Here's something many of you may have experienced - "I have seen the future of medicine, and it's not pretty!" RadNet has gobbled up diagnostic imaging centers in at least 10 states, according to their website. Locally, the Rolling Oaks Radiology Women's Center at TOSH (Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital) medical offices building came under RadNet's umbrella some years ago. I just went through 23 minutes of hell on the phone trying to schedule my annual mammogram. I'd attempted to schedule online and the website was frozen / not functional. While I was on hold, the outbound message indicated that a new kind of early breast cancer detection is available. I used that last year and had to pay $40 out of pocket as it was newer technology and not yet covered by insurance. The outbound message on hold advocated for opting for this "EBCD" technology and indicated that it MIGHT now be covered by insurance. Okay - advancement, right? The agent who was helping with the scheduling ended up arguing that his records indicate that this extra option is still not covered by insurance - never, no-how, no. That's misleading, bait and switch on the part of whoever is responsible for the recording on hold, which raises the hope that this important tool could be covered by insurance. I don't like being swung around by a business setting unrealistic expectations, then not having all of the correct information being provided to their representatives. I expressed that this is concerned and asked the rep to please escalate my comments to his supervisor. He essentially shut that down, which is what has led me to creating this entry and sharing my experience. On the one hand - $40, not that big a deal. On the other hand, in our current economy - that might be half a tank of gas, which I would need to get to their facility! More so, it was the principal that the rep essentially didn't believe me when I quoted to him the message on his company's own recording. He tried to claim he wasn't responsible for that contents. Well, someone in the corporation needs to be responsible! There was also drama with the situation that the imaging center that I've been going to for over a decade is completely booked for mammograms through the months of June and July. Completely booked? Hmm. The rep kept trying to steer to other locations, including one that I wouldn't go to again if I lived to be 104 years of age. Had a very bad experience there over a decade ago and won't repeat that experience. (Simi Valley) There is a newer facility that has opened in Thousand Oaks on Hillcrest near the Oaks Mall. The rep assured me that they would have access to all my previous records from the TOSH location, and yet in his closing spiel he said that I should be prepared to bring previous images. Hello - I don't have them; his company does. Did I mention it was a hellish experience? These days, while there may be other diagnostic providers out there, RadNet is taking over like a giant squid spreading its tentacles across the medical sea. Big sigh! read more

If you have the option, go elsewhere, especially if you have a health problem that needs to be diagnosed using imaging. Many reviews here are the same. Here is my experience: First, the soonest appointment for an MRI was a week out. Second, I walked in with $400 cash (four $100 bills) for a $395 MRI. The lady at the desk refused to take cash unless it was the exact amount and she wouldn't take an overpayment of $5. No where was I told to bring in the "exact amount". My spouse left to go get the exact amount since between the two of us, we couldn't come up exactly $395. While he was out, the office magically came up with $5 to give me change for the $400. Second, it's been 8 days since my MRI and my provider and I have not received a report yet. When someone is in pain, having numbness and tingling down an arm from a cervical problem, the provider needs to know what the problem is to start a treatment plan. This morning I called the "customer service" number listed on the RadNet website to inquire about the report. This number took be to scheduling. I explained who I was and why I was calling. She said she was "scheduling" and transferred me to someone else. While this someone else is answering, I can hear her and the hold music going at the same time. Finally the hold music stops. I had to give my first name several times and spell it. She was not getting a simple name like "KEVIN". Then she says I do not find a "KAY". I explained "my first name is 'KEVIN' and spelled it again. She finally found my account. I told her it's been 8 days since my MRI and the provider says she entered it as a STAT order. This customer service rep said it wasn't entered as "STAT" and it can take up to 10 business days to read an MRI. She then proceeded to count down the days and noting the weekends days to justify why my report is not ready yet. RadNet needs to do better. 1. Put in writing in all the texts and emails and online forms that "exact amount" is needed if paying by cash. 2. The turn around time of 10 business days for an MRI is unacceptable in the medical community. The national turnaround time to get a routine outpatient MRI report back typically ranges from 24 to 72 hours for the radiologist to interpret. 3. If there is a "customer service" department, their phone number should be available on the Contact page of the RadNet webpage. The number for customer service should not be the "scheduling" department. I will never use RadNet again based on this first time experience. read more

