Good- the color techniques and style is great, products are great Bad- costumer service is really bad. Stylists tend to be rude, they change up your price all the time and it's super expensive. They will argue with you if you come back asking for a fix for your hair and tell you it's your fault and your hairs fault the colors didn't turn out the way she colored it for you before. They over charge and won't take cancelations in a kind way, they use a text service with really rude and insulting response. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

This is quite literally the only salon that I will ever go to. I started getting my hair done here in 2015 and they have never let me down. Paloma is an absolute legend and has brought my hair back from the brink of its existence multiple times. I've been going to Bravata for about 3 years now! Every experience has been far beyond what I've expected or dreamed up in my head, and that is all thanks to my wonderful hair stylist Sami! I'm not one to usually write reviews, but I love this salon & after my visit today I wanted to make this my very first Yelp review, and a good one because this business deserves it! Walking in the doors to Bravata, (especially after their fabulous makeover) has this amazing, chic, urban, relaxed groove and already has me on my toes excited for my experience with them! Their new Bar Bravata is incredible!!! They have alternative milks, so I tried the oat milk with my chai tea, and it was over the moon delicious! They have coffee available, and other beverages. Even some alcoholic drinks for you shwifty individuals! But the real reason I love this salon is because of Sami. I was surprised to read that someone had said she was cold and quiet. I've never had that interaction, and I couldn't believe they were talking about my stylist!! She has always been very welcoming, friendly, and even remembered past conversations. She keeps a professional manner, but also makes you feel like a long time friend the entire time you're there with her. The way she works with hair is phenomenal. I ALWAYS walk out of Bravata feeling like a model when Sami has added some sassy layers and jazzed up my bangs for a little edge. I hate writing a bad review, but this is the WORST haircut I have every gotten since I moved to seattle. My hair cut was way too short, I asked for 2 inches off but it really felt like 4 inches. Before I made the appointment I asked how experience the stylist was and the lady who answer the phone told me she had 5 years of experience. It looks so CHOPPY and doesn't blend well at ALL. I had layered hair my whole life and when I said to clean it up and make the layer more define it doesn't mean make it look like a hack saw went in. Sorry but I even had a better hair cut at Gene Juarez by a junior stylist who had just a year of experience. I should of known it was a bad sign when a client of her came back and had to get her color redone by another stylist. I'm so disappointed because judging by all the great reviews and pictures I really thought this place was promising. Just save your money folks, its not worth saving a few bucks for bad haircut. The only reason this place is getting 3 star was because the stylist was really nice about it and tried to fixed my hair before I left. I have had the same hair since I was a kid. Long layers in varying shades of brown and burgundy. I ask for "new hair" frequently, but invariably end up with same darn thing. Paloma changed all of that. I came in with an extremely vague idea of what I wanted, shorter, lighter, something, anything different than the hair I've had for the last 20 some-odd years. After asking me a few questions, Paloma cut and shaped, colored and hombre'd my hair into something quite fantastic. I loved not being able to see what was happening, it made for a big "reveal" when she spun me around and I saw my short, light, decidedly unme-like hair. I may have cried from the awesomeness of it all, that's how pleased I was. Now, 4 months later, my hair has grown a bit, the color's faded a bit and though I'm in need of a touch up, I still get compliments on hair on at least a weekly basis. I can't tell you enough how the overall aesthetic of the place is just enough to feel like you can't afford the place, but after booking a shampoo and cut, I was blown away by the price of merely $40. I had my cut done with Isabella (shout out to yo awesome work, girl!) She was funny and took my request into serious consideration, all while I said that she can add her own spin to it. I was very satisfied with what I got and had a blast with our conversation. Now, the cafe attached to the salon is definitely the cherry on the top. They offer some kooky concoctions of the day, as well as a multitude of options of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. By request, you can even have your basic items like lattes. But why get basic when you can try the flavuh' flave of the day? It may not come back again! Anywho, the baristas have the gift of gab and they put just as much magic into their creations as do the hair stylists. We recently moved to the Mill Creek area and anyone who has moved enough knows its hard finding a good