If I could give LaserAway Navy Yard zero stars, I would…read more This was one of the most stressful and disappointing experiences I have had with any cosmetic provider. What began as an effort to improve my confidence turned into visible skin discoloration, ongoing distress, and a follow-up process that felt more focused on protecting the business than helping the patient. What stands out most is how things were handled once there was a problem. I repeatedly sought guidance and follow-up. Instead of clear clinical support, I was met with delays, redirection, and inconsistent communication. Multiple corrections and refunds were later made to my account, which only reinforced my concern that the services, records, and billing were not handled correctly from the beginning. By the end of this experience, I was left with unresolved cosmetic concerns, financial stress, credit issues, and far less trust than when I started. For a company that markets confidence and results, that is a serious failure. My advice to anyone considering this location: keep your own records, question everything, and do not assume that polished branding means polished care.

I found my home LaserAway, and honestly, the company is quite lucky because this is the first time I have had a positive experience with a LaserAway since buying my packages more than a year ago. Unlike the Arlington location, which is incredibly racist, inconsiderate, and unhelpful, I walked into this location today feeling like I was a member of the family. But before we even get to that, let's talk about the pre-appointment vibes. I called earlier this week to make an appointment, hoping they had something available for Thursday. Luckily, they did. I spoke to Shy and I knew from the moment that she answered the phone that I liked her. She was so pleasant and so sweet, nothing like any LaserAway corporate or center representative. I've ever spoken to. We made the appointment, she provided all the necessary information and I was set. So, today, I drove down for my appointment. Unfortunately, there was a game, which made parking a little complicated. I called the center and Shy answered the phone. She was so nice and accommodating and was so focused on me getting there safely over anything else. Luckily, I ended up parking at The Estate garage around the corner, which only charges five dollars per hour (in case you ever run into the same issue). I got there shortly there after, and was greeted by Shy with a smile. "YOU MADE IT!" she said. Her response honestly threw me off, but in the best way. I am so used to feeling like just another number, or worse, a bother to those at the Arlington location, this was such a welcomed way to be received. She checked me in, offered me a refreshment, then told me my nurse would be with me shortly. Less than two minutes later, out came Megan, who was also great. Megan walked me through the whole process, as they do, and got to work. She was very thorough and did a good job of asking questions and explaining various things before, during, and after. Then came check out, I checked out with Andre T., who was such a pleasure! Andre helped me book my upcoming appointments, and confirmed some information for me. Our entire interaction and exchange was extremely professional, kind, cordial, and inviting. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I thanked Andre and Shy for their kindness and explained that this is nothing like what I had experienced before. Not from Amanda Holmes on LaserAway's corporate team and definitely not from anyone at the Arlington location. Even though they didn't have to, they apologize for me having negative experiences before, and asked that I please come back to them for a better experience. They didn't even have to. By the time I walked back to my treatment room, I had already made up my mind that this was going to be my new spot. I am incredibly thankful for my experience today and every team member that I interacted with. Thank you for humanizing this experience and me, providing exceptional customer service. See you next week!

My husband called last week 8/7/26 to make an appointment and the office scheduled him for 8/14/26 first appointment of the day. He makes it to the appointment for them to tell him the doctor is not in and they called or emailed everyone on 8/7/26 to cancel/reschedule. My husband told them he never got any communications from them and in fact that was the day his appointment was made. The mistake of scheduling him when the doctor was already scheduled to be out is annoying on its own but it's infuriating when my husband communicated that he was arranging his work travel to make this appointment that this office tells him is important to keep up with the routine of. My husband walked off a 5plus hour flight drove straight there and they could not even be bothered to allow a PA to help get the treatment he was there for. That's the worst form of customer service and healthcare. The only solution offered was a oh well we called and emailed. When they did not btw! Dr. Perkins is wonderful but today's customer service from staff was awful.