WESTCHESTER LOCATION THIS HAPPENED TODAY... I would like to provide feedback regarding my recent experience at this location. Typically, my experiences with customer service over the phone have been disappointing. However, during my most recent scheduling call, the representative was surprisingly pleasant and helpful. I was scheduled for an MRI at 8:00 AM and a mammogram at 11:00 AM. I arrived for my mammogram at approximately 10:58 AM. Upon entering, a young receptionist called my name and informed me that my appointment was scheduled for 10:50 AM. I politely explained that my appointment was at 11:00 AM and questioned whether there may have been a scheduling error or if the appointment time had been changed without my knowledge. Rather than addressing my concern, she repeatedly stated that my appointment was at 10:50 AM. The conversation became increasingly frustrating because my explanation was not being acknowledged. Eventually, I responded in a similar tone, reiterating that my appointment was scheduled for 11:00 AM and that I was fully aware of the time of my appointment. Unfortunately, this interaction reinforced the negative impression I have had of this location for years. I found the employee's attitude dismissive and unprofessional, and the experience left me feeling disrespected as a patient. Due to both past and recent experiences with customer service, I have decided that I will not return to this location in the future. i called five times to book an appointment, every time it took around 20 minutes to finally arrive to the point of the actually booking. And at that point, there was always a problem. I am still without and appointment. I will go for my sixth call. When you get to the location (I already been there for different appointments) the front desk people is generally rude and unprofessional, the technicians are ok and mechanical but I don't really know how good they may be. Today I called into RadNet and spoke to an Ellen E. And I just have to say she was so helpful and definitely went above and beyond. She he doctors office gave me the incorrect order for the test I needed and she not only called the but made sure that they resubmitted it correctly. To preface: I've had good experiences with the techs and in office, but good lord the scheduling experience is god awful. I got a request for repeat imaging. Fine. I go onto the website and schedule on 12.8 for 12.24. 12.10 I get a message from them. I call and am told everything is already set. Today I get a completely incomprehensible message (the person leaving the voice mail is talking very fast and very quietly - the only word I could make out is "appointment") and knowledge of my upcoming visit is the only reason I googled the number and found out they were calling. I call over and am told "your appointment is scheduled wrong." Why wasn't this caught when I called in? Why didn't it get caught for two weeks? Who the heck knows, they sure don't and couldn't tell me anything other than there's no more availability this month. So yeah. If you ever need follow-up imaging for a mammogram, maybe just call instead of using the portal because clearly, it can't be trusted. read more

Every time I've made an appointment with RadNet for health screening exams, they have said my insurance is telling them I owe hundreds of dollars for the tests. Don't get me wrong, American insurance is a scam, but RadNet is profiting off of that. Two years ago I assumed there must be an error and I would be reimbursed, as they told me at RadNet. I paid in advance as required, did the test, then tracked it through my insurance portal. Insurance covered the test in full and sent the money to RadNet. I called to ask for a refund and no one would get back to me. They received payment from me and my insurance for the same test and kept it. This was not a copay/coinsurance issue. Everywhere else I've gone for the exact same tests, my insurance has covered them in full. I've paid nothing. I tried to see this year if going back would be worthwhile, because they're convenient to me- again they told me it would be hundreds out of pocket "according to my insurance." I was instantly locked out of the account I tried to create Chatbot does not exist, it is never available Sending an email to through their IT is pointless No one responds After two weeks of trying to get results I finally was able to get a human on the phone, Rude as she was I was hopeful when she said she would email me with to confirm I requested my scans and she would send them THAT WAS A LIE I did receive an email saying my account was unlocked and to log in again NOT THE CASE, as soon as I tried to log in-1 time only, I was locked out again. I have to reschedule my doctor's appointment because the test results were necessary and I have to have the tests done again because I can't receive my results. My insurance will NOT cover a second test. DISASTER- do not ever use any of their services EVER I actually cannot believe this has occurred and I am stuck in this position. SHAMEFUL read more

