideburns, she did remove that.... I had the wash the color from my shirt when I got home. The one star today is that they have the sweetest salon dogs on site. Nice to see people take their pets to work. It would have been nice if the owner, who told me to come in, would have stayed to see me. Maybe her stylist would have been a little more empathetic or kind and at least try something other than be defensive. I will never recommend this hair salon to anyone. read more

I was referred to Rachel from a friend and finally went to see her one week ago for a full balayage and trim. And Rachel is amazing! She is such a nice person and an even better stylist. I felt bad for coming pretty late due to my work schedule and my long, thick hair. I offered to come back at a different time for my trim but she told me it'd be fine and that it would only take ten minutes to do my cut. My hair is very dark, almost black, and she was able to get me pretty light for my first session and I was so ecstatic! Rachel also did a great job on my cut.