stylist that you can trust with your hair. Its almost like dating; it can either be a great time or you truly regret the experience. Thankfully, Danny is AMAZING at what he does. I love my hair and the cut is awesome. First time was a charm and I am SO thankful that I found someone that I can keep going back to that is close to home. The enviroment of the salon is industrial chic. I love all of the white and how bright the atmosphere is (if you look closely, there is actually glitter in the paint on the walls!). Where do I start?! I work with the public and hands down, the worst CUSTOMER SERVICE and horrible COMMUNICATION SKILLS! I have VIRGIN hair, this was going to be my 1st time dying my hair, if i was going to color my hair, i wanted to go extreme. I made my 1st visit there and spoke to someone directly, later on I found out that she was actually the owner when I tried to get to know her when she was doing my hair. I spoke to Paloma, owner on Friday, May 12th about what I wanted to get done and showed her a picture. I walked in there not knowing what to expect because I never got my hair done professionally done or colored. She told me that this was going to be a process that this would take multiple sessions. She scheduled an appointment for a Test Strip which was successful, it lifted well. She says to me that we're going to be able to do this in one session. I was so happy and we scheduled to color my hair on Friday May 19th. I came in at 8AM, was done shortly after 12pm and after she dried my hair and straighten it, it wasn't exactly what I expected, it was definitely too subtle compared to the picture and what I expected. I asked her if my hair would lighten up and she says to me after a few washes, it will lighten up. Wednesday, May 24th I called early morning to the salon but Paloma was not in that day and asked to leave a detailed message. She said i would hear from her with in 24 hours. I did not hear from her that night or the next so Friday May 26, I go to the salon in person to see why I have not heard from her. I spoke to Heather and told me that Paloma has not been in the salon for a couple days and did not receive my message. If I was the person who took my message, I would have contacted Paloma and let her know that I was trying to reach her but they didn't. It wasn't till 8AM (way too early to call anyone) on Saturday May 27th that i finally get a phone call directly from Paloma letting me know that she will be out of town from June 1st- June 12th. She can squeeze me in after hours or even that Tuesday night because she was completely booked from now till then. She says she wants me to be happy and that she is willing to give me a discount to fix anything I may not have liked. I told her lets plan for Monday and discuss my issues and left it as that. I e-mailed her Sunday, June 11th to let her know I was still on board for Monday but did not hear from her so Monday evening when I was off work, i headed straight to her salon to speak with her directly regardless if she was going to get my hair done or not. I asked to speak with Paloma but the person at the front desk said she was busy with a client but is finishing up and can talk to her then before her next appointment comes in. Paloma was only about 3 feet away from me while she was finishing up with her client, she did not bother to give me a smile, eye contact, not even a glare, she avoided me at all cost. after she was done with her client, she did not bother to talk to me and told the front desk that she could not talk to me that i would need to set up an appointment with her, did I mention she's only about 3 feet away from me saying this to the front desk at which I was standing at? I decided to make my next appointment to discuss what I need from her since she refused to speak with me that night. Finally it was Tuesday June 20th at 8pm, I have Paloma all to myself, I have her cornered , she can't come up with excesses, I expressed my concerns, the lack of communication and horrible customer service, that it was exactly 1 month and 1 day since she's done my hair that she finally agrees to meet with me, pathetic right? She said sorry that I had perceived it that way. She argued that I misunderstood her and that I had high hopes. She totally turned her story around. I wanted my hair fixed that night and she was not willing to fix my hair at no cost or not willing to give me my money back. I was tired, it was late, I decided to give her a 2nd chance but still charged me at 50% discount which was ridiculous. She did do a better job the 2nd time around, looked more like the picture but this whole experience and how I was treated and based on how long it took to resolve this was not worth it. I will never go there again and will continue to let everyone else know about my story. read more