It is located in an office building compound in Reston. There are two treatment rooms and a waiting area + checkout counter. Bathroom is outside the door but is maintained well and clean whenever I am there. They also have some skincare products for sale. The owner Venera is always patient to answer all my questions and concerns I have. Their extractions are top notch and I always leave the clinic with clean pores and glowy skin. I religiously take care of my skin at home so this is a monthly treat. I normally ask for microdermabrasion along with hydrafacial. Price is reasonable if you buy package deal. The only thing I wish they do differently is to cleanse the face with makeup remover gel/lotion of some sort before going straight for hydrafacial device. It seems a lot of people go there for laser hair removal too. I plan to try that one day.

PRE-COLONIC: -Do not eat 2 hours beforehand -Avoid gassy foods day before and day of like: cauliflower, cabbage, beans, broccoli, onions, cucumbers, raw apples, melons or unripe fruit -Apply abdominal castor oil pack for 1 hour 3 days in a row before (I didn't do this) COLONIC: -You will be lying down, undressed from waist down, and completely draped at all times. -Warm alkaline water (about 20 gallons) flows through a small sterile one use disposable tube that is inserted into your colon. -Occasional gentle massage aids in the release of accumulated waste and toxins. -She explains everything very thoroughly (super interesting to hear more about your body) and answers all of your questions. POST-COLONIC: -Right after you will want to go to the bathroom and empty all of your fluids and it takes awhile but after you're done you feel amazing...the only thing I can compare it to is when you wake up in the morning and brush your teeth and your mouth feels so fresh and clean, that's how my gut felt after! -Avoid gassy foods for 2 days -Avoid strenuous exercise -Eat laxative foods: salads, vegetables, fruit, juice, soup, fish, chicken, turkey -Drink several glasses of water with lemon juice CONCLUSION: I've read the other Yelp reviews and I can understand their concerns with the appearance but that's just aesthetics. I mean when you think about some of the best food you've ever had it's typically in a low key, hole in the wall spot. What's important is the end result and I highly recommend if you're looking for an effective cleanse this the place to go! I was so shocked at her nastiness and snarky attitude that I almost walked out twice, but went ahead- thinking she "cant" be this way the entire time. But- I was wrong.. she got worse. To begin ... she was late and left me at the door outside ... for 10 minutes. We she arrived she didn't even introduce herself.. I thought she was a front desk person. But she was slamming around clipboards and no eye contact .. just over all rude. She attempted to charge me for a consultation ... but I told her there was NO place where a $50 fee was attached to this appointment. The paperwork does mention a consultation ... but there is no mention of money . I told her " of course I assumed you would consult with me before sticking a hose up my backside .." she agreed to continue without a fee.. but from that point on was like a used care salesman.. or timeshare.. Pushing products and upselling with every word. When I questioned her about anything ... from the amount of water being used, or what was in the fluid of the "green coffee mugs" she was adding ... she blew me off and said "its a basic colonic that you asked for" there was no explaination of the service... no step by step sharing of what would happen before or as it was happening. For someone who has never had it done... that would be the least she could do ... It went south from there. I told her I was full, and she added more... told me to tell when I had enough and was full and I told her I already had a few minutes prior and she continued to add more. As she told me to roll to my side, I told her fluid was escaping and I could feel it on the table and on my buttocks.( in fact i had to raise my body and l lift my shirt, so it wouldn't get wet . When she told me to get up and walk across the hall to the bathroom - fluid came out ( as expected.. right :?) and she got furious. Told me I did it on purpose. While I was in the bathroom - she was banging doors etc... When I exited the bathroom she told me that she has 2 mops .. I just looked at her.. and say "excuse me" Her reply ? yes, I have 2 mops, get one and help me clean up your mess" I told her absolutely not - I was not about to do that. Would you clean up blood if you bled on the floor of the lab during a blood test ?? she told me to go out the back door ... ( my car was in the front parking lot. As you can imagine... I will not be sending any referrals her way . I would never go back and wouldn't send my worst enemy to her. She obviously needs more customers or she wouldn't be advertising with Groupon, but with this attitude - and demeaner - its no wonder she isn't doing well .
