And to make matters more difficult, the drive into LA was long...and I had to use the bathroom...eek! As I walked to the busy food area, I walked passed the medical center and figured....they should have a bathroom. And they did! Solving my first problem and ready to eat, I was exiting but walked passed the busy in-house cafeteria. Wow was it busy! I was here...so I decided to check it out...and it was fantastic. There were many food stations and everything being made to order. Why walk down to the populated busy food area when there are wonderful options so close by! There were almost too many options...but I decided on the tostada salad. I got it loaded with beans, chicken, lettuce, cheese, olives, green onion, and pico...all on top of a baked shell. It was very delicious and as a combo, it came with a medium drink...which all totaled about eleven dollars. If I need to go to Pauley Pavilion again...I will stop here for sure!

I received a phone message from UCLA saying my Health Insurance denied my lung cancer surgery…read morescheduled for a week away. I called my Health Insurance and they said "nonsense, it had been approved weeks earlier" and I held the Willie Wonka golden ticket best coverage possible. UCLA never contacted me correcting their false information and it was hell living through this trying to get it corrected. On top of that: My letter to UCLA patient care: I was a patient at UCLA Reagan about 2 months ago. 16 gauge needles were incorrectly used, way over sized, improperly placed and could have caused nerve damage in my hand. If you disagree I have several seasoned, experienced RNs on hand that would gladly discuss this with you. They were horrified at my treatment, as were some UCLA hospital staff. Read that; some. After my surgery I awoke from anesthesia in recovery. No pain medication was available because the pharmacy was closed for lunch an hour then it would be another hour after it opened to fill the prescription. Think about having a lung resection and awaking to excruciating pain no relief. I reported these nightmares to UCLA Patient Care and no one is listening, no response. No supervision during these ordeals either. Days later Doctors approved my release and the staff forgot about me. Family waiting to take me home and I was lost in the system. Is anyone paying attention to patient care? You claim you listen and you care, in all sincerity I have heard nothing after reporting all this. I have a legitimate concern, and I am being ignored. Nurses say I was the best patient ever, so it's nothing triggering these horror experiences that I did.

If you reach out to patient experience office they will give them a pat on the back for helping push the veteran toward a mental health crisis and toward unaliving themselves because they get paid salary wether the patient makes their appointment or not . Why even see a patient when you can get paid for nothing ? Better to use the secure messaging online to communicate so that every attempt to schedule or reply is documented . The women's clinic here has monsters working the front desk who are the biggest haters of them all . They despise the people they serve and they get in the way of the doctor constantly . They will push you from your phone call or appointment with disrespect and then mark you down as a no show . It's a huge plot to get rid of patients or to mark them down to end their care by saying they didn't get with their doctors or follow up . The call center and the front desk are the number one reason why patients cannot get their care from their doctors .

I scheduled an appointment specifically for a urine test that had already been ordered ahead of time. The visit itself was very brief, and afterward my specimen was allegedly lost by the office. Despite this error being completely outside of my control, I was still charged $320 for the visit and another $200 for the follow up visit to tell me the specimen was lost. Throughout my experience, I often felt like the focus was more on billing my insurance than actually providing meaningful patient care. Multiple visits felt unnecessary and transactional, rather than genuinely focused on resolving the issue. What's most frustrating is the complete lack of accountability. Instead of resolving the issue fairly, I received unanswered emails, calls and generic responses from billing and staff stating the charges would remain unchanged. Patient concerns seemed dismissed rather than genuinely addressed. After speaking with others, it appears this may not be an isolated experience. I expected significantly better communication, professionalism, and patient care from a major healthcare system.

This place was so horrible. Probably the worst IOP I ever went to. If you aren't a "perfect patient" they get passive aggressive, give you attitude and talk to you like you are inconveniencing them. I agreed to go with the promise that a certain therapist (who came from the RTC house would not be assigned to me because we didn't mesh well) and I got them anyway. The dietitian when I was there spent about 4 minutes of our sessions asking how meals went- then wanted to play card games the rest of the 45 minutes. Some staff would roll their eyes when I spoke up in group making me not want to participate anymore. If I got overwhelmed or overstimulated, I would get in trouble and told I was "being non compliant" if I stepped outside for 5 minutes to get fresh air. They did absolutely nothing to help support my PTSD, sensory issues and OCD. I was told at one point that I needed to stop acting like a child. There was also a time I got in trouble for not eating a snack they provided because it was expired. But instead of letting me get a new one, they marked it as a refusal, and comforted an adolescent who was crying. Which is another thing- adults and adolescents should NOT be in these kinds of treatments together. There was so much adults weren't allowed to process because it was "inappropriate" but if an adolescent brought it up, it was okay. I felt like I made so much progress at Monte Nido Vista, then immediately backtracked when I got to EDCC. It was so much work to undo the damage they did.

I went from being overweight to obese with the weight gain. They kept says my weight gain didn't matter. I was pre-diabetic, had high cholesterol and became hypertensive during the program. My medical doctor said the treatment was ludicrous. I was encouraged to choose processed foods (cookies, ice-cream, chips) as opposed to picking healthy options. Our meal outings were to fast food restaurants. I'm in my 40s. Everyone else was in their 20s and 30s. Clearly they didn't know how to deal with an older patient with co-morbidities. This was the worst experience of my life. And I unfortunately experienced it at a time when I was at my lowest. I was forced to attend 30 days straight with no days off. When I tried to leave they said I needed to give the 2 weeks notice or else they would bill me $1000/day. That's when I asked my doctor to write a note and they reluctantly discharged me. Look up Resilience Treatment Center on Santa Monica Blvd instead.

It's very proficient and efficient. Even the cleaning people are friendly. They always have a smile on a good morning. I think whoever hires staff at Cedars deserves accolades for their ability to find the best of the best in every aspect of the hospital. Believe it or not I enjoyed the food. Never even looked at or addressed most of them and when they finally called me after several people who showed up after me had gone and and gotten tests When I was finally called the person confirmed I was there for a "bug bite". I had previously need to Urgent Care and this exact ER after being advised by my Drs office due to a tick bite in June. After an appointment with my primary this morning I was sent with a written referral to the ER. 1) they never even looked at the drs notes. 2) the dr never asked about my symptoms 3) I explained my dr was concerned about meningitis's so they took a TON of blood and the. Did a spinal tap to test spinal fluid. After that procedure I was told I would need to stay flat on my back for two hours and would be discharged at 7:30. Then the room started filling up. Not just patients and staff but family and machines. As someone with neurological issues the amount of stimulation cases me to completely shut down. I was hyperventilating, sweaty and clammy, my head started pounding. I asked/begged to be moved someone where quiet (i was told the hospital was out of ear plugs) then when it was about time to be released they decided to do a brain MRI...my second one since June so I was a bit hesitant but was told it was necessary so I did it. The Dr who had been helping me had to go so she said another Dr would be by to discuss all the test results with me. He never showed. I had to ask four more times to leave and then my paperwork has a diagnosis of "headache"!'!! I didn't even come in with a headache nor was it a primary concern. I live with 5 migraines per week so I know a bad headache and I didn't even have one. The paperwork shows a complete lack of understanding as to why I was there and on top of that the ride and dismissive behavior and never getting the actual Fr to talk to me was mind blowing. I will never again trust this ER. HORRIBLE!!! As I left there were several other people in the halls screaming they just wanted to get out of that place. The "charge nurse" was by far the rudest with the most attitude and refused to listen to me and even though I asked for the Dr twice she didn't get one and made one minimal Change to my discharge paper. She showed a complete lack of empathy or understanding. I hope she finds a new profession soon. Cause she does not give a rats about patients.