First time visiting this salon and was very happy with my overall experience. They just added a little cafe & bar, which was nice to hang out in while I waited for my appointment. The decor is tasteful and cool, although there is some construction stuff in one corner, but understandable with the stuff they are building. My stylist was Danny. I showed him a photo of what I wanted, and told him what I didn't like about my current style. I felt that he took his time and gave me the style I was looking for. I also appreciated that there wasn't a lot of forced conversation, and it was a pretty relaxing time. I like that I could have ordered a drink or coffee while I was getting my hair done, and there are TVs up. He didn't have me facing myself in the mirror the whole time either, which I really liked. So awkward to stare at yourself or the stylist the whole time. I haven't been this happy with a hair cut in awhile. Kerri did an amazing job on my hair color. I have been getting balayage for years and have always wanted to go "cooler," always showing the stylist the same set of photos. Kerri was the first person who actually GOT it! I absolutely love how it turned out -- in fact, I was in a bit of shock at first thinking it looked "gray" but it was because it was so different from the warm colors I'm used to. This salon is right up my alley. They have wonderful customer service and even better hair dressers! I was invited to enjoy a cup of coffee/tea or beer during my cut. I went in feeling super anxious about cutting my long hair (as I always do) and I felt comfortable and confident that my hair dresser, Danny, would cut my hair to my liking. Danny worked with me to cut enough off to see a difference and cut the nasty ends as well as maintain enough length to put it up if I wanted. Went to Bravata for my 5th and last hair cut from them today. The last 2 times that I have been there I got a haircut that was completely different than what I asked for. I did not want the hair style they were giving me and I let them know during the cut multiple times. In spite of my multiple requests for the cut I requested I got a bob when I wanted a pixie cut. I was also charged full price for what I found out was a "touch up" haircut. I thought that I was going for a normal hair cut and was not even aware that there was another lower level of service which was what I received. I should have not been charged full price when I did not get a shampoo and left with hair style that I did not want. Extremely poor customer service. The hair cuts were not bad. They were just not what I asked for. If you go here the stylists probably won't listen to your requests and you might walk out with something unexpected. Extremely disappointing for $75. read more

I just loved this Salon. I got my haircut by Shirley about a week ago and I'm still super happy with the results. It was really easy to set up an appointment by phone and I received texts reminders prior to my appointment. I had never been to the Mill Creek Town Center before but woah, what a cool place! It was pretty easy to find the Bravata location. Upon walking in, one of the stylists immediately greeted me and asked if I would like some water. The salon is super cute (and currently under construction) and had a nice vibe. My appointment started right on time, which is a huge plus for me. (I don't know how many times I've had to wait 15-20 mins. past an appointment time.) Shirley took her time understanding what I wanted during the consultation and then it was off to the sink. I'll mention right here that the head massage/hair washing I received was amazing. Shirley was super friendly throughout the cut/style and made me feel quite comfortable. As a newbie to the PNW she gave me some tips on places to go, things to see which was much appreciated. I really liked the cut I received and was so happy that Shirley was able to thin my super thick hair out. This place has way more style than substance. It certainly looks trendy, and the added on bar is a nice touch, but it doesn't really live up to its style or to the prices they charge. I had gone a couple times to get my hair dyed or roots touched up and liked the results (albeit not the price so much). But several months ago I called to make an appointment to get my woefully underserved roots touched up. When I showed up, the stylist went to cut my hair and said that's all he had been booked for or had the time for. He said that if I canceled the booking I'd be charged a cancellation fee. For a booking THEY had messed up. Since the place keeps your credit card number on file when you make the reservation, I felt like they were holding my money hostage. They could tell I was upset with this, so the stylist arranged to have another stylist do my roots a couple hours later. I had to kill time at the town center, which was really inconvenient, and when I showed up again for my appointment I felt like I was given the cold shoulder. No greeting. No offered drink (although they've never offered me water before), and I sat myself awkwardly at the bar for about fifteen minutes before the new stylist fetched me to color my hair. For a salon with aspirations toward greatness, it's key to remember the customer should always be treated like gold. I'm not a demanding customer by any means, but if I'm going to pay a couple hundred dolllars for something I could do at home for ten, I'd like not to be treated like I'm trying to rip them off. And for god's sake, offer your clients something to drink instead of trying to milk them for more money by making them purchase one. read more
