Really wanted to give these guys a good review but 2nd time using them, they added an extra logo into our event poster/flyer without explicitly telling us they did it. An option was checked by default and it was snuck into the design and because no one was expecting an extra logo to pop up, it got printed. When I noticed this extra logo and called them - they had a terrible attitude, saying most people prefer to have this logo inserted in their work and it's common practice for union printing companies to add extra logos when printing work by default and they've been doing that for 15 years. No remedy was offered and basically said if we want it fixed we would have pay for a new expedited order. If you don't want a printer to be adding their own logo as a default to your work - I would suggest you use someone else. - - - Giving your business negative feedback does not equate to anti-union sentiment please. What a joke. Who taught you how to respond to criticism? Netanyahu? When printers send back digital proof - people are typically checking for color, layout, cutoffs etc. People don't expect your PRINTER to be adding in extra logos to your design. read more

I've used Radix so far for a small business card job and am in the process of moving a magazine I edit to be printed by them. The business cards were done very well and very quickly. Dale and Lantz were both very professional and helpful. I came into the shop to take a look at different papers and they were incredibly patient as I went back and forth on which stock I liked more for my cards, asking them to explain minute differences in paper texture multiple times. The magazine is a more complex job because of my organization's needs and Radix has been very patient and responsive in working through all the different permutations of the job details. Radix Media are easily the best printers it is possible to engage with in NYC. They are professional, high-quality, personable and timely. My nonprofit decided to order our brochures and postcards through Radix because we were impressed by their staffing and mission. We have continued to order from them for all our printing needs because we had unequivocally positive experiences. They have an eagle eye for any preprint corrections that need to be made and are extremely diligent about making sure the proof is perfect before the run is produced. They are willing and many steps beyond capable on their abilities to assist in all technical matters even when multiple revisions are required. After a number of screw-ups by Staples (fast and cheap...) and a distrust of online printing services where I can't get a good idea of the final product, I was looking for a local shop. Through three rave recommendations, I decided to try Radix Media and am now recommending their services to everyone! My partner and I have now used them twice - once for a larger run of promotional postcards for our business, and the second time for our wedding invitations. They can do it all! For our invitations, we also needed a non-standard size, and they were happy to cut the print to what we wanted - as opposed to using online services or big store that will only do their standard sizes. Lantz is always extremely responsive and helpful with providing quotes and answering any questions. Very fast turnaround, gorgeous prints, and fair prices. For extremely large runs, they are a little more expensive - due to their size, basically, being smaller than the big guys - but I'm happy to pay that slight amount more for promo materials in order to have extremely fast, reliable and personable service. We also really want to support these guys and their mission - of a completely worker-run, unionized business model. For smaller runs though, their prices are very competitive and maybe even cheaper (depending on paper type, size, etc.) than other printing services. Highly, highly recommend them!! read more

These guys are fantastic. I needed to print several hundred postcards and booklets for my company, which sells high-end accessories. The print quality is the best we have found in Brooklyn, and pricing is extremely reasonable. Apart from stellar final results, it is a pleasure to work with the people at Radix. I used Radix for a pretty big printing job a few months ago, and they were as friendly and accommodating as you can get. They took our awkwardly sized and poorly formatted files and made them look great. Since then I've gotten several quotes from them to use in grants and proposals and they are always fair.