RadNet is hands down one of the worst businesses I've ever dealt with, and it blows my mind that they're still allowed to operate. Let's start with the billing disasters. They are notorious for sending out incorrect bills--charges for services that were already paid, covered by insurance, or in some cases never even rendered. Patients like myself (and many others, just check their BBB profile) get stuck with aggressive collection attempts and unresolved disputes. The Better Business Bureau didn't hand RadNet an "F" rating for nothing--it's because they refuse to fix their mess and leave patients fighting over mistakes that RadNet created in the first place. Then there's the scheduling nightmare. Appointments are constantly double-booked, rescheduled, or outright canceled without notice. People take time off work, rearrange their day, and then show up just to be told "oh sorry, we don't have you in the system" or "you'll have to wait, we're overbooked." And don't bother calling their so-called call center--you'll sit on hold forever only to be met with someone completely useless who can't resolve even the simplest issue. Speaking of staff, let's talk about customer service. Rude, dismissive, and unhelpful doesn't even begin to cover it. If you question a bill or try to get clarity on scheduling, expect to be treated like you're the problem. They're cold, unprofessional, and more interested in rushing you out the door than actually solving anything. Combine that with the long wait times--where you can sit in a packed, chaotic waiting room for hours even with an appointment--and it's clear RadNet doesn't value patients' time or dignity. And it's not just patients saying this. Their own employees have sounded the alarm. Look up RadNet on Glassdoor or Indeed and you'll see the same story repeated: overworked, underpaid, burned-out staff forced to do the jobs of three people. Constant turnover because management doesn't care about them--or the patients, for that matter. Poor training, favoritism, and supervisors who are more worried about profits than quality care. So let's recap: * Billing? Broken beyond repair. * Scheduling? Total chaos. * Customer service? Rude and dismissive. * Wait times? Hours wasted in overcrowded waiting rooms. * Management? Disorganized, greedy, and careless. * Employee morale? In the gutter. My experience is this Santa Monica Imaging center of Radnet for MRI's is that it is a very dangerous place. Unprofessional tech and office manager, in their manner and most importantly they lack integrity and professional and knowledge. I had 2 back to back MRI's. When the MRI's were done- nothing happened. No communication while I am STILL IN the machine. I start saying, "hello" "Update please" after about a minute, more "hellos" from me - then I hear. "you are done" Me: "ok, get me out of the machine then" nothing. I start pressing the emergency button. The young female tech gave me - no communication. I could have been having a medical emergency, if so, I would be dead as there was no response. i keep pressing the emergency button. I then hear, "give me a minute" - not, are you ok, no, but "give me a minute" when she came in about one minute later- to get me out of the machine,needless to say - i was very angry. She said she was talking to the radiologist. When I spoke to the office manager, she said the young tech had to speak to the radiologist (about another patient, because my test was done) The office manager offered no compassion for me being left in the machine. To make matters worse, my husband called the next day to discuss what had happened to me, with the office manager. She was unavailable and my husband was told that a MALE tech named Steven, had given me my MRI !! Now we are wondering if the young female tech that left me in the machine for no reason is even a licensed or certified tech!!! Stay away from this place. This kind of lack of integrity and professionalism comes from the top - no one is home watching the important aspects of this imaging center. read more

If you don't have the correct order from my physician, don't call me to reschedule the appointment while lying and saying you finally have what you need to see me this time! Now my test results still haven't come back after 6 days!!! I've called several times and they give me a different answer every time. We found that 10 days after the MRI, the radiologists STILL had not reviewed the film and done a report. I visited 3 different days to get the report for the doctors follow up appt. At day 4 and day 10. There is no urgency or professionalism here. The front facing workers pout the finger at the prescribing doctor and the prescribing doctor points to the radiologist who isn't doing their job. Net result: YOU GET SCREWED and DONT GET THE CARE YOU NEED IN A TIMELY FASHIP. If you need help, go somewhere better. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO GET GOOD CARE. SORRY. read more

RadNet sent me to collections over their own billing error, and I'm not alone. RadNet currently has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau, due in part to unresolved billing complaints, including reports of accounts sent to collections without notice, misapplied or missing insurance, inflated upfront charges, and failure to issue refunds. Sadly, I experienced this firsthand after being a RadNet patient for over 20 years. In 2024, I went in for a routine imaging appointment covered by a PPO plan that did not require prior authorization for the service. As usual, I paid what I owed at check-in, and everything seemed business as usual. Fast forward nearly a year later, I received a confusing bill from Beverly Radiology Medical Group, which I didn't realize was associated with RadNet. The bill didn't align with my records, and given that I was dealing with a serious illness and multiple family losses, I set it aside, assuming it was a mistake. On June 28, 2025, I opened another notice dated May 20, labeled "Final Notice," with mismatched dates that raised red flags. A suspicious collections text followed the next day. I called the number on my invoice and I was shocked to learn my account had been sent to collections with no call, no follow-up, and no explanation. For two decades, my bills with RadNet have always involved insurance and payment at time of service, so this was completely out of the ordinary. I spent over an hour speaking with my insurer and three RadNet representatives, including a billing manager whose tone was cold, dismissive, and unprofessional. Instead of listening, she just chastised me for interrupting her and offered no real resolution. I was not intentionally interrupting her and apologized that that was happening because I was so shocked about going to collections over what was clearly a billing error. She offered no empathy and continued to chastise me. I had to call my former insurer myself who got RadNet on a conference call, claimed I'm still responsible for the collections even though my insurer confirmed the bill was inaccurate, and again, confirmed they never received a claim from RadNet and no prior authorization was needed. Here are the facts: * RadNet never applied my insurance, despite having it on file * They claimed a missing prior auth, even though none was required * My insurer stated they never received a claim, so they couldn't have denied or approved anything * I received no phone call to address the insurance information before being sent to collections This is unacceptable. Patients should not be penalized for a company's internal billing failure, especially with no opportunity to correct it. Being sent to collections under these circumstances is damaging and unjust, and judging by the BBB complaints, I'm far from the only one. RadNet needs to take accountability and fix its broken billing and customer service practices before more patients are harmed. read more

I went to this clinic for a mammogram. Before the procedure, I informed the staff that my breasts are sensitive and asked them to please be gentle and not apply too much pressure. Instead of being understanding, I was told rather rudely that I was a "difficult patient." The procedure was done very roughly, and I experienced significant pain. the outsourced company who does the scheduling for RADNET is absolutely ridiculous & it took 3 times on the phone with 3 different people & RIDICULOUS QUESTIONS TO ANSWER that have nothing to do with making an appointment (height & weight to make an appointment? why is it necessary to have to share this info?) & still no appointment could be made after they insisted I drive an hour plus after I told her my normal location I have gone to for 10 years. I rarely leave reviews these days, but my experience with RadNet's scheduling department was so frustrating and unprofessional that I felt compelled to share. I initially scheduled a cervical MRI for July 17 and called shortly after to let them know I might also have authorization for a lumbar MRI. I asked if both could be scheduled together for efficiency--they said it was noted. When the lumbar authorization didn't come through in time, I rescheduled for July 25. On July 23, I called to confirm and was told only the cervical MRI was scheduled. What followed was a circus of incompetence: I spoke with two staff members, Kenisha and Arianny, both of whom were shockingly unhelpful and seemed to have minimal knowledge of basic anatomy. I was disconnected from both calls--no warning, no callback, just sudden silence and "Hello? Hello?" on my end. Before the second disconnect, I was told my appointment had been rescheduled for August 5 around noon. I called back later to confirm that, and to check that I'd been added to the cancellation list as requested. The next rep said I was still scheduled for July 25 and had no record of an August 5 appointment. When I asked for a supervisor, I was told none were available--but that one would call me back later. No one ever did. This kind of disorganized, dismissive, and careless behavior from a medical provider--especially when patients are trying to manage pain and navigate insurance--is simply unacceptable. I still don't have a clear appointment or answers, and I've lost valuable time trying to fix their errors. If you need imaging done, I strongly recommend going elsewhere unless you want to chase your own tail through a maze of disconnected phone calls and miscommunication. read more

Monday, no return call, called again, new operator (I think) said they were awaiting copy MRI, she said they would call my Dr. Office and get back to me in a couple of days. They are reading scripts, you cannot get a direct number to any actual radiology location to speak to them & find out anything. Every phone number is just another stupid Radnet call center! And all the reviews about long delays for service are true. A month to schedule an MRI or any other specialty test, & then at least 2 weeks to get it read? The website is broken, and doesn't allow you to schedule your own appointments, so you're forced to contact them by phone and speak to an incompetent, rude person who lies and is completely clueless about the exam. Then, after an appointment is finally made, you get constant text and email reminders saying "Your doctor order an exam that needs to be scheduled." Just awful having to deal with this when your chronically ill. Too bad these exams can't be done elsewhere! read more

I took my mammogram at the Burbank location and the nurse was rude . I felt like I'm just another head count. The follow up is even worse. They text and email say that they were trying to reach me , which was a lie. On the phone they are ruthless, making me feel that there's something wrong with me. This is a serious matter and just because they're used to cancer patients all day long , does not mean that they can talk and present results in such a rude manner. I got so scared on the phone whereas they should be way more gentle and polite. read more

Tried making appt. The guy I spoke with for an MRI says you need a xray first. Call Dr to get order. Then proceeds to ask about implants a serial numbers. I said I would call back. Called back no problem getting appt without any of the bogus questions. I felt like he was trying to get more out of me than is needed. They are listed as a "WALK IN" location, what they mean is that you will have to move in to get service. Immediately we were notified at the window that it will be a "3 hour wait". The waiting room was a Tiajuana (at BEST) elbow to elbow sick cesspool of over 40 people! The parking lot was a waste land of disposable masks and trash.
